A quick refresher question for the order of award dragons in the RBCs…. If I have only a regular, I get a twin… If I have a regular and a twin, I get a rifted twin. Right?
I’m missing some of the traited versions of the required hints for the limiteds, Kroki, Snooz, Wolper and Florea. if I get these in the RBC, I’ll get the rifted one I will need. Yes??

Yes. But you can double check as you select the dragon to obtain, it will show you if it's a normal, twin, or rift twin.
If you have a twin egg, but not a twin dragon or a rift dragon, it'll still offer you a twin dragon before the rift version is available. That happens to me often, as I always collect the egg first for twins.
Thank you so much to adlerist and your team in doing all the prep work on this event! It gets better each time. 🙏🙏😍🤩..I am ready..😃
I have a couple of questions regarding breeding in the RBC:
According to the compendium, gem and crystalline dragons can be cloned, parent+parent, is that correct?
Can I also clone a galaxy dragon with both parents in the RBC?
Thank you!🐨🐨🐨
You’re very welcome! Thank you so much for your kind words and support! ❤️
Gemstone and Crystalline dragons cannot be cloned.
Galaxy dragons can only be bred at the Cooperative, with the exception of Rigel, who can only be bred in the Rift, and Lunis and Solis. But when Lunis and Solis are bred at the RBCs, they cause the game to crash. As a result, Deca has been changing their status so they’re no longer available when the RBCs are in the game. So in short, no Galaxy dragons can be bred or cloned at the RBCs.
Gemstones are a bit confusing too, because they do have cloning percentages. But gemstone dragons can't breed in Dragonvale, so they can't be parents. Most of the time. There is a rare event, and it's been ages, that allows gemstone dragons to breed in all the various caves.

Thanks Quil ! That will be my case as well then. 😊 After someone, quite a while back, probably you, mentioned about collecting the twin eggs first so we can still be offered another twin of the same, like from mystery eggs, etc, I started using twins for pedestals first. Unless I really need the dragon or don’t have a normal one.

“With only 0.5% chance of cloning, it will take 140 attempts to get one. With a 15.35 hour average fail time, it will take 89.53 days to breed one.”

In other news - it's been a year since I returned! Thank you so much to the forum for welcoming me back and all the support, I would not have stayed playing for a year without you all.
For the first time in a long time, I'm starting an event with a gold prize category.
You’re very welcome! Thank you so much for your kind words and support! ❤️

The Shimmering Solstice allowed players to use Gemstone / Crystalline dragons in breeding combos. It was held in the summer of 2016 and 2017. That’s likely why they’re showing percentages. But the Shimmering Solstice is an exception, that doesn’t look like it’ll repeat (although we’ve asked Deca to hold the mini event many times).
When players ask if Gemstone / Crystallines can be cloned, they’re told the answer is no, since this is the normal rule of the game. Can the Compendium have the cloning percentages hidden, to alleviate any confusion? If the Shimmering Solstice is ever held, the rules of the mini event will be explained in-game, and players will known they can use Gemstone / Crystallines in breeding combos. Then the Compendium percentages can show.
Due to a potential limit on the number of friends a player can have before issues arise in the game, I will only be able to add Forum members. Thank you, for your understanding, and please consider joining us!

Gems and Kairos are a player’s best friend. Hopefully, Triple Rainbow will become permanent like Rainbow and Double Rainbow. With a low breeding percentage, at least it won’t be a frequent breeding fail. We’ve asked Deca if it’ll be a permanent dragon.

Looks like my last edit didn't save. It should say
“With only 0.5% chance of cloning, it will take 140 attempts for a 50/50 shot to get one. With a 15.35 hour average fail time, it will take 89.53 days for an even money chance to breed one.”
Meaning of the group of players that try to clone a Triple Rainbow dragon, non stop till the 16th of June (of until they breed one), half of those players will still not have one.
On average.
:-)

Thank you for the amazing event thread adlerist and the spring story. The forum looks great - I love all the green and the songs are fabulous. The Cat in the Hat rainbow song is a bit of fun.

The Compendium's Dragonarium doesn't modify or alter any numbers from the source data, so I'll need to think on if I want to start that for a specific situation or leave it as an exact copy of the source. If you go to the breeding sim to try it, it won't let you use gemstones as parents. That's the part of the Compendium that modifies data, as it attempts to simulate actual breeding rules for the results.

There was a discussion on discord about this topic today, and I'm not sure others were as excited as I was to have it permanent one day. They bring up good points, it would just be another extra long fail once you collect your dragon. While the success rate is so very low, each cave will get locked up every 90 days for 2+ days with the above odds with most 'complex' breeds. They're already getting double rainbows on rare occasions (also 0.5), this would double that. Tough decision, and I'm not sure which side I land now.

I wonder if they could get around it by making it permanent but upping the number of elements needed - like needing six, or all ten using rainbow etc

And each breed using 4 elements will have a chance at all three rainbows. 😑 You are excited when you get the first few and then they just become a bother, but it is beneficial for DECA. Long permanent fails are thrown in to make you want to use those resources so you buy more. My guess is it will be permanent.

I am on the side of it NOT becoming permanent. I would much rather use event currency to purchase it once, than spend untold amounts of gems to speed it up over the coming years.
Would Deca let us vote on it, or take a Pole in the Plaza, yay or nay to TR becoming permanent ?

We haven’t heard a response from Deca about Triple Rainbow’s status. They may not release that information before the event ends. For consistency, I can see it becoming permanent. But Deca likely determined the dragon’s status before it was released, and I don’t know how keen they would be to change it.
There are positives and negatives for both sides. Regardless, g’luck to everyone trying to clone it! 🌈🌈🌈

I lost my gold category but Pouke has been added to the market and is presumably available to breed so who’s really winning here?
I think we’re all winning!
Pouke hasn’t been in the game since September 2020. We tried to get it into Dragons Week, but it wasn’t added. For all those players who don’t have Pouke or a traited Pouke, this is their first chance in a year and a half.

I’m not suggesting that you modifying the data, just hide the cloning percentages on the spreadsheet for the reader’s benefit.
I can see how someone would look at those percentages and question if the Gemstone / Crystallines are cloneable. If the content in the cells can’t be hidden, perhaps an added note letting players know cloning isn’t possible.

That is some great additions. Sorry, I didn't think of this earlier, but could Deca add the Monolith Boost to the event market? It hasn't been seen since 2017 (according to the Wiki).
