End of an Era Puzzle: Theme Count: 1 Odd ones out: 2 Difficulty: 3/5
How to Play: 1. Each of these pictures represents a dragon in DV. Your objective is to identify as many as you can while also finding the odd one(s) out. 2. These pictures correspond with a theme or themes of some sort that you will have to identify along with the dragons. Knowing the theme(s) can help you determine the odd one(s) out. 3. Send me a private message when you think you have your solutions; we're on the honor system for looking up dragons (as in please please please don't ruin the fun of figuring out the dragons on your own!) Winning: 4. The person with the most points wins; identifying a dragon correctly yields 1 point while finding an odd one out yields 5 and identifying a theme yields 3. 5. I'll send some gems to the top-scoring participants. 6. You have exactly a week from today to participate and submit your answers to me.
Sample response (the pictures read from left to right): 1. Dargon 2. Dargon 3. Dargon 4. Dargon etc. Theme 1 - Dargon Theme 2 - Also Dargon Odd one out 1 - Dargon Odd one out 2 - Dargon "the sequel" Odd one out 3 - Rainbow Dargon 3
And with that, enjoy!

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the forum, below are 10 Dragonvale general knowledge questions. They are hidden under spoilers, so you can reveal them 1 at a time. Please answer a question before moving on to the next one, but if you think about things and you want to change your mind, you can go back and edit your answers before you submit them.
I have created an answer form at my blog. Click on the link and have both of these pages open in tabs at the same time. Just put your forum name at the top of the answer sheet, and enter your answers as you read the questions. I am not collecting an email address or any other information about you, other than the name you use when you post at this forum.
{Question 1}This forum started on April 6th, 2012. A week later, on April 13th, 2 dragons were released, 1 regular and 1 hidden (meaning it could be bred, but didn’t appear in the market place yet). What were those 2 dragons? (A hint, the hidden one was an opposite dragon … as most hidden dragons were.) (2 points) a) b)
{Question 4}There were only 7 regular elements when Dragonvale was first released. Plant, fire, earth, cold, lighting, water & air. Which element was in the most dragon hybrids on the day it was released?
{Question 6}There are 19 different epic elements, including gemstone and galaxy (but not counting rift). Which 2 epic elements are the most common? (2 points) a) b)
{Question 8}The standard islands are roughly a grid of 26 x 28 in size, which would be 728 squares to place habitats and decorations. But the islands lose some squares in all 4 corners. So how many actual squares are available? (1 point to the person who is closest)
{Question 9}This or That? Below are 4 names found in the descriptions of dragons. Are they the name of a place or the name of a person (4 points) a) Akitu b) Theobroma c) Garita d) Pogona
This was by far the most difficult Name That Dragon! puzzle. After five hours of baffling members, OboeKade finally revealed the answer. It is a brilliant puzzle and my favourite from the Name That Dragon! series so far.
Can you name this dragon?

This puzzle is now the most difficult. It remained unanswered for more than 9 hours! That is until the brilliant ladyj came along and solved it in one try!
This was another challenging puzzle — but not for glolca who expertly unpuzzled the puzzle in a flash!

Dragonvale 10th Anniversary Trivia - The Answers
I'll post the answers under a Spoiler Tag below. If you come across this post and haven’t done this Trivia yet, the questions can be found at hhttps://dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/post/219061 Have a go, and then check out how you went.
{Answers}This forum started on April 6th, 2012. A week later, on April 13th, 2 dragons were released, 1 regular and 1 hidden (meaning it could be bred, but didn’t appear in the market place yet). What were those 2 dragons? (A hint, the hidden one was an opposite dragon … as most hidden dragons were.) (2 points) a) Steel b) Dodo
2. In its glorious 10 year history, the Dragonvale Community Forum has had how many mods and admin? (1 point going to whoever is closest.) 38 is the correct answer. Crazy I know. OboeKade was closest with 25.
3. What was the maximum level in the game when Dragonvale was first released?
20 Also crazy.
4. There were only 7 regular elements when Dragonvale was first released. Plant, fire, earth, cold, lighting, water & air. Which element was in the most dragon hybrids on the day it was released? Plant, Poison, Flower, Moss, Tree, Swamp, Seaweed, Willow. Fire was close, but didn't have any water hybrids at that point.
5. Name 3 Wizards or Witches that host a Dragonvale Event. (3 points) Everybody chose Gardenia, Kaleni & Whitbee. Good job.
6. There are 19 different epic elements, including gemstone and galaxy (but not counting rift). Which 2 epic elements are the most common? (2 points) a) Ornamental - 31 b) Aura - 22
7. Which 2 epic elements are the least common? (2 points) a) Melody - 6 b) Snowflake - 7
8. The standard islands are roughly a grid of 26 x 28 in size, which would be 728 squares to place habitats and decorations. But the islands lose some squares in all 4 corners. So how many actual squares are available? (1 point to the person who is closest) There are 646 squares available for Habitats and Decorations. Lisgie was closest with 682. Good job.
9. This or That? Below are 4 names found in the descriptions of dragons. Are they the name of a place or the name of a person (4 points) a) Akitu - Wizard - Spring Dragon b) Theobroma - Place - Cocoahollow Dragon c) Garita - Place - Bicentennial Dragon d) Pogona - Wizard - Bearded Dragon
10. Aside from “None”, how many different Island Themes are available? 27 Lisgie was very close with 28.
Thanks so much to everyone for playing. Amazingly we had a triple way tie for first with Lisgie, Triwizard and OboeKade all getting 7. Gems coming to them all.

The results are in! We had a shocking turn of events with lisgie placing the highest for every single puzzle. A hearty congratulations to you, and be expecting lots of gems in the future
I'll spoiler each puzzle for those who still want to give it a go.
Everyone got the first theme (DECA dragons) but no one got the second (the dragon names form an acrostic poem saying "FORUM TEN YEARS" with the odd ones out kinda throwing you for a loop) Odd ones out are Neyvee (wrong first letter), Razzle (not DECA + wrong letter), and Rigel (not DECA)
The theme here was dragons with world-building lore in their descriptions The odd one out was Poison, having no hint of world-building whatsoever in its description
The theme here was dragons released by backflip after announcing their closure The odd ones out were Macabre (released just before the closure announcement) and Woodvine (first DECA dragon)
Thank you all for playing, and if there's any interest I could make a few more if people like
