You’ve analysed and examined every aspect of each event dragon, now let us know which Luck of the Vale dragons brought the luck to your St. Patrick’s Day.
If you’re new to the polls and voting on the Forum, here are some helpful tips:
1. You must be a member to vote. This is a restriction by ProBoards and cannot be altered. An account is required to keep track of votes and to prevent multiple votes by anonymous guests.
2. When you vote, it is automatically recorded. There’s no Submit button. Backing out or clicking away from the thread will not undo your vote.
3. If you accidentally vote for a dragon or warm up to another dragon later, you have until April 27th to change your vote.
4. The poll will close on April 27th at 11.00 PM MDT.
Also, in addition to the dragon ratings, I’ve started to include player feedback for the event. If you have any comments, suggestions, complaints, or compliments regarding the event structure, mechanism, features, etc, please post it here, and I’ll pass it on.
Many thanks to you for all your time and consideration!

My top two are Fae and Niamh; I think the others are great (there have been no clunkers this event!) but none stand out as a clear third place right now

Currently breeding for whatever twins I can possibly get my hands on
This was a good event with some really nice dragons. The Runic Caves are a popular game mechanic as it can give the opportunity to obtain a good amount of eggs as well the chance to keep some dragons at the end of the event – always a winner!
Prices were very reasonable for the new dragons in the event – it would be great if all events were priced similarly.
There were a couple of dragons with complicated breeding combos – Arcrider in particular where you needed to breed several dragons first before you arrived at the final breeding pair. Arcrider is only a rare dragon so the breeding combo seems unnecessarily complicated. Wolper + Dandelion would have been a good alternative.
If a dragon's breeding combo is going to include a dragon that contributes all ten elements, perhaps consider keeping it until the last limited dragon so that there are 10 days to breed it. Or increase the breeding percentage please.
I love the Hidden theme, but it is really blurry. I do play on low resolution but other island themes are not as blurry. Is it possible to make it more like the other themes please?
The egg designs are amazing and really complement the dragons.
I like all the new dragons. My favorites are Niamh and Quaa.
As with the last few Deca events, I have enjoyed this one. Thanks to the tremendous resources (strategies, hints, tips, compendium, etc.) provided by adlerist and her tireless team, it has been a lot of relaxing fun for me.
The breeding odds were not too terrible, although some of the combos were a bit complicated, and it hadn’t been easy to finally breed a parent, especially in the rift. On the other hand, there were a lot of ways to collect event currencies. I don’t even mind picking up the eggs, since the colors are so pretty when the rest of the vale is in black and white. I ended up with a lot of currency so decided to be lazy and just bought the triple rainbow, two of them. 😀… I am not a big decorator, so will be purchasing a lot of the burcadian monolith to sell. 😛
It was generous of Deca to give players 5 free RBC dragons, and the last daily gift included the entire collection from the different tiers. I am very appreciative of Deca paying attention and listening to all the players.
At last a more achievable event, I managed to breed at least one of six of the dragons, and the eggs were easier to find than most of the hidden gifts in other events. The breeding combinations provided some challenges, which is only right and proper! Thank you for a great event DECA

I really liked the Luck of the Vale event because of the Runic Caves! I’ll always love it when they’re in an event. I also liked the dragons a lot. Quaa was my fave along with Triple Rainbow. My only criticism is with some of the breeding odds. Fae was too difficult to breed. There’s too many breeding fails with all 10 elements, so the breeding and cloning percentages should have been much higher. Niamh was also hard to breed but at least it didn’t have as many long fails. Also 1% cloning is always too low!
I am so happy DECA did an Irish themed event!! I really love that and I want to thank the people at DECA for remembering us and giving us a wonderful event!
Thank you for the Runic Breeding Caves! I always buy a satchel of Runestones and try to breed as many dragons as I can in the caves. It’s really fun and challenging. I definitely play DV 10 times more when the RBC are in an event. I love being able to select my dragon eggs and it helps me get some of those twin and Rift dragons I’m missing. There’s a lot of strategy behind the RBC and I really enjoy that. It definitely keeps me interested!
I agree with singleimage about the breeding and cloning odds. They really could have been improved for Fae and Niamh. In general, 1% and 1.5% is too low.
Quaa, Triple Rainbow, and Niamh were my three favorites in this event, in that order.
Thanks for the great event DECA!
