For those who are new to Rate a Dragon, Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release. This will allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on November 2nd. At the end of the event, your feedback will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.
Please take a minute to rate the Candy Bash IX dragons from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your ratings and comments on this thread or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your thoughts, and making this game even better with each dragon.

Been wanting to do one of these for a while! 1. Animation 3/5, I like how most of their animations involve their little minions! However my main gripe is that the walk and run animations feel sorta floaty, other than that, they're solid!
2. Rift trait 4/5, it's minimal but works well. (edit: the rift trait placement was changed, looks much better, but I will still give it a 4/5)
3. Size (if you don’t own Brood, please check a friend’s park) 3/5, it's okay but maybe it could have been a touch bigger?
4. Price (15,000 Candy) 2/5, yeahhh not a fan of this because a dragon like brood should not be this expensive
5. How well does Brood fit the theme of the event 5/5, spooky bug lad
6. Design details 4/5, I really like the wing details, other than that, not much else to say!
7. How would you rate Brood’s breeding combo (DRACABRA + GATREN) 2/5, bat + bat = bug doesn't really make much sense tbh
8. How much do you like Brood (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 4/5, I think brood is cool, fits in quite well, but I like other dragons more

BROOD DRAGON
1. Animation 4/5, not quite perfect but has a lot of character! the way the babies spawn out of the leg rather than the mouth does hurt the rating.
2. Rift trait 1/5, hardly even noticeable. i feel a little mean ragging on it though, considering there's not much else that could have been done for it, but i really dislike it all the same.
3. Size (if you don’t own Brood, please check a friend’s park) 3/5, not terrible but it looks like it should be bigger.
4. Price (15,000 Candy) 3/5, a bit high for my liking. maybe 12k would be better?
5. How well does Brood fit the theme of the event 5/5, very well!
6. Design details 3/5, as with a lot of dragons i feel like it could use with less detail. would definitely help make the trait able to be put in a better spot, too. i do love the babies, though.
7. How would you rate Brood’s breeding combo (DRACABRA + GATREN) 1/5, both of these are very difficult dragons to get (outside of dracabra being... questionably cheap in the market), and as a newer player my only hope of even coming close was to co-op breed.
8. How much do you like Brood (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 3/5, it has a lot going for it but also a lot of things i'm not a huge fan of.

1. 5/5 Fab animation, its actual brood steal the show. 2. 2/5 There’s subtle & then there’s unnoticeable. (I appreciate deca adding extra colour but for a drab dragon it could do with even more. Upped my score though!) 3. 5/5 No complaints size wise. 4. 1/5 Just no. 5. 5/5 Perfect spooky fit. 6. 4/5 Great wings. Love the extra brood it brings. It’s a bit gross which suits the theme but it’s also a bit dull. 7. 3/5 It does look like the offspring of these two but Gatren is a hard breed so quite difficult to get in the rift. Although having seen the trait placement, I’m not too bothered I couldn’t breed one! 8. 3/5 Not the best but not awful.
Today, Deca added a lot more trait to Brood! As a result, I replaced Brood’s video with a new one that displays his updated look in the Rift.

Comments / feedback for Deca : Really like how the baby broodlings fly with their mother and rest on her back when they get tired. Not a fan of the puking and the babies eating it. This may be how some animals feed their young, but it is an unnecessary detail. Brood is expensive for the first limited dragon. The breeding pair seems overly complicated for an elemental dragon. Gatren especially is difficult to breed as it requires Eldritch, which is nearly impossible to breed.
