4. The poll will close on Wednesday, November 2nd at 11.00 PM MDT.
Also, in addition to the dragon ratings, I will include player feedback for the event. If you have any comments, suggestions, complaints, or compliments regarding the event structure, mechanisms, features, etc, please post it here, and I’ll pass it on.
Many thanks to everyone who participated for all your time and consideration!

I was fortunate enough to breed most of the dragons in this event, thank you DECA for making the breeding odds more favourable this time. This being said, I had enough to buy the hideously expensive Hydnellum without blinking, but I still think this is too high a price for any dragon. Great designs, especially the eggs, well done

My top 3 were amalgamate, rotblossom & vampir. Thought amalgamate & rotblossom were stunning & wonderful designs! Can’t decide which of them is my favorite. And thought vampir was a ‘cute’ scary design. Liked it a lot. Great event and wonderful dragon designs. Great additions to Dragonvale. Stunning gorgeous egg designs again! Love egg hatchey and the extra candy it gives us is appreciated! Thanks for a great Halloween event DECA! 😃 👍🏻👏🏻 🧟♂️🎃
p.s. (edit) forgot to say how much i like the new decorations! Especially like the fog and the cracked surface w/bubbling lava & creepy emerging hands! 😃👍🏻

Dear DECA: Thank you for the new fog decoration! Love it and have added several to my park. Can we have more like this? Maybe a sparkly one and one that looks like a pond?
I also appreciate the infernal and the oozing pits. They are not easy to decorate with, but the similarity to Dr Who’s crack in the wall is brilliant!
This was a good event with some great spooky dragons. I wouldn’t want to come across any of them on a dark night – or even during the day. It was nice to have good co-op breeding odds for the unbreedable dragons (Dortal, Grimoire and Vampir).
Most of the baby dragon designs have a simple design and easy to see, but when the dragons become adults they get too complicated in their design – especially their heads which seem to shrink and have a lot of detail.
Thank you for having some easier breeding combos in this event. But if a breeding dragon already includes the elements, please don’t include them as part of the hint. Amalgamate = Bone + fire + earth + dark. This is confusing to newer players who don’t understand that they only need Bone + a dark element.
Please stop using Eldritch (impossible to breed) in a breeding combo or needed as a grandparent (Gatren) and Wrath (evolve dragon). They are now both required in two dragons. There are many other dragons that could be used. It would be fitting for some of the elemental dragons to be used in some combos. Fungus could have been a parent for Hydnellum and Shadow or Miasma could have been a parent for Kage.
The new spooky decorations are fabulous. I especially like the Sunken Dragon and the Eerie Fog. And again the egg decorations are outstanding.
Thank you for the extra Spooky Habitats. Please can we have more islands to enable us to display the new habitats and all the new dragons that are being released. We need at least 5 new islands to take us back to par and we need at least 2 islands each time if the Expansion Extravaganza is to be held every six months. Most end game players are struggling for real estate and would really appreciate more room to display their dragons.

Egg designs are beautiful. Really loved the Eerie Fog and Sunken Dragon. The new Melody Theme became a must have after seeing it in a few parks - the design is great and there are enough colors to use habitats other than just the melody habitats. Thank you for the extra Spooky Habitats and and all the spooky dragons to put in them!
Thanks to Deca for some great dragons & decorations. I surprised myself by deciding on Vampir as my overall favourite but several were joint second. The only one I don’t like is Rotblossom so one out of eight is a pretty good return. Love the Eerie Fog, the Booquet & the Melody Theme, not so keen on the Sunken Dragon or the Pits as despite liking the concept, I found them really difficult to fit 🤷♀️ Great to have the return of some old favourites & the raised cap on the Spooky habitats but that does lead to the never ending gripe of NOT ENOUGH SPACE!!! Please can we have more islands (plural) before the next event because I know it’ll bring some glorious decorations that need to be on display not stuck in storage.
Thumbs up too for the return of Eggy Hatchy, it definitely encourages me to log on more often.
Finally a plea for the next Candy Bash, could we have the smallest pumpkin (from locate the pumpkins) as a permanent decoration? A few of those would look great along side the Gloominaires.

YES! This is an excellent idea!! I love the little pumpkin. I’m always sad to see it go when the event ends.
Can a pumpkin be adorable? I think so!
And this one, classically aghast. 😮

Vampir is my favorite, while Dortal and Brood come in second and third.
This event was a bit hectic for me since I was on a three week vacation (out of the country) right in the middle of the event. I was not able to check in everyday, never mind a few times a day... Nevertheless, I was able to breed all the limiteds (although not all traited ones, and one park without the Hydnellum), and I managed to have enough event currency to purchase everything.
Thank you to Deca for another great Halloween event. All the dragons fit the theme, and are spooky enough! The babies and eggs are gorgeous. Love all the new decorations and the additional habitats. Eggy Hatchy is certainly a "teaser", to which I have developed a love/hate relationship.
It would be great if we don't need to use the very difficult to breed, with a fixed combo, dragons as parents or grandparents for the event dragons.
All in all, I have enjoyed this event. Now playing catch up with decorating and organizing my parks before the next event.
My choices were Rotblossom, Kage and Vampir. Kage and Vampir really represent the two completely opposite kinds of dragons I love - the 'elegant' and the silly. The Deca team really brought their A-game this event. Spectacular dragon ideas! They were diverse and eye catching. I'm pleased to have each one in my park.
The new decos were nice too. Whoever thought up that eerie fog - THANK YOU! It's perfect. The additional Spooky habitats were also a welcome addition and my Melody dragons are rocking out in their newly themed island.
Given the recent habitat cap increases, new elements, the consistent dragon releases and additional pedestals/decos to house (for those who collect them), it might be time for DECA to consider releasing more than one island every 6 months. Even a single third Gargantuan island would really help with the space issues. Certainly finding organized placements to display 5-7 pedestals x 2 (rift) or x 3 (rift, twin) per event is becoming unreasonable. Personally, I like things fairly organized, not jumbled together, so some breathing room would be appreciated. Of course, finding the dragoncash to pay for more islands is another matter entirely.
Eggy Hatchy - perfect for gathering extra currency this event. It threw me when Dragon Week started, but in a way it worked out well. I always have trouble making enough points and all those leap years sure helped!
And Dragon Week - thanks for putting it at the end of the event. Though I'd rather it showed up between events so I could properly focus on it, I appreciate it not being at the beginning. But thank you for just giving us a Dragon Week! I hope everybody was able to make use of it.
Oh, and that little Amalgamate contest was such a great idea! I hope you do that again.
The new dragons were very inventive and varied. I like them all, but particularly Brood, Kage, Grimoire and Vampir.
The melody theme is beautiful and the new decorations, especially fog, are great additions to DV.
Earning event currency was very doable. Having to change eggy hatchy strategy for dragon week was interesting.
Great concept to have a regular dragon week throughout the year. I personally would like the dragon week to be between events to give an opportunity to focus on breeding missing dragon versions rather than weighing up breeding dragon week or event dragons.

But only if we have to search for something else (skulls?) I already mistake decos and habitat stakes and whatnot for special event "visitors," what a disaster if the "visitors" actually WERE identical to decos!

Gotta say, this event had really good designs, Dortal, Rotblossom and Brood were my favourite designs, I think the only things I had problems with were dragon costs (starting off the batch of limiteds with Brood costing 15K is a huge miss) and Kage's combo. Other than that, great event overall
