Nothing changes whether it's in Uncollected Shown or Uncollected Hidden. Nothing is greyed out and some of the dragons have high numbers in the top right corner of their individual icons Amalgamage 3, Ahoy 4, Aresian 2, Bellflower 8, Blizzard 100. If I went through the whole list it would amount to hundreds. Since this event started I've logged in less than normal (only once or twice a day) as I've been flat out preparing for the Christmas madness.

Just to check you're definitely viewing Egg History in the Runic Caves? If you're viewing it anywhere else, it will show the Egg History of your main park caves rather than this event's RBCs.
If you are using the RBC Egg History page then it definitely sounds like it's a bug. Perhaps contact support? (Or see if there's a dragon you want and see if you can claim it 😉)
How utterly silly of me! I was looking at the egg chart for the normal breeding cave and NOT the runic breeding list. I think the intense heat of the last few days must have fried my brain! Cecilia at the Duckpond

Could someone please explain how I was able to breed an Amalgamate dragon during this event?
Lately I've been trying for the weekly limited dragons, and I've been trying for Everfrost which was finally successful. I've been using my Elder Cold in co-op with someone's Everfrost, or Elder Cold with adlerist's Elknar, for example. And yet this pairing somehow resulted in an Amalgamate a few days ago.
When I checked the wiki, it says Amalgamate is expired. Anything I tap on in my game says the dragon is not available. It even has a grey hourglass next to its picture. So how did I get one while trying for the dragons in this event? Is this a glitch or am I not noticing something?

Hmmm, you definitely shouldn’t be able to breed Amalgamate. Plus, Bone is in Amalgamate’s breeding combo, so even if Amalgamate was breedable, you aren’t fulfilling the requirements. I haven’t heard from players about this, and the other Game Reps haven’t reported an Amalgamate bug from their DV communities. I’ll let Deca know.

I have always wondered why Christmas is the only day of the year for triple days. I have wanted to have more triple days (preferably once per event) as it would be more consistent.
For example, Valentine's Day (February 14), Easter, Memorial Day (last Monday in May), Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving (last Thursday of November), Labor Day (first Monday of September), and Halloween (Oct. 31) would all be good days for triple days.
The reason I put the dates is because most of these holidays are only observed in the US.
Deca balances the amount of event currency players can potentially earn with the event market and new dragons. If they allowed a Triple Day during other events, they’d have to recalculate the items in the market, the new limited dragon prices, the amount earned from mini games, Tolzar’s Optical Oracle, habitats, mini colosseum, event currency mechanisms (Eggy Hatchy, RBCs, etc), and NPCs. So it becomes complicated and more work. And as we all know, players will become extremely upset if the amounts they can earn from Tolzar, the mini games, mini colosseum, etc are lowered.

First off, I LOVE this dragon.
It really reminds me of the dragon I created a few months back, as it shares a bunch of similarities with this one, including the primary coloration, the head shape, and even its bio-a dragon said to be immensely hungry yet very playful at heart. The most major difference I see is a ball of yarn rather than a pearl necklace.
What I wrote for its bio was as follows:
Nobody knows where the Devourer Dragon originated, but it is widely agreed that the first sightings of this dragon coincided with the day of the Cataclysm. With a body seemingly consisting of an entire universe, wizards say that it is a harbinger of both destruction and balance, as all that was created must eventually come to an end. Legends say that this dragon is as old as time itself, and had devoured the last universe before our own, giving it the name wizards know. As a result, wizards, wizzlings and witches alike all fear the devourer dragon, as they think it has come to destroy them all.
In actuality, however, the Devourer Dragon is one of the most loving and playful dragons of all dragonkind, wanting to socialize with the wizards when it can. It loves to interact with the wizzlings by letting them slide down its huge neck and tail, giving both itself and the young ones the joy they need. The Devourer Dragon is also a loyal protector to the wizards and witches it likes, stepping out of its way to destroy anything that tries to harm them. Unfortunately, the devourer dragon is so terrifying that most wizards end up running away before the dragon has a chance to greet them, causing the devourer dragon to feel rather lonely at times. Poor thing...

I originally submitted it as a contest entry for the Galaxy Dragon contest that went on a while back. It went on to be the most liked dragon in the contest, though it wasn't a top winner by DECA.

Elkar has enjoyed his extra day in the vale and was pleased to meet Kotun. But now it is time for him to pack his pedestal and head back North where it is cooler. Elkar will be gone at the next reset.
