The animation is a little stiff due to the length of Kotun. It has a long, curvy body and tail, but there’s no movement.

The Rift trait is too subtle. Kotun is a nice deep purple, so the trait would’ve added wonderful highlights in the other swirling lines on its legs, wings, and tail. And it would not have taken away from the colour of Kotun or the subtle nature of the trait.

Huh?!? Nobody understands the price hike from Elkar to Kotun. It looks like some of the dragons’ release dates were switched, and someone forgot to change the prices.

Lokilure doesn’t make any sense, and players don’t appreciate evolve dragons in breeding combos. Having several evolve dragons in new combos is overkill.

1. Animation: 5/5 Kitty! My only gripe is I want him to bat the ball back with his tail. Nice cat movements.

Comments: This dragon checks all the boxes (except price). Just a really solid, sleek design. I love the way the baby hangs and the egg is pretty too. Given how difficult Lokilure is to get in the Rift though, I'd hoped to manage even one Kotun in 115 Rift breeds. Alas, I managed 0 (traited or otherwise). Runic claims to the rescue. Love my traited Kotun.

I saw that post on Reddit. It knocked Kotun out of a future Origin Contest. Kotun is definitely based on the Jólakötturinn, but that still doesn’t explain why cats are linked to Xmas and why the Jólakötturinn is a cat. 🐈⬛

I'm not sure I understand. Jólakötturinn is a cat associated with Christmas, so if Kotun is indeed based on Jólakötturinn, that answers your question.

Comments / feedback for Deca I’m really glad we have a dragon based on a cat now! The biscuit making is hilarious. Lol! I love the color of Kotun, but the forked tail doesn’t agree with me at all. It makes the tail look too big and Kotun unbalanced. A cat’s tail is its main feature, and this tail doesn’t look like a cat’s.
