Now I feel bad for encouraging my sister to buy the 3-rune stone package and activate 2, saving 1 for after the last limited starts. So she has 2 caves that she just paid for and activated but has useless dragons collected for, and she’s best not even using the cave she paid for. I’m in the same boat, but I bought mine yesterday, not 2 hours before the glitch.
Deca should, hopefully, be able to restore the Egg History so players can make their claims.
The caves that you activated with the Runestones, are they still active? Or did they deactivate with the bug? I’m curious, because this was an issue a while ago with a different bug.
All my caves are still active, including the ones I bought with a runestone, but the egg history was wiped out. The egg I collected before checking in here was the first egg. Now I’m not playing the caves while I wait on the bug to be fixed, so the countdown clock on the 7-day activation is counting down but I’m not using ithe cave I paid for. Sad for me because today I have more time to play than I will tomorrow or Thursday.

Is it now safe to play the game (without RBCs) and the bug won't occur if it hasn't already? I only logged in to one park so the other five are bug-free, but I don't want to log in if it's going to cause the bug to occur.
All of my RBC eggs in both parks, android and ios, have vanished! I'm probably not the only one. I sure hope DECA has a way to restore those same ones!

Sorry to keep asking questions. If we log in, is it pretty certain that the bug will be fixed at some point as long as we don't collect gifts/use the RBCs, and we'll get the claims back? I'd like to log in to do daily stuff but don't want to unnecessarily risk losing my claims permanently.

From what I understand, it looks like Deca will be able to fix the bug, but not quickly, like right now. They haven’t provided details about how long it will take. I can’t guarantee anything, because Deca has not specifically said they will definitely be able to fix the bug, and it will fixed within 'x' hours.

I waited until I was free to login today due to the bug, but it seems like it could be a while, so I will login anyway.
Besides, I don't have anything I really want to claim.
EDIT: Air Trait Snooz was one of the dragons the cave gave me. I have not claimed it from my gifts as I already used a claim on Snooz earlier in the event
Vale Security is feverishly at work attempting to locate the source of leaked intel about a new dragon that escaped from its handlers and is rumored to be hiding out in the Vale. Leaked diagrams appear to show a ghostly dragon of insectoid shape with possible names of Notagain, Rollback, Rueknick, and Bugjuice. Vale Security is determined to apprehend the Visitor or Visitors who posted the leaked dragon information on Vale social media.
The only reason I would use the caves is to breed a quick Plant, Fire and Lightning for a few hundred EC. But other than that, I would avoid using them for dragons you might actually want.
(Before the reset, I had been breeding two solarflares to maximize the EC gain)

We asked Deca if it is safe to use the RBCs, and the Deca DV Team said it’s best to not use them.

Luckily for me, I have plenty of EC stored up. The only major thing I'll be missing out on if I don't log in is etherium, and I don't mind missing out on that since all I spend it on is breeding. I have enough for two day's breeding stored up and earn almost double what I need daily. I'll probably wait till two or three hours before next reset to see if there's been an update, and if there hasn't, or the update is that they're still working on it, I'll log in. (If there's an update that the bug will no longer occur to people who haven't logged in before the next reset then I'll log in then).
Other than that, I just wanted to say thanks to DECA for getting on top of this so quickly! 😊

Me too. I clicked to finish an EBC breed before I knew about the glitch and wondered why I now had a Howl egg and no others in my list, but didn’t do it again. Then this morning, pre-coffee, I did it AGAIN. At least if I lost my hundreds of eggs already collected, I’ll have a rift Mesmerus. But I really wanted that rift Sweetheart. 😢

This is a big problem. Like others I have three claims that were used without my input and no egg history to be able go off of. I spend $13 like an idiot. I swear I will never do it again regardless. Any idea when is this getting fixed?

Unfortunately, there is always the chance that the RBCs will not have a fix by the end of the event, as there's only a couple weeks left anyway.
Until we know more about a possible fix and when it could be available, just try your best to refrain from using the RBCs and claiming the dragon eggs it gave you.

Luckily I had already claimed my rift twin Snooz and Fae. I'd have to pray I can get Lullaby, Prestige, Scarab and Starwing again with the time left.

We won't know until DECA posts an update. We just have to be patient.

Although I obviously don't know for certain, I imagine it will be the case that if it doesn't get fixed in time (which would surprise me), the solution will be to reach out to support to ask for the dragons you wanted to claim. I believe DECA can check game history so they would be able to see if you'd already bred that dragon.
It would be a complicated system, but looking at all the impatient replies to poor VibeLily's post on the subreddit, I get the feeling that they're going to lose players if something isn't done by the end of the event. But as I say, I'm sure there will be some sort of fix for egg history in the next two weeks, even if it's not perfect.
Especially given the ironic Runestone that's apparently been given as today's daily reward... 😂
