Please could baby Mesmerus be added to the avatars? (I'm surprised neither of its forms have been already!)
Quoting this because I don't know if it was missed. Apologies if it wasn't missed and you haven't got round to adding it yet - I don't mean to sound impatient! But since other messages have been posted since I don't know if it was missed. Thank you!
Baby and adult Mesmeruseseses have been added to the Forum’s avatars. I can’t wait to see one of them on your profile! They are amazing looking dragons and match the event so well.
What's this about a rift bug? I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary (except that Buttercup isn't showing up 😆) recently, what is the bug? Should I be worried?
I assume that you are referring to this post? There are posts on Reddit from a player that has managed to move items to the Rift that don't belong there.
Should you be worried? If you didn't know about it, it is unlikely that it will affect you. 😊

Oh. Well that wasn't worth getting worried about. 😂
It is a shame that they care more about fixing harmless fun bugs like this over actually annoying bugs though :/ Like, it's literally just placing cubes in the Rift. So? It's not something I'd do myself but it's just for fun, no one can unfairly get anything out of it.
It may seem like a harmless bug, but with any mobile game, it can lead to much larger problems like more bugs, crashes, and advantages for players that cause an imbalance in the game. It’s an exploit, and while it started with placing cubes in the Rift, in a matter of days players used the exploit to place habitats and untraited dragons in the Rift, which can increase a player’s ability to earn DC. The following day, there were videos on how to claim a pedestal and a dragon from the same Rift breed. This is a huge advantage for those who collect traited dragons and pedestals. And in the Vale, players could sell and hatch the same dragon. (BTW, the person who created the videos did an excellent job. I’m very impressed with their work. This is not their fault. They simply found a bug and made some videos about it.)
A lot of players were concerned about placing items in the Rift and the potential impact on their park. They wanted to know if Deca was okay with this. Players requested a statement from Deca. That's why Luflic posted the announcement. Normally, bugs don’t require an announcement, unless it’s affecting gameplay.
Deca isn’t trying to ruin the fun; they’re trying to preserve DragonVale. It’s their responsibility as the developer. We all love the idea of decorating the Rift. I thoroughly enjoyed the images that players shared of their new fancy Rifts. But the exploit needs to be patched.

I’m really glad DECA responded quickly to the bug. Even if it was only cubes and decorations in the Rift, they don’t belong there. The Rift wasn’t meant to support that, so it could cause problems. It’s very nice of DECA to give players a heads-up before the fix so they can remove the decos from the Rift. Most developers would not do this.

So they should slow down with events and fix the major bugs, but they refuse to.
This topic was already addressed on this thread during the last event. dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/post/244232 You are aware of the answer. You were here during the discussion, read the posts, and liked some of them. If you’re angry or upset with DECA for not fixing the bugs you want, please contact them.
Notifications for twins have been restored! I can’t believe it! I just received a twin notification from Inke. Thank you so very much for the twin, and the notification, Inke!
This is on iOS. I do not believe it has been fixed on Android, but I will inquire with Deca. Notifications for a new friend and the Colosseum were also missing on iOS. I’ll check if they’ve been enabled and update this post.

Yeah, YEAH, YEAH!
Yay! I have missed this. Thank you Deca for fixing this. Another bug bites the dust. 😊 🦟

Good evening! I’ve always loved the Magnetic dragon and I noticed that people can request a dragon to be added as a user icon, would it be possible to add one of the adult?

Will Deca bring back the Panlong Dragon for the lunar new year?
I did request Panlong several times, so hopefully he will be released for the Lunar New Year celebration.

Hi there, sorry to post out of the blue but I have a suggestion that the staff might like to consider - I think it would be great if there was a thread dedicated to important game info/updates that do not either get posted in the Deca announcements thread or added to the initial posts of the current event thread.
From what I have seen, most, if not all other threads where info like this is posted, also allow commenting (e.g bug thread, event thread, general thread), so important updates can get lost within the comments. I am not suggesting a thread where every single new thing to do with the game gets posted - just major things like:
Major bugs that are not common.
If something that has come to be expected has now been changed (e.g if Deca ever changed the day that the event ended or decided to remove/reduce/increase the two-day spending spree, though I would assume in these cases it would get posted on the Deca thread).
If a dragon’s elements or combo has been changed (though combo is more important since it affects gameplay more).
There is an update for the game in the App Store.
There is a new release that is not part of the current event and is not the newest Anniversary Dragon (as that release is expected, at an expected time).
Some things I am not suggesting get posted, but of course could be if the staff wanted: New dragons are released as part of an event (this is expected and also added to the initial posts of the event thread), info about common or minor bugs (e.g a sudden surge of ad crashes or if many people are finding the game suddenly takes longer to load, but are still able to get in eventually), or new features of the game if there is an in-game tutorial for them (e.g when Dragon Draw was released there was an obvious in-game tutorial for it).
Effectively: I am suggesting the thread is for anything that (1) is unexpected, (2) can have a noticeable effect on gameplay and (3) is not given an obvious notification in-game or posted about on the Deca thread/added to initial event thread posts. If the info is posted elsewhere on the site (e.g if info about a major bug is posted on the bug thread) there could just be a link to the other post rather than a whole new post, but the idea behind this suggestion is to have a place where all of these major game info posts are collected in some way or another. This will make it easier for people who just want to check whether there has been any game info since they last visited the site - if the thread were added they would only need to check the new thread, the Deca thread and the beginning of the current event thread to check for any important game info - and the crucial point being that they would not have to check through lots of other, unrelated comments to find it.

Thank you for your feedback. I did consider a thread like this, and that’s how General DragonVale came into existence. There aren't enough DV announcements to justify a thread and keep it active, so this thread also handles general queries about DV and avatar requests.
The problem with creating a DV announcements thread similar to Deca Announcements is that it increases crossposting. There’s already crossposting on the event thread and Bugs and Glitches when there’s an event bug that’s affecting a large number of players. And there is frequent crossposting with Deca Announcements and the event thread for other event-related topics. Having a DV announcements thread would require crossposting on three threads. That seems excessive and brings into question whether threads are overlapping and can be combined.
It is our policy that Forum admins and mods discuss and approve all new threads. As MinyaZ stated, they will review the idea and points you brought up. Thank you very much for your suggestion. Cheers!
