Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Updates: Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on. Please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utlilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on May 3rd. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.
Please take a minute to rate the Thawsome Spring dragons from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your feedback on this thread or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your thoughts, and making this game even better with each dragon.

1. Animation 4 It doesn’t do a whole lot, but what it does is good. It would feel out of place if its animation was very energetic so I’m glad it doesn’t do too much. Its leg does seem stiff when it reaches out to collect the light, though.
2. Rift trait 1 Err... what trait? (See my comment about the design details.)
3. Size (if you don’t own Solary, please check a friend’s park) 4 It’s big but at least it’s not huge and it makes sense being big since it represents the sun. It also doesn’t stand out too much in a light habitat so it doesn’t matter a whole lot that it’s big.
4. Price (14,200 Eggs) 1 Some people had to buy Bumi and Crackle because, y’know, evolution dragon in combo. Solary and Cherrie together cost almost 30k. That’s nearly 3k a day for the final 10 days, which isn’t even typical for me (someone who plays regularly throughout the day) at the beginning of an RBC event (which is when I get the most EC). For what it’s worth, it would be 5 if it wasn’t released at the same time as another dragon. But I don’t understand why you felt the need to release two dragons at the same time.
5. How well does Solary fit the theme of the event 5 This one’s pretty obvious (although you do have to read the description to see it).
6. Design details 3 Not a fan of the baby at all. Not sure why it needed to look so arrogant. Is it... wearing a scarf? Why is whatever it is bright red??? Since that’s basically the only bit that gets traited I am really tempted to think you only added that random red bit in as an excuse to put a trait there. The spider’s-web-like thing of the adult looks really out of place (and I don’t get why it’s there) and the green stands out. But I do really like the concept of the adult form's design ignoring those parts, so it gets some points.
7. How would you rate Solary’s breeding combo (fire + earth + air + light) 5 Obviously. Doesn’t completely make up for it being released alongside another dragon though.
8. How much do you like Solary (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 5 Love the combo, the cloning odds, and most of the adult version’s design. Really don’t get why it needed to be released at the same time as Cherrie but hey, in the long run, that’s not going to matter.
Comments: Please stop giving dragons the same incubation times as permanent dragons that can result from its combo. I like that you use hour/half-hour intervals but you are definitely not short of times to choose from. You could have done 19 hours or 21 hours or even 24 hours if you wanted an even number that goes nicely into a day (being a day itself), or even a short time like 6 hours! There’s nothing stopping you giving dragons (especially rare ones rather than epics) short incubation times. But 20 hours could be Wick, Whirlwind or Solary. What was the point? The original egg was much prettier in my opinion. Admittedly I'm biased against the new egg because it adds the random red bit that I don't like, but the original was still really cool. Even if you keep the egg like it currently is, if possible, like with Dapplethorn’s original egg I’d like to see Solary’s egg design (even if it gets changed somewhat) reused at some point. I miss it already

Comments / feedback for Deca: I think the dragon is beautiful and it would be perfect in a Sun habitat. I don’t care for the red scarf, especially on the baby. It looks like a beak on the baby, and in the adult, looks like hands holding the medallion. Also, I prefer the original egg. Don’t really like the red scarf on the egg either.

6. Design details: 3/5 Don’t really feel strongly for this dragon. That’s not because it was an extra tagged on, I kind of like surprises like that. Just didn’t really get it, and felt it was not fully fleshed out.
