Comments / feedback for Deca : I love Solary's wings. But he’s a bit on the large side. The bandana around Solary’s neck looks like a beak on the baby as it is so big and being red really makes it stand out. I like that the rift trait is only on the bandana. Great breeding combo, can’t get much better. Solary would look fantastic in a Sun habitat.
The trait is far too sparse. It seems rushed. Solary is basically yellow-gold. He could’ve used a little trait highlight in the tail, wings, and the sunlight spark that he eats.

While I like how Solary ties into the storyline of the tardy spring and ending the cold dark winter, he seems more like a summer dragon. After all, he was released on the cusp of summer.

Solary appears more flat and 2D than the other dragons in this event. He’s a paper doll compared to the polished Cherrie, Ancestor, Bumi, etc. Some of this may be due to his surprise, hurried release, but it looks like he didn’t get all the attention he deserves.

I like Solary, but there’s too many dragons in this event, especially since we just recovered from a Valentine’s event with nine new dragons. Now there’s another nine-dragon-event. I hope this isn’t the norm, but it isn’t looking very promising this year.

1. Animation: 5/5 Only the light holding is interesting. It feels a bit weird. Random photon? Alien life form?
2. Rift trait: 1/5 Mainly because of all the spots to put the trait, it was placed on one of the details I don't like. Changing his trait is like changing a scarf.
3. Size: 3/5 Too big given it isn't epic. It matches the size of my nearby Sun dragon. Which is awesome. Except it isn't epic. It doesn't match size-wise with any of the other dragons in my Light habitat.
4. Price (14,200 Eggs): 4/5 Glad you kept it low given it's an extra addition.
5. Theme: 5/5 I guess... based on the description. The dragon itself doesn't scream spring or thaw to me.
6. Design details: 3/5 He's a nice blocky dragon, but there are a number of design elements I question. What is that medallion on his chest and why is it angled so oddly? Why is the medallion attached by a scarf-like thing? It doesn't match the dragon at all. Why do his feet lack any detail? Nice wings though and the colour is very shiny! The baby looks pretty smug. Does he think he's better than me? The baby's mouth is so fine that on my phone it's hard not to see the scarf as a big pair of lips, or a beak. It's off-putting.

Comments: I'd like him a lot more without the scarf and medallion. While I wasn't a fan of the original egg because it looked a little religious, I really wish the new version wasn't half covered by the ugly red scarf. It really isn't the amazing accessory Solary thinks it is. The wing on the new one looks good, but it's hidden by the scarf. It doesn't feel like it belongs in the Celebration category either. I guess it celebrates the return of light? But it really just looks like a gilded Easter dragon to me. Maybe he's actually chocolate under all that shiny. Wait... WAIT - Lindt bunnies are golden with a red necklace and a bell. Hmmmmm
