DISCOVERYLEVELOF THE « SUMMERTHINGS MAGICAL » ISLAND DECORATION CONTEST
THE THEME « A MAGICAL PORTAL »
Before designating the DCO (Decoration Contest Organizer) Winner of the Discovery level, I would like to come back to each of the submissions, which all have magnificent qualities and why it was so difficult to choose the winner.
#1 A perfect combination of the Moon island theme with the blue, green, yellow and purple shades of the decorations. These form a beautifully lit alley on which visitors are invited to wander through the Magic Portal. The magical side of the nocturnal stroll is reinforced by the colorful party favors of the Orlon's Pavilion. A splendid composition with clerverly destructured symmetry!
#2 A stunning courtyard of Mrs. Murphy's School of Spellwork and Sorcery in a green and perfectly structured setting for the various courses of the students. Here, the magic portal is at the center of the composition opening on all areas that students have to visit to pass their exams : broom flight training, study of event dragons and of course, hard homework ! But relaxation is not forgotten with Pentournal Pagoda, Orlon's Pavilion and why not a flight in the Heated Air Balloon
#3 The Magic Portal is the heart of this very symmetrical and structured composition. I love the use of event decorations associated to the event pedestals gallery. The choice of the Walk Stars path and bright decorations in judicious to reinforce the magic summer night effect. The two animated Umbral structures look like two laughing eyes underlined by the smile drawn by the two Earthern Altars. See a human face or the round eyes of a bird as Hawk said is absolutely magic!
#4 What majestic alley in a contrasted green environment to access to Mrs. Murphy's School of Spellwork and Sorcery. While the Red Trees flanked by the Hudge Trees recall the wall of the school, the alternation of Yellow trees and green Small Trees highlighted by lighting and Purple Puff Plants matche the colors of the Orlon's Pavilions that frame the Magic Portal. This sumptuous entrance to Mrs. Murphy's School of sorcery, on a beautiful summer night , is enhanced by the use of paths grouped in blocks of 4 and arranged in a staggered pattern all along the driveway leading to the school.
#5 The blue, green and purple colors chosen to decorate this magic portal match beautifully with the Moon theme of the island. I like the skilfully destructured aspect of the rocks and cypresses placed here and there around the gate. It is splendidly highlighted by the carefully chosen lighting and decorations. Even the Butterfly Pavilion seems lit up! A delicate and airy composition with a magical effect.
#6 The portal is enhanced with purple bouquets, the dominant color of the composition. It opens onto the Fairy Tree which seems to be hiding in the crevice created by the two majestic staircases which frame it. The magic is reinforced by the Earthen Altar which recall the fireflies escaping from the Fairy Tree. A sumptuous entry point for a walk in a magical island in the heart of a summer night.
#7 A magnificent alley paved with stars lit by a thousand lights leads us to the fun fair where happy children can ride the Farry's Wheel, jump on the Bouncy Mushroom or take a flight in the Heated Air Ballon. The Red Trees skilfully recall the two side attractions while the Orlon's Pavilions impose the color code of the alley flanked by Lunatric Prisms and Twilight Vines. A majestic invitation to relax on a beautiful summer night.
#8 The composition sets out to highlight the Magic Portal with a skilful mix of luxurious paths. It gives us access to different worlds: The Umbral Structure and the Dark Remament open to the world of darkness, Light Vestige and the Astrolabe open to the world of Light and the Star Fall Monuments open to the Galaxy world. I like the reminders of the dragons event by the pedestals positioned at the entrance of each world. A majestic invitation to visit the different worlds of Dragonvale.
#9 Orlon's Pavilion provides the color code for this composition. A rich blend of yellow, green and purple. The stairs majestically framed by Lightning Crystals raise the Magic Portal which is the gateway to this lovely hanging garden where children play upside down in the Dragonbolt.
I Love all of them ! Thanks to all participants for their stunning and amazing Magic Portal !
DISCOVERYLEVELOF THE « SUMMERTHINGS MAGICAL » ISLAND DECORATION CONTEST
THE THEME « A MAGICAL PORTAL »
I have endeavored to study all aspects of the composition and its response to the problem of the theme "A Magical Portal" to be decorated in the enchanted and magical spirit of the current event "SUMMERTHINGS MAGICAL" . All opinions are subjective and if I could have all the participants would have won, but there could only be one!
The DCO WINNER IS :
I love the building magic that makes a face appear in this very structured, Magic Portal-centric composition that relies on the decorations and dragon pedestals related to the "SUMMERTHINGS MAGICAL" event.
