You’ve analysed and examined every aspect of each event dragon. Now, let us know which Summerthings Magical dragons put the book smarts in your heart and summer school in the Vale.
If you’re new to the polls or the Forum, here are some helpful tips:
1. You must be a member to vote. This is a restriction by ProBoards and cannot be altered. An account is required to keep track of votes and to prevent multiple votes by anonymous guests.
2. When you vote, it is automatically recorded. There’s no Submit button. Backing out or clicking away from the thread will not undo your selection.
3. If you accidentally vote for a dragon or warm up to another dragon later, you have until June 14th to change your vote.
4. The poll will close on Wednesday, June 14th at 11.00 PM MDT.
Also, in addition to the dragon ratings, I will include player feedback for the event. If you have any comments, suggestions, complaints, or compliments regarding the event structure, mechanisms, features, etc, please post it here, and I’ll pass it on.
Many thanks to everybody who participated — it is greatly appreciated by all!

EVENT FEEDBACK Requests Please can there be a note in the event gifts that there are not the same number of gifts as there are days in the event. I know there are ways to find out in-game, but there are a huge number of people who miss it every event, and think that the event ends on the day of the final event gift. I still haven’t completely figured out why the sun dragons were removed — Demuncher might be right that they’ll show up in the most likely desert-themed next event, but given there were required dragons that were removed, I wasn’t happy with the decision. Love and Rose should also have been available for Moonstruck. Even if they aren’t added to the event market, they need to be available to breed! Following on from this - especially given the event theme was the non-event one, which usually cycles between day and night, why was it fixed on day? This meant all dragons with night requirements were locked on cloning only unless the player bought the twilight tower, which was especially silly given the majority of dragons that required day were removed from the event! Please make Paper available to breed again. I know it’s an anniversary dragon but I hope this doesn’t end up like Cotton/Bilby in the spring event. If in future DECA introduces event-specific things like the Enchanted Forest, please can there be at least a brief tutorial. There are clearly varying opinions on whether there needs to be one, but the plain and simple fact of the matter is that it is far easier for people who don’t want tutorials to ignore them, than for people who want tutorials to figure out what’s going on if there isn’t a tutorial. Yes, info is online, but players shouldn’t be forced to look up everything. Please can DECA make it absolutely obvious that unbreedables are unbreedable. I can’t stress enough how many times I see people thinking that they can breed the unbreedable dragons. Yes, there are in-game ways of finding out, but none of them are obvious. When Ariesian was released I thought it being labelled as Not Available was a mistake, as it was very obviously in the event market. My suggestion is to have an availability section of the info box, as it wouldn’t be intrusive and would probably be relatively easy to add. The text could be ‘Permanent’ (e.g. Sandstorm), ‘Currently Cloning Only: Limited’ (for limited unbreedables e.g. Mushry), ‘Currently Cloning Only: Permanent’ (e.g. Ignaqtus), ‘Currently Available’ (e.g. Prestige), ‘Currently Unavailable’ (e.g. Hyperion), ‘Permanently Co-Op Only’ (e.g. Nova) — that one could just come under ‘Permanent’ since galaxies being Co-Op only is already made obvious in-game — or ‘Evolution Only’ (e.g. Umbra). Again, the info about unbreedables is available online, but not everyone who plays DragonVale knows that there is info online, let alone uses the online communities even if they know of them. Please don’t make permanent dragons so expensive. The lack of an hourglass does not make it clear enough that the dragons are permanent, so people will waste their EC on them. Either that or make limited/permanent status so undeniably obvious that people wouldn’t consider buying permanent dragons in the first place, e.g. the info box text I suggested above. I see so many people confused about limited/permanent status. It doesn’t hurt to have an obvious section in the info box and it would make everything so much easier. Please either add the monolith dragons to Morphimagus’ event or make other hidden-element dragon(s) available for Morphimagus, as well as those hidden dragons’ parent(s). This is the same problem as the Starwing line. If someone doesn’t already have a monolith dragon they can’t breed any of the hidden dragons from this event outside of using the Co-Op cave, so Morphimagus is impossible without spending EC. (Especially since it also requires Stella!) Please don’t make the new releases as expensive as they were this event. Especially if the new releases don’t have 10% cloning odds, although I appreciate that 6/7 did this event. I'm guessing the reason why they were expensive was because there were fewer, but that's because there was less time to earn EC. Although I don’t mind, lots of people on the subreddit have requested that DECA avoid using the flag bearers as the hidden visitors in events where there will be rainbow flag bearers, as they find it confusing. Please either keep habitats in the main market as well as the event market, or send players directly to the event market when they’re looking for habitats. At the moment if a player gets the ‘There are no habitats available for this dragon, go get more?’ pop-up they’re sent to the main market, which is pointless if the habitat is in the event. There were a huge number of posts asking where the moon/rainbow habitats were this event, and there are always posts about whatever habitat is currently in the event market. It needs to be incredibly obvious that that’s where they need to go to find them. I was somewhat glad to see that the majority of returning dragons cost less than 10k EC, though lots of them had their prices increased, probably to counteract the fact that the sun dragons were removed, but in this case the prices should have stayed the same (at the very worst) since the new releases’ prices were enough to counteract The Fate of (some of) the Sun Dragons. Plus, since dragons like Lageto were unbreedable for players without their required parent (Midday in Lageto’s case), the price increase really shouldn’t have happened.
Donation Boards specifically I think it would be cool if there was the option either to skip one/two board(s) per week, or up to X (maybe 5-10) boards per event. This would avoid players getting stuck with horrible Epic boards that they can’t complete (in one of my parks that has no Chrysalis dragons at all, a board required Trilobite, and I won’t bore you with my Co-Op Reliance spiel again), without giving them the ability to ‘cheese’ the donation boards by always skipping boards that aren’t just Poison, Plant, fire element, plant element. (I believe these boards have been dubbed Koala Boards and would like them named as such in-game 🤣) Please can the release for etherium option not be removed in future Donation Boards events. I will have lost between 55k and 65k etherium over the course of this event due to the release option being removed, and I don’t even use the Rift for donation boards which made it especially annoying in my case. Surely the pop up can be increased in size enough to make space for one more option?
Positives For me personally, the dragons ranged from okay to amazing to Ignaqtus. There weren’t any I particularly disliked. I don’t have any particular feelings towards Invento, Mushry or Professo, but I love the other four. The concept was absolutely awesome. I love the new decorations and dragons, especially Ignaqtus. Ignaqtus is an awesome dragon and probably my forever favourite. I love the pun on ‘aqua’ and ‘Ignatius’, even if I wish water had had more representation in the name. Thank you for adding the Lost Island of Oympus and the Olympus Reward habitat to the event market!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am hoping to see them both again in events some day, but either way I'm happy they appeared in this event. Just taking the prices solely from this event without comparing them to previous events, the prices of most of the dragons were reasonable (even though they shouldn't have been increased). Like last event, the theme of the event showing up in its dragons got better as time went on, even if a lot of the dragons from this event were description related. It was great how many dragons had 10% cloning odds — I guessed that the first limited would have 10% odds, but I thought the elemental combo would be the first limited. 6 out of 7 dragons from this event had 10% cloning odds which is simply awesome. I love that DECA’s filling in the golden hybrids — not just because it’ll be nice to see them completed, but also because it takes the strain off of events a little bit. And now, Ignaqtus has been introduced to the universe! (Have I mentioned that I really like that dragon? I don’t think I’ve made it obvious enough yet.) The idea of Tolzar helping dragons is cool — just please don’t overuse the concept, or it will stop being cool! And it would be great if Tolzar’s inventions actually helped, too 😉
Overall I did, all in all, like this event, but I’m a max level player who’s been playing for almost a decade in total, and in my current park for nearly two years, plays daily, and who understands an awful lot about how DV works and has over a hundred friends in my main park. It was a real shame some of the new releases and features, and some returning dragons, made it very difficult for/excluded newer players, in what could have otherwise been a really awesome event for them.
🔥💧IGNAQTUS FOR LIFE! 💧🔥

I know I complain a lot, but I hope DECA gets the message that Ignaqtus truly made my day (they probably will do). I love it to bits. It's getting a reference in the book with God Searca and Goddess Edis. I'm guessing that would have to be changed if it ever came to publishing (copyright and all that 😅😂), but I won't be publishing for forever since I'm a procrastinator, so it will be in the book for as long as it possibly can be.
If I were forced to vote a third dragon, it would be Construct, as I am a tad addicted to Tears of the Kingdom right now. I just cannot get the Zonai Constructs off my mind when seeing that dragon.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.

I am going to jump onto to some of these statements:
Firstly, although I understand why the Sun element dragons were removed at the start of the event, I will agree that the Sun Dragon and Midday Dragon should have been kept in the Event Market, as their removal rendered the Binky Dragon, Tranquil Dragon, and Lageto Dragon unbreedable for players who do not own the Sun-element parent.
Similarly with the Morphimagus and Stella Dragons, the Starwing Dragon should be added to the event market to allow new players to breed them. However, I do not think a Hidden/Monolith dragon would be necessary, as most players who played in the previous event would probably have gotten a hidden dragon.
To prevent an incident with Scribe next year, I agree with @metaphoricalrobin and say that the Paper Dragon should be available in following events.
As for permanent dragons, I think that they should be able to be bred as soon as they are released rather than having to either buy them with EC or wait out the event to breed them. I remember that when the Snowflake 7 dragon released, players were able to breed it during the event, which made it different than all other start-of-event releases. It was so beautiful... why not do that with the other permanents? At the very least, make the dragons cheaper; perhaps half as much as they have been.
I am completely on board with the skip donation board option, although I would rather it be once per week to keep it from being too game-breaking. Especially because boards often take a long time to expire.
As for the Release button, I would not count on that changing, as five buttons on one screen would be quite crammed. You could replace the Sell button with Release during times where the board is active, although that could take quite a bit of work to implement.
Olympus Reward habitats were the best readdition this event - and with a cap increase... I certainly took advantage of that! I also enjoyed the cap increase on the Celestial/Meridiem habitats, and especially the Dark/Light Reward habitats.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.

I added the comment about Starwing in Margento's thread, hence why I didn't repeat it here. Going by the monolith/hidden logic, Starwing isn't necessary either, because players might have bought it in the previous event, but that isn't a reason to not have required dragons in the event that they're required. People will have started playing during this event and as such have had no chance to get the dragons. People who had only played during one or two Spring events might not have bought Starwing or a monolith/hidden element dragon (of course, that's also the case for any length of time playing, though obviously more likely the less time someone has been playing). My issue with these kinds of combos is that it ignores the fact that some people will have started playing recently and will effectively have no chance of getting the dragon from breeding alone.
As for boards taking a while to expire, that's the very reason why a skip board option would be useful. Newer players might get an epic board that they pretty much have no hope of completing, and be stuck on that for 3-5+ days. A skip board option would mean they would be able to actually get donation board EC for those three days when otherwise they wouldn't have done. Although I will add that there might need to be something that means you can only skip a board you haven't completed anything from.
I imagine the hatch egg pop-up could be increased in width, so icon size wouldn't be an issue in that case. I don't know for sure though since I know that the code used for DV can sometimes make it harder to change things like that.
I went with Construct (surprise!), Scribe and Mushry. To me, these were the most creative additions. Visually, I admire Ignaqtus. She's beautiful. Her lack of interesting animations and the fact that to me she looks more like fire/cold, brought her points down some. I also really like Professo. He's a cute little dude. Third place for me was really a tie between Professo and Mushry. It was a hard choice and like I said, I went with the creativity of Mushry -his animations, his candy-like appearance and his description all worked in his favour.
Overall I enjoyed this event a lot. I wasn't too bothered by the removal of the Sun element dragons since I have everything. I'm more confused how they even made it into the event line up at all and why Lageto and Lightmatter weren't pulled too (since the list would have been approved and it looks like we're maybe getting a Sun event next). I suspect we'll see Midday and Pharaoh in the next event. What would be lovely, is if Lageto and Lightmatter, being Sun dragons, also returned in the next event and people had another shot at them. Unfortunately, I could see Prism being left out because it was just available in this event.
Donation Boards - I like the idea of having a few skips available through the event. Waiting 3 days for an epic board to count down in a park that hadn't finished more than one board up to then was not appreciated. That park didn't need cool down time. Or, if Deca feels cool downs are required... instead of allowing 5 boards/day, lower the number that can be completed daily and remove the epic boards/ghostly dragons/rift exculsives entirely.
What was very much appreciated this event was the offset to the donation boards - the high earning rate from the visitors! I spent a lot of time looking for them as a result.
The dragons this event, for the most part, felt very fresh and fun. I was happy to see the descriptions were more event/theme-centric. Beautiful work, Deca! They were also all reasonably priced, in my opinion, and that felt really good from a playing perspective.
I want to make special mention of the enchanted forest. Deca gets flack sometimes for not doing new and different stuff and making events clones of each other. I know the forest is a teeny tiny change, but I thought it was a fun thing to do. I actually waited to strip my land of resources because the trees were so pretty. I would absolutely buy those trees if they made it into the market someday (hint hint).
Also a huge THANK YOU for bringing back the Olympus island and the Olympus Reward Habitats AND for increasing the caps on the reward habitats. I don't know where all my new habitats are going to go, but I'm going to get them regardless.
Nice eggs this event. Really liked them all! I'm running out of room for pedestals though. I hope Deca is considering the idea of creating special pedestal storage. Generally I love seeing the epics and rares, but I just don't have room to keep the regular, twin and rift versions of each out in view. They wind up in places they don't fit thematically, or take over the spaces I wanted for habitats (or decos). Either that, or we need more islands added during expansion extravaganzas.
And lastly, I just want to thank everybody involved in last year's move to limit Aurora fails. It made my gameplay so much more enjoyable again this year. THANK YOU!
----- On a separate note, another huge THANKS to the forum team and adlerist for their incredible dedication. This is such a nice, laid back space and I really enjoy coming here.
i voted for Scribe and Professo because they fit perfectly for this event. My third choice was difficult but i went with Invento because after watching him in my park, i saw him as a Gentle Giant that played well with others and learned to swim without those air-filled plastic water wings.
There were some great dragons released this event with mostly very fair prices and breeding combos.
Thank you for keeping the price of the limited dragons so reasonable – overall the pricing is very similar to previous events but it is nice not to have a big jump in price from one limited dragon to the next.
It is great to see that the Golden Hybrid dragons are another dragon closer to completion with the release of Ignaqtus. I like them being included in an event as with it becoming available to breed at the conclusion of the event, it is only two dragons that I have to add to my ‘never been breedable’ list.
I enjoyed the mystery of Mrs Murphy’s School of Spellwork and Sorcery decoration. Some players were very confused by it, so perhaps there needs to be more of an explanation or walk through when something new is released.
Donation boards are always a challenge during an event when we’re trying to obtain extra magic as well as breed the new dragons. Thank you for creating some easier donation boards. I hope it wasn’t only my parks, but I appreciated not having as many boards requiring epic dragons, ghostly dragons and rift exclusive dragons as I have received in previous events with donation boards.
The egg designs were fabulous. I especially loved Mushry’s egg with the vibrant colours.
Thank you for re-releasing the Lost Island of Olympus, Olympus Reward Habitat and some of the Olympus themed decorations during the event. It has been a long time since they have been available in an event. The new Olympus Island Theme is amazing. I now have more island themes than I have islands, could we get some more islands to put our themes on please? 😊
Thank you for the twin weekend during the event. Twin weekends are always a lot of fun and we would like to see them on a regular basis. 😊

I voted Construct, Ignaqtus and Professo! Overall this event had pretty solid designs
- Construct has fantastic animations and a fantastic design overall - Ignaqtus also has a fantastic design - Professo was such a fitting design for this event, also has great animations

really cool event! love new school. event not long good # of dragons. 6-7 new dragons is good. more is to much! construct is my fave. but all dragons great!
I like all the new dragons, which are beautifully designed, eggs included. My favorites are Construct, Margento, and Ignaqtus.
I like the theme of this event, and the new decos that go with it. I like the creative way of clearing the enchanted forest for a new decoration. Understandably, some players were a bit confused, so maybe in future, a little more obvious tutorial would help. (It was kind of “hidden” in the goals)
Thank you for adding all the habitats. I used most of my EC to stock up on them. Interestingly, I was able to breed all the limiteds, with traited versions, but unable to clone most of the non-breedables, even with a 10% social clone rate. I did not have a chance to gather a lot of EC during this event (had been busy with other RL projects), but had enough to max out on the reward habitats (olympus, dark, and light), and then some leftover to buy the non-breedable dragons that I lack.
Donation boards are always challenging. I made full use of the rift during the first week, but when the limiteds came out, I had to devote the rift for them. Although I have a lot of twins in my gift list, sometimes it was frustrating that they are never the ones that were needed. I would vote for the idea that we are given the choice of skipping a board or two, perhaps once a day?
For a game that is practically free, Deca has put a lot of thought and effort into making it fun and interesting. I am not a die hard player, only aiming for red fire, and I only spend real money on the RBCs, and so far, I am pretty happy with the game.
Thank you to adlerist, MinyaZ, and all the admins and mods for providing endless resources, strategies, and fun activities. Thank you to @ney for organizing the decoration contests..🤩.. And thank you to the forum community. I very much enjoy your humor, comments, and ideas. Until the next event! 👏👏
My favourites are Professo, Scribe, Ignaqtus, with Construct a very close 4th.
Thanks to Drca for another wonderful event, a great array of new dragons, relatively doable donation boards and a novel, unexpected way to acquire a new decoration. As always, a big thank you to the forum team for adding so much to our DragonVale experience and for the good humour and sage advice.
