For the record I really like my Quaa dragon even though I make endless fun of it. The Quaa is hapless, hopeless, helpless, and mostly harmless (except for the racket it makes). I especially enjoy watching the Quaa getting grilled during Colosseum Fire Events.
Just an idea: could the new Sandstorm weather be modified to apply to just one island instead of the entire park? We now have rain, snow, and autumn leaves that can be applied to just one island. Why not a sandstorm for desert themed islands? I don’t particularly want to have dust blowing in my eyes when visiting a snow and ice covered island. But a sandstorm would be perfect for a desert island. Deca nailed it with Eerie Fog. Can they do it with sand?
As of currently, the only weather in which the generators are for the three you already mentioned. However, I have a feeling that eventually, there might be a generator for each type of weather. And, as each gives a 2% element boost to dragons in its effect radius (similarly to how boosts work in Dragon city), here's what I anticipate for each:
Autumn (aka Leaves) - already exists; Air boost
Bats - Dark Element
Blossoms - Plant Element
Butterflies - Chrysalis Element
Confetti - Metal Element as nothing is more fitting
Dandelions - Plant Element or Air Element
Ghosts - Apocalypse Element or Dark Element
Fireflies - Fire Element
Glare - Light Element
Clear/None - Air Element
Rain - Already exists; Water element
Rainbows - Rainbow element (duh)
Sandstorm - Earth Element
Snow - Already Exists; Cold Element
Starfall - Galaxy Element (if applicable) or Zodiac Element
Storm - Lightning Element

I've gotten three non-traited Sarahus dragons in the rift so far without being able to get a traited one. I think that is a new record for me with a limited release. There is nothing worse than trying for an Eldritch for two weeks, only to get one without a trait. My biggest complaint with this game is all the wasted breeds in the rift with not having the option to select either traited or non-traited. I am sure something along these lines has been requested numerous times. Is it that involved of a feature to add?
Ouch! Saharus isn't the easiest dragon to breed and to get three non-traited must be incredibly frustrating. 😤
It is a common complaint about the rift that it gives non-traited dragons - and it is always the dragon that you want the most! Having the option to select traited or non-traited would be the dream and has been requested many times. 🙂
In the meantime, it sounds like you need the koala maintenance crew to replace, tweak, tighten or loosen something in your rift. 🛠
Not sure it was already mentioned, I just realized that in the lower part of the event island there are Asterix's helmet and Obelix's pants... But I can't get the reference and how it is tied with a desert-themed event.

I like the idea of a Sandstorm Generator. I’ll mention it to Deca. It’s a wonderful idea for a weather, especially for a desert theme. It just didn’t work covering the entire Vale.

Untraited dragons are a special problem that requires saws, sledgehammers, paint, and lots of logs!

Honestly I am kind of glad that my park was manually set to Fireflies, since when I tried to turn on the sandstorm weather as I was curious to see how it looked, my park lagged out for ten minutes. That was fun.
For obvious reasons, I reverted it back to Fireflies as soon as I could, as the Sandstorm weather just caused lots of lagging issues.
The new Oasis deco is not playing well with other decos in certain situations like the one shown in the photo After a long day outside in the intense desert heat playing in quicksand and grappling with Greedy Spoils treasure chests, Visitors spending the night at the island’s DragInn hotel should not have to worry about drowning in bed.

Absolutely no koalas helping me lately. Been trying nonstop for two events to get Loot in the rift with no luck. Ended up buying Saharus after two long fails just clogged up my breeding areas. I hope I have better odds with the other limiteds.
