Absolutely no koalas helping me lately. Been trying nonstop for two events to get Loot in the rift with no luck. Ended up buying Saharus after two long fails just clogged up my breeding areas. I hope I have better odds with the other limiteds.
This is similar to my experience last year trying to breed a traited Tidal dragon in the Rift and failing miserably. I finally got my traited Tidal without any difficulty in an event that featured Runic Breeding Caves. Pick up a traited Loot dragon in a future event that features the Runic caves and try for a different dragon now in the Rift. It’s a shame to waste so many breeding attempts in a broken breeding cave.

The Rift Breeding Cave isn’t broken. It’s no more broken than any other breeding cave. Loot has a 1% breeding chance in the Vale and Rift. That's some pretty poor odds. Players either got lucky and bred it, or they struggled to breed it, or they obtained it from a mystery egg, RBC, wish, etc, or they bought it.

The journey through the mountains was long and lonely, so Mantasu was surprised to see Veezir bounding towards him across the desert floor. By the time Veezir reached the dragon, he was out of breath and could not speak. So the dragon began, 'I am Mantasu. I travel each midsummer to find a home. But it has been 1,127 years, and I have not found a land to call my own.' Veezir looked down, 'I am sorry, few will consider the desert a refuge. The sun and weather are no comfort; it is relentless. The air is brazen and feverish like fire. It burns the eyes and dries the soul.' Mantasu smiled for the first time in 1,127 years.
Mantasu is in the co-op making himself at home. Koala-mantasu to all!

I believe Mantasu was breedable; he was showing in the Dragonarium. He just wasn’t in the event market.

Summer vacation is in full swing, and the hot attraction is the Eighth Wonder of the World — the Sandara Pyramids. Nobody knows how they were built, but it’s widely speculated that Dunes Magic was involved. So slather on the sunscreen, fly over several dimensions, and across an alternate timeline to witness the grand Pyramids, or simply rate all the Dunes of Magic dragons before the event concludes and the Pyramids will be on your profile forevermore.
Since we have completed two full years of Rate a Dragon, there are now two previous summer awards to offer. Instead of the Sandara Pyramids, you can choose a Barrel of Ikatako from last year’s Pirates in Paradise II, or the Jolly Roger Dragon from Pirates in Paradise. When you’re done rating the Dunes of Magic dragons, message me, and Barrel of Ikatako or Jolly Roger Dragon will be added to your profile instead.

Getting very tired of getting one long fail after the other. Takes a lot of the pleasure out of the game. Maybe DECA can include some dragons that don’t involve Rainbow, Olympus and others with long timers in breeding combos. 😣😣😣

Unfortunately, the Treasure dragons have really long fails so the Paradise events always seem more difficult. At least Mantasu’s breeding combo is elements only. The metal element does have long fails, but some players want more dragons with metal since it’s underused.

Don't worry, I know a buddy called the Oasian Dragon. He can supply you with a cool pool so you can beat the heat. Just be a little patient as he tends to run slow with all that water on his back. (water weighs 8 pounds per gallon, so imagine how heavy he is!)
