Across the Drag Marsh and beyond the mountain range lies the large vast lands of the Sandara Desert. The wizard Veezir watches over the aridness but rarely sees any new life. He often wonders if anyone will brave his world and explore the unforgiving dusty landscape. While lost in his thoughts, SAHARUS appeared from under the sand and startled Veezir. 'Veezir, something has crossed the mountains. It is descending on Sandara!' In the desert distance, Veezir could see a figure slowly moving down the mountain. It was impossible to tell if it was angry or curious. 'It will be here soon,' said Veezir. 'We shall be prepared. Saharus, what would I do without you? You are the eyes and ears of the desert. You are the desert.'
Saharus is in the co-op making sandcastles in the sandbox. Koala sand to all!
Breeding percentages: breeding hint 4.05%; co-op clone 1.5%
Cloning dragons:
Elders • plant, fire, earth, metal, light
Hybrids • Poison, Flower, Forest

Due to a potential limit on the number of friends a player can have before issues arise in the game, I will only be able to add Forum members. Thank you, for your understanding, and please consider joining us!
It's reset time in Thursday and I don't see the limited yet. Is there a delay?
Deca fixed it. Saharus is in the Vale now.

Overall I do really enjoy this dragon's design. The only issue is, there is a bit too much dust, which obviously not only makes parts hard to see, but also makes it seem like there is too much going on.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.

I have a couple of extra Monte's Mohawks, which are currently available at the Beacon of the Sun for 1690 Spice. I thought I might sell them to get some extra Spice, but it looks like they for 50,000 DC instead of Spice. Was I wrong to expect that, or do you suppose it's a mistake on DECA's part?
Oh, and while I'm here, I should show my gratitude for being able to clone a Saharus in the Co-op cave using my Level 20 Poison dragon on the first attempt! Not bad considering the 1.5% chance! I'll send the koalas along to the next park who needs them while assuring them that they will always be welcomed with open arms whenever they feel like stopping by here.

Yes, that map comes from the Backflip era. It’s wonderfully done! I love all the lore references within the game. I’m also an editor for the document. There’s a surprising amount of lore the devs have been able to squeeze in here! So many possibilities.

This might not be the most relevant thread but it's more likely to be seen here. Apparently (probably during maintenance) there were a bunch of goals added to the goals book. Some quests I've noticed so far are getting 200 DC from a small plant habitat, buying a small earth habitat, and getting 10 trophies at the Colosseum.
Depending on how far people are in the game and whether they use habitats more for aesthetics or practicality, it seems like there are some goals that most people won't just happen to do accidentally, and some give good rewards - for example that earth habitat quest gives a gem.
Like I say, this isn't related to the event, but definitely worth noting, and this is the thread where most people are going to see it. (The only other thread I can think of is General DragonVale but there are definitely more people who check this thread.)
EDIT: At least one of the quests is about clearing obstacles, so I hope the people who have all islands haven't finished clearing everything yet... 🤞🐨

The goals were reset during Maintenance Mode 😄. So you’ll be getting a lot of pop-ups for minor tasks like collecting from Plant habitats, racing at the Dragon Track, buying a small habitat, growing Blushrooms, etc. If you want to know which tasks have been reactivated, click on the Goals tab.

Do you mean 'reset' as in, they were there before, got completed, and are now back again? Because I'm 99.999% sure they are completely new. I've never seen those icons or quests in my small parks, none of which will have completed most of those quests since I don't bother developing them.
Edit: to clarify, the plant collection reward is for small plant habitats specifically. The reason why I commented, as mentioned before, was because there are quests there that include activities that some people might not be doing naturally. I would never have built small versions of habitats from now on unless I'd noticed those quests. Yes, I am aware that some people will use small habitats. Another example is Blushrooms - these typically aren't listed among "most useful treats to grow" so some people might not be using the already. Which is why the notice about the new quests is useful.

The Bright Wild Nights Spellforms do not sell for event currency. They’re too expensive, so selling them would result in a lot of EC. They’re different from the other enhancement pieces because they’re one piece. Players do not have to collect various costume parts. As a result, they cost more and are worth more. If evolve decos and enhancement pieces sell for 10,000 DC / 50 EC, then BWN Spellforms would sell for 50,000 DC / 250 EC. 250 is a lot, so Backflip (and now Deca) do not allow the EC exchange.

I've never seen that map before! Is it new? I love it! Thanks for sharing!
Hold on.... the new limited is 14,400 spice? Nooooooo!!!
Is anyone else annoyed that the Scarab dragon isn't under the Scarab heading in the market? HOW COULD THEY?
To give you a little DV history, the DragonVale Lore Map (that’s what Backflip called it) was first posted in 2015 during a live Ask Me Anything event. A player asked Backflip if they had a map of the Vale. They said it’s not a complete map, and they can’t guarantee the provenance, 'but we did find this in one of the Wizard's Huts at Backflip Studios'.
I’ve always loved this map. It could be a wonderful inspiration for a DV fanfic, and I definitely use it to write the new dragon announcements every week. The map also inspired the DV Geographic Guide by OboeKade.
Years ago, when I first started to update the Forum's theme, I tried to use the map as the Forum's background image. It didn’t quite work out, but perhaps I’ll attempt it again with some filters.
Hopefully, the DragonVale Lore Map will inspire other players as well. Here’s the full version without any circles and not shrunken down.

A pity that the game cannot be connected to Facebook for we'll get 1 gem each time we completed a goal if shared it on the website...

I think my koalas mistook this event for a beach vacation and buried each other in the sand. I love everything about this event, but I cannot clone anything. Not one single dragon.
I know it's still early in the event, but I'm making this my official whine post for anything at all that the koalas want to send me. Just please get your furry little heads out of the sand asap.
I think that my rift cave is broken and I would like to request a maintenance koala to stop by and reset it please.
I've been trying to breed a traited Valeodon all week. Have cloned/bred at least 6 Zilla dragons - 1 had a trait! This morning I finally bred my first Valeodon - without a trait! 😑
I was trying for traited Zilla and then Valeodon since DW, got a few Zillas, and finally got the traited Valeodon last week after the new event started. Now I am trying for traited Ahoy. Got two untraited! Waiting patiently for the maintenance crew..🍷🍷
Something is definitely amiss. The koala-fied maintenance mechanics have been sent to your parks for koala-ty control.

Mrs Murphy is sending over Mr Fracas, the school’s Maintenance Engineer, to see if he can help the koalas. 🧰🔧🔨🪛🧨
Thank you so much for sending the maintenance crew. I finally bred a traited Valeodon. 😊
I wish I'd thought to ask for the maintenance crew during Dragons Week.
The maintenance crew have been fed and rested and are now on their way to ladyj 's park. 😊

This map is amazing. So many dragons reference their origins in their descriptions. It is interesting to see where in the Vale they live. 😊
He's very cute and the adult doesn't look a lot different from the baby. He has kept his big head and big eyes.
