Are giant sun habitats supposed to be more expensive than rainbow habitats? It costs only 2000 EC to upgrade a large rainbow habitat into a giant one, but it costs the full 3000 to upgrade a large sun habitat to giant. Is it because sun habitats hold more dragons than rainbow?

I imagine the 2k EC price to upgrade rainbow habitats is a bug, if the market price is 3k.
PSA: DragonVale version 4.28.3 is now available It includes updates for tomorrow’s Maintenance Mode
Since DragonVale has never been in Maintenance Mode, a new version has been released. Deca has assured us that the previous version should be fine, but to be on the safe side, players should update.
I will make sure tp update my game tonight.
Unfortunately, I was going on a small road trip tommorow morning, from about 8am til 10am EST - which is unironically the same time as maintenance. Bah-humbug, guess I will have to play a good game of Yo-Kai Watch instead.
The good news is that I will be able to cap out on my EC gain tonight - the only Spice I miss due to maintenance would be the 50 EC from the Colosseum.
Whenever they do it, there will be people who can't play. I'll be missing out on three hours when I'd normally be playing. But as you mentioned originally, it's really not that much EC we're going to be missing out on. If it was a longer time I'd understand the frustration, but it's only estimated to be three hours - even if it takes longer I don't imagine it'll take too much longer than three hours. I wouldn't even be getting 100 EC in that time, even on a double day.
Between trial of sands, coliseum, overnight breeds, and food it will easily be 100 for me, all things I cannot do beforehand. I just would’ve appreciated not on the double day. But I guess sometimes they are not in control of maintenance scheduling.
Since it’s a Double Day, you can plant breed 100 Spice in three minutes to compensate for the loss. 😊

I am curious to ask: Is the oasis decoration affiliated with the Oasian Dragon, or is it just there for the desert to feel complete?
I don’t believe it’s affiliated. Affiliated decos are usually noted in the data. The deco will be named after the dragon. The Oasis deco is just called 'oasis_deco'.

I think my koalas mistook this event for a beach vacation and buried each other in the sand. I love everything about this event, but I cannot clone anything. Not one single dragon.
I know it's still early in the event, but I'm making this my official whine post for anything at all that the koalas want to send me. Just please get your furry little heads out of the sand asap.

Tryna decorate my treasure island but I'm not sure what decos to use. I've got Shen and only treasure habs on it and I wish there were gem trees that matched the gems on the treasure island theme 😆 Love all the new decos in this event but I wish there were more for treasure like the gold pile.

I've been trying to breed a traited Valeodon all week. Have cloned/bred at least 6 Zilla dragons - 1 had a trait! This morning I finally bred my first Valeodon - without a trait! 😑

You gotta love rift unrifted dragons. Oftentimes, my first one is unrifted, so it is always tedious to breed for a specific dragon in the Rift.

Not only did I manage to sneak in during maintenance and do my activities before the doubles day ended, but the maintenance koalas were running around and helped me out on my co-op breed I started while I was there and the icon trick shows a Nubis breeding.
Always nice to know DECA is focused on Quaality Control.
