Knowing that your Deca artists are very capable of making a good version of a Contest Winning Dragon i am shocked at how far Nubis is from Jackal. AGAIN i ask why???

i am not an artist but i KNOW good work when i see it vs poor execution. i wonder if not enough time and pressure to produce plays a part.
i think Nubis/Jackal is a central figure for an event named "Dunes of Magic" and i am disappointed in what was presented.

This literally took me an hour to do. It has been toned down a lot from the first version. Please let me know if i need to tone it down even more. Eileen

The animation in the Dragonarium (which is where I record the video of the animation for players to rate) is missing the absolute highlight of Nubis’ animation — the spectacular sun rays that emit everywhere. Why was it omitted?? In a habitat or breeding cave, Nubis’ sun animation vibrates and takes over the Vale. It gives character and meaning and links Nubis to his backstory. It is hands down the greatest part of the animation. You added Margento’s fireworks-like display in the Dragonarium animation, so this seems like a huge oversight.

Nubis could not fit the theme better. It's like this event was made for Nubis.

The legs are a bit odd, like the joints are backwards. The front legs look okay when they’re crossed. But uncrossed it appears unnatural and jarring, so there’s an overall stiffness to the design and animation.

Deep congratulations to hawk for the Jackal Dragon! Jackal was such a smashing success on Reddit, he was a shoo-in for an Egyptian desert event. It would’ve been a travesty if it was omitted, so thank you for including it!

Nubis’ colours are stunning. The cobalt blue and shiny gold are perfect and lets the dragon pop. However, Jackal’s design is far superior. Nubis loses the original head shape and eyes of the adult and baby. The fennec fox influence is gone. I know Deca changes the player-designed dragons a little to make it their own, but sometimes, and definitely with Nubis, the changes remove the most appealing parts of the original dragon. Still, Nubis is a beauty in the Vale, and baby Nubis is so adorable with its button nose, I could cry.

I love the original design, but I feel like DECA took away or changed up some of the features that I liked the most, such as the wings and the body shape. To me, the in-game design doesn't look as "expensive."

Comments / feedback for Deca - I really like Hawk’s version of the Jackal Dragon. Nubis isn’t quite as good but I’m really glad the color scheme stayed the same.

This is the most stunning dragon in the event! The blue is wow! And the gold complements it perfectly. The legs are little weird. They just dangle like a doll’s legs. But the wings really stand out and I like sun flare attached to the dragon. It’s unusual, and it works. I wish we had Nubis sunbathing in the animation like Hawk drew in the contest submission for Jackal. Congratulations, Hawk!
