After taking a two day break, I will say that Nacre is beautiful.
Also, it should have been a gemstone dragon.
We already have a Pearl gemstone dragon though 😆
Though I do admit, an anniversary gemstone would be cool. (I do think it would have to earn more gems though, since it would most likely only be available for two weeks every year.)
With the dragon's appearance, it would make more sense for it to evolvefrom a Pearl Dragon.
It would also make sense for Pearl to be a parent, although that isn't an option as it cannot breed. Unless Shimmering Solstice ever returns, which it probably won't.

This evening I tried for Nacre with adlerist in co-op and got it on my first try. Then I switched things around and tried for Lambovian in co-op with MinyaZ. Got that on my first try as well.
Apparently my koalas finally woke up and realized they had work to do. Super happy about that, because I know the Halloween event is coming soon and I'll definitely need my koalas for my favorite event. I just hope they didn't wear themselves out after that. Haven't had that kind of good fortune since they first introduced Razzle and Dazzle and I managed to breed both of them. 🐨🐨🍀🍀🍀🐨🐨

Why, why, why does Deca taunt us by releasing dragons that have the same timer as three other available dragons? I had 9H 36M in both caves this morning. Hopes were high that I had finally bred a Nacre. Checked the icon trick only to have my hopes dashed. No Nacre yet.

Seems like that happens a lot nowadays. I think it's inevitable really. When you have so many dragons available, a few of them are bound to have a similar timer.

The breeding time had to be 12 hours to match the anniversary. And unfortunately, 12 hours is a popular breeding time for hybrids. But this should be less of a problem next year. 🥳
At least we can use the profile trick and check if a new dragon has been bred before completing the breed. Remember in the old days when we had to wait out the breed or speed it up with gems? Yeesh. Thank goodness we’re now living in the technologically advanced 2023.

I’m not sure where I was reading it, here or Discord, but someone was joking about your park being a twin magnet. I chuckled a bit since I see these posts you write and figured more people breeding with your co-op dragon means the chance of koalas popping in for a visit is higher and left it at that. Then yesterday, after doing three days of extensive Rift breeding for Nacre and a few Vale speed ups to no avail, I decided to switch my co-op attempts over to your dragon and wouldn’t you know, not only did I score a Nacre dragon, but she’s a TWIN. Lol. Thanks for sharing your koalas! Give them a scritch behind the ears from me.
Oh, and I’m also pleased to say I’m the happy caretaker of a lightning traited Gravity dragon! It isn’t dupe protected eoms, but it’s something!

I believe it was samiam who made the twin magnet comment. It’s been said before on the Forum, and I know Tor was twinning the new dragons nonstop with my park last year, so maybe it was mentioned on Discord. But I always think it's the players who breed with my co-op dragons who are the lucky ones. I'm only a lucky recipient of their twinning skills. 💙💙

If you’re wondering which dragons to purchase, MinyaZ has put together a list of the best dragons to buy (required in locked breeding combos), and the items in the event market that have the best Star Dust to DC exchange rate to maximise your DC earnings.
The Rate a Dragon deadline has been extended to Friday, September 22nd. If you need more time to rate the dragons, please message me. The poll to vote for your favourite event dragons also closes on September 22nd.
And the Milestone Dragon Contest is still going strong! You have until September 21st to provide your best guesses for the name and elements of the 800th dragon.
