The Milestone Dragon Contest
DragonVale has celebrated every 100th dragon and each anniversary with a commemorative dragon. The anniversary dragons are usually inspired by traditional wedding gifts (e.g., paper is the gift for the first anniversary, and the Paper Dragon was released on DV’s first anniversary). For the 100th dragons, sometimes the dragon is associated with the number (e.g., Century was the 100th dragon, Bicentennial was the 200th dragon, and Fates (three dragons in one) was the 300th dragon). But sometimes, there isn’t an obvious correlation to the number (e.g., Combustion was the 600th, and Hyperion was the 700th).
Can you guess the name of the 800th dragon? Can you guess its elements? For players who enter the contest by 13 September there’s also a bonus question — guess the name of DragonVale’s 12th anniversary dragon.
PRIZES
The three contestants who receive the most points by answering the contest questions correctly will be declared the inaugural winners of the Milestone Dragon Contest! All winners will receive the following:
• 60 gems (30 gems will be gifted by staff members adlerist, Bloodstone, ladyj, MinyaZ, OboeKade, samiam, and Worms. Deca Games has generously matched the prize with an additional 30 gems! Thank you so much, Deca!)
• A temporary badge with a splash of refreshing water from a water balloon hitting your mini-profile (the badge will remain for seven days and help you recover from the hot summer in the Vale)
• An animated background of celebratory confetti on your mini-profile for 30 days (to see the confetti, check out the profiles of adlerist, Bloodstone, LadyJ, MinyaZ, OboeKade, samiam, and Worms)
• The title 'Milestone Dragon Contest Winner' will be added to your mini-profile for 30 days
CONTEST RULES
1. You must be a Forum member to enter the Milestone Dragon Contest because prizes are awarded on members’ mini-profiles, and the Forum does not retain guest profiles.
2. Only one submission per player. If more than one entry is posted, the contestant will be disqualified.
3. Please post your answers on this thread only. If you have any questions or difficulty posting, feel free to message a staff member or post your questions on this thread.
4. Do not edit or delete your contest entry post. Posts that are edited will be void and users that delete and submit a new post will not be eligible to win.
5. The Milestone Dragon Contest will end on Thursday, 21 September at 8.00 a.m. MDT (the game’s daily reset). To be eligible for the bonus question, your entry will need to be posted by 13 September at 8.00 a.m. MDT.
6. If the dragons’ names or images are leaked or revealed before the contest deadline, the contest will end immediately.
7. After the Milestone Dragon Contest concludes, the DragonVale Community Forum staff will tally the points for each participant. The three contestants with the most points will be declared the winners. In the event of a tie, the contestant who posted first wins. To receive the 60 gems prize, winners will need to add the parks of adlerist, Bloodstone, LadyJ, MinyaZ, OboeKade, samiam, and Worms, so staff can gift them the gems; winners will also need to provide their Friend ID to adlerist for Deca to deliver 30 gems.
8. The winners will be announced on the Forum approximately three days after the contest ends. Staff will also message them on the Forum.
HOW TO ENTER THE MILESTONE DRAGON CONTEST
1. In the below post there are two questions about the 800th dragon and a bonus question about the anniversary dragon. Copy the questions.
2. At the top of the thread to the right, click the Reply button. The Create Post page will open.
3. Paste the questions in the reply box and provide your answers.
4. When you’re done, click Create Post at the bottom of the reply box.

Infinity (When the number 8 is sideways it becomes infinity. It’ll be a missed opportunity if DECA doesn’t take advantage of the special 8 shape. Also, there was a Schoolhouse Rock song about it!)

I think the dragon will be a cool spider because they have eight legs. Arachne is the name of the Greek goddess who was turned into a spider by Athena.
