You don’t need a tent when you’re camping under the stars. But if you want to capture the starry magic of the night, the Noel dePlante-approved Stargazer is a requirement. Don’t be left without the celestial details. Simply rate all the new Camping Under the Stars II dragons before the event concludes on 20 September, and you'll be marvelling at the constellations every night!
Since we have completed two full years of Rate a Dragon there are now two previous camping awards to offer. Instead of the Stargazer, you can choose the Astral Spire from last year’s Camping Under the Stars or Bluetooth the Bluebird from Into the Wild. So many options! When you’re done rating the Camping Under the Stars II dragons, message me, and Astral Spire or the beloved Bluebird will be added to your profile instead.
AWARD RULES
1. You must be a Forum member to receive an award because guest profiles are not retained.
2. Awards will display on your Profile page and mini profile. To see the awards, you’ll need to view the Forum in its desktop version since the mobile version does not support many features, including the full mini profile.
3. Awards will be permanent, but if you do not want them or would like them removed, just let me know.

1. Animation 5 I especially like that the floor lights up as its hooves hit the ground.
2. Size (if you don’t own Capricornian, please check a friend’s park) 3 It spends its time in the water but can’t be placed in a water habitat, so it doesn’t have much space to move due to being so large.
3. Price (13100 EC) 1 It was two (the score was decreased because of Shadowflash) but it would have been 1 anyway had the cloning odds not been increased. Ultimately I don’t like even 10% cloning unbreedables being this expensive since, as I’ve mentioned a lot before, not everyone will know about cloning, but since now anyone who wants these dragons and does know about cloning has an actually reasonable chance of getting them, I don’t mind the overly expensive prices as much. Score decreased by 1 for the extra limited. Unbreedables should not be this expensive when there are extra limiteds - or when there are four unbreedables instead of the usual three.
4. How well does Capricornian fit the theme of the event 5 All the Zodiacs will obviously be getting this score. DECA would have to be actively trying very hard to make them not related 😂
5. Design details 4.5 There’s quite a bit going on but I’m a big fan of this dragon. I really like the colour scheme, though I think the horns could be a slightly darker colour, or some other parts of the main body could be slightly lighter. The design is pretty clearly related to a goat as well, so it works as a Capricorn dragon. (Not sure where the fish tail came from but that might just be something Capricorn-related that I’m unaware of.)
6. How would you rate Capricornian’s breeding combo (Chimmit + earth) 5 I don’t know enough about zodiac stuff to comment on how well related the required dragons are (unless they’re incredibly obvious) so I’ll just be deciding this score on how reasonable the combo is. Chimmit is element-only which is great (and also has 10% cloning odds) and its 3% odds means the combo is very accessible even to newer players. Very new players would have to rely on Co-Op because they won’t yet have access to the dark element to breed Chimmit, but that can’t be avoided all the time, and since that’s the worst thing about this combo, I can’t really complain. The only particularly long fail times are the permanent Rainbows and Dream, so that’s good too.
7. How much do you like Capricornian (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 5 Since I figure high prices are going to be a feature of this event too, I’m going to try not to include that in my overall judgement. Ignoring the price I really like this dragon.
Comments: I’m beginning to worry expensive prices are going to become a pattern. Please don’t let it. Yes, at heart, DV is about breeding dragons not buying them, but the point of being able to buy dragons is as a backup if someone has terrible luck, so I don’t think people should be punished for their terrible luck by having to meet prices as expensive as these.

Animation: 3/5 Needs quite a bit more personality.
Size: 5/5 Fits well with the other zodiac dragons.
Price: 1/5 NO. Just no. I thought that the dragons from Dunes of Magic (Oasian especially) were pricey but THIS? 13,100 for a starting release is just absurd.
Theme: 5/5 A continuation of last year's event needs no explanation.
Design: 4/5 The lack of details on its tail makes it slightly less consistent compared to the other zodiacs. Except for Librian, which has quite a few similar qualities.
Combo: 5/5 Considering that Chimmit has an elemental combo, I cannot complain too much.
Preference: 5/5 All the zodiac dragons are phenomenal. And since Capricorn is my sign, Capricornian gets an added bonus!
1. Animation 4 - I’d say it’s suitable. Nothing too eye-catching, which honestly is fine. Maybe just a bit of a difference between animations would make it better.
2. Size (if you don’t own Capricornian, please check a friend’s park) 4 - A bit on the larger side, and therefore doesn’t have as much room as it could.
3. Price (13,100 Star Dust) 3 - like a lot of other limiteds, really expensive. While yes, they are limited and therefore should be more exclusive to get, the prices shouldn’t be something that drains all my stardust every week if I’m trying to focus on breeding other dragons. Bringing it down 2-3k should be good.
4. How well does Capricornian fit the theme of the event 5 - correlates to last year’s dragons, pretty self explanatory
5. Design details 4 - it looks very nice on its own, but is a little lacking when put next to other zodiacs. Perhaps a bit more detail in the tail and chest would make it better while keeping the design balanced.
6. How would you rate Capricornian’s breeding combo (CHIMMIT + earth) 5 - fits nicely! Also gives chimmit more use, which is always good

Comments / feedback for Deca Just adjust the prices of limited dragons for future events. I feel like dragonvale is a relaxing game, and while there should be some things to grind and achieve, I don’t think limiteds should be so hard to get for casual players. Obviously, making them cheap would defeat the purpose of breeding and them being “limited” and more exclusive, but I think bringing down the price but just a couple thousand would do wonders.

Capricornian was one of the three clone-only dragons this event. When it is available next, Chimmit + earth element will be its combo. That's why people are asked to vote on it
