Thank you so much for supporting DragonVale by submitting your feedback. It is immensely helpful, as it provides the Deca DV Team with player responses and recommendations for the dragon designs. Here’s a repost of some friendly reminders to ensure all ratings are accurate and counted.
1. You can add comments to your ratings, but please double-check and be sure you provided a number to rate the dragon.
2. If the following is submitted:
1. 5 2. 4 3. 3 4. 5 5. 4 6. 5 7. 5
But there are 8 questions (or if 8 ratings are submitted, and there are only 7 questions), the ratings will not count because it’s impossible to tell which rating goes to which category. Using the dragon’s Rate a Dragon template will help avoid this issue, but it’s not a requirement.
3. Please use a number between 1-5 to rate the dragons. Numbers outside this range will be discarded and not calculated in the rating average.
4. If more than one number is submitted, the rating will not be included.
5. If you change your mind or warm up to a dragon, you can edit the rating, but please inform ladyj so she can ensure it is accurately recorded.
6. Deca Games asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on. Please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
7. The Rate a Dragon threads will be locked on September 20th, when the event concludes. If you need more time, please message me prior to the deadline.

1. Animation 3 What’s there is good but more could have been done. It could have shot out lightning bolts, for example. That would be so cool.
2. Rift trait 3.5 I do think it’s slightly overtraited, as everything except one colour is covered by the trait (one of the things I like about the dragon is the colour scheme), though it’s well-placed at least.
3. Size (if you don’t own Shadowflash, please check a friend’s park) 4 A good size as DECA dragons go (though a tad large compared to BF’s non-epic dragons).
4. Price (10,700 EC) 2 A very fair price for a limited but not in an event with an extra limited and four unfairly priced unbreedables. It would have been 5 had the prices been more reasonable or 3 had the prices been what they are but without the extra limited and unbreedable.
5. How well does Shadowflash fit the theme of the event 5 The description makes it very obvious but even without that, the name and design suggest it’s related to the event (even if not as clearly as the description).
6. Design details 5 I really like the colour scheme and the lightning strikes on its body especially. The dark colours mixed with the lightning make it obvious why the dragon was called ‘Shadowflash’.
7. How would you rate Shadowflash’s breeding combo (dark + light + lightning) 5 I always love an elemental combo. I definitely think Shadow + Flash would’ve been a great combo, though I’m glad an opposite-element hybrid wasn’t used (as relevant as that combo would be).
8. How much do you like Shadowflash (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 5 Ignoring its release this is an awesome dragon!
Comments: I don’t know how others feel but I’m really against extra limiteds, even if they have good combos. This joined with Lambovian being a fourth unbreedable wasn’t fair at all on new/casual players, especially given Shadowflash was the only reasonably priced dragon this event. If nothing else, please let the game reps know in advance instead of one hour before, so that they can prepare posts and let people know of extra upcoming combos and so on.

Trait: 3/5 There is too much. Wings or belly would have been fine, but not both.
Size: 5/5 Looks about right.
Price: 4/5 Overall I cannot complain too much considering it is the cheapest new release.
Theme: 5/5 The description ties it in.
Design: 5/5 Great color palate and backflip art style. Takes me back!
Combo: 4/5 I cannot complain with an elemental combo, BUT... you missed a huge opportunity. The dragon's name and elements speaks to the combo SHADOW + FLASH perfectly. Bogberry and Harvest Moon have combos according to their names, so why not shadowflash?
Preference: 5/5 This is my favorite so far this event.
Comments: The dragon should have been our DARK/LIGHT golden hybrid. It's design and elements, aside from lightning, shout it to be that way.

Comments / feedback for Deca : Love the big purple eyes of the baby and like the colouring of Shadowflash. It has a lot traited which is surprising as a lot of dragons have been more subtle. But I like it. Fire trait looks amazing. The best priced dragon, so far, but it was an extra, unplanned for dragon. He has great proportions and not too detailed. All round a great dragon
1. Animation 4 - works well with what we’ve got! I feel like more could’ve been done to explore its theme, but it looks good as it is
2. Rift trait 3 - a bit overtraited. I think that keeping the trait to the feet, the crack-like markings, and maybe the underbelly would’ve perfect.

4. Price (10,700 Star Dust) 4 - MUCH better compared to things like librian or saggitarian. This is what limited dragon’s starting prices should be. I do agree with some other commenters though about how this is a bit too much for an extra limited. 9.5k or mayyyybe 10k would’ve been good.
5. How well does Shadowflash fit the theme of the event 4 - fits as well as it can! Definitely fits the night theme.
6. Design details 5 - It looks AMAZING! The style brings me back to Backflip’s days, and the design overall is very balanced and original. One of my favorites for the event, that’s for sure
7. How would you rate Shadowflash’s breeding combo (dark + light + lightning) 5 - A nice, obvious combo that makes this dragon pretty easily accessible; also validating a possibly lower price more.
8. How much do you like Shadowflash (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 5 - with what we have, I think it looks awesome!! I’d barely make any changes to it

Comments / feedback for Deca So something I noticed upon release is that Shadowflash's adult icon has a different facial design than its in game appearence, at first I thought it looked a bit awkward but it grew on me Another thing, this dragon's egg design is honestly one of my favourite egg designs in the game
