Comments: All considering, this dragon made a fairly well placed appearance. Initially I was taken aback, particularly when Lambovian showed up last and left my Rift cave to hang for days. But I'd forgotten the Anniversaries were returning. I can now say I'm much happier that Shadowflash arrived earlier in the event and I was able to focus on Nacre breeding at the end instead of Shadowflash or a different, more breedable, limited. Shadowflash has so many 'original DV' style elements and I absolutely love that! I love that he shares body-typing with Scorch too. That in and of itself is such an original DV thing to do. I kind of wish he'd maintained that Scorch head we see in the icon, but the new one is fine too. I took a point off the animation rating because of that foot stamping. Overall I think he does plenty, given he's not epic. I agree that some kind of animation that worked off his name would have been cool though. Had he been a rift exclusive with a neat shadowflashing rift pattern, that could have worked. I love his body marking and thought they'd look great with Lightning trait, but boy, it is overpowering with the wings included. Hopefully I can get a brighter trait soon, because his design details are completely masked unless he's lit up (shadowflash, indeed). I think his price was too high given the usual suspects (no additional ec makers and extra, unexpected limited), but at least he had an easy combo and seemed easy enough to get in the end. Nice use of the story for thematic purposes.

So pleased this dragon has finally been released! We’ve been so curious about him for years. And he did not disappoint!
Animation: First of all, this dragon sits, which is fantastic! I realise it only sits because Scorch sits in its animation, but it's still nice to see.
Rift trait: Perfect Rift traiting!
Design details: Shadowflash looks like a Backflip dragon because it’s basically a blue version of Scorch. But it’s a nice glow-up with some new accessories.
It does look like Scorch was Deca-ized. The face was changed (although the original Scorch face is showing on Shadowflash's icon) to Deca’s style, and the dragon was given fiery boots. The illusion of boots is not an uncommon Deca feature, and on Shadowflash it doesn't really work. But it’s a wonderful dragon and a marvellous (shadow)flashback to the days of Backflip!

1. Animation 3 - Nothing much, although what it does have is good. Perhaps it could have breathed out a mixture of a shadowy substance, fire, and a flashy light as reference to its creation stated in its description.
2. Rift trait 5 - Yeah, I guess it's overtraited, but I can't deny that it has great trait placement, and it honestly does look really cool with certain traits all over it.

5 - Decently sized. It isn't too big nor is it too small.
4. Price (10,700 Star Dust) 4 - Fair price. I don't really have anything else to say.
5. How well does Shadowflash fit the theme of the event 5 - It description definitely connects it to the event, but even without it, I think the design and name also fit. Its coloration is similar to the night sky, and its name, Shadowflash, sounds like an astronomical event.
6. Design details 5 - Even though this dragon uses Scorch as a base, it still has a great design. It has great coloration, and the cracks on its body do give off the idea that it was created from an implosion as its description states. Can't forgot how it uses the Backflip style as well!
7. How would you rate Shadowflash’s breeding combo (dark + light + lightning) 5 - It's an element only combo, and I love those. However, it was quite a missed opportunity to not have the combo be Shadow + Flash.

Comments / feedback for Deca I love Shadowflash! I also love Scorch! Shadowflash was a big surprise. I wasn’t expecting it at all when I opened my park. But it was a nice surprise since he wasn’t too hard to breed and he looks like Scorch!

Comments / feedback for Deca If DECA is going to release a surprise dragon in an event, this is the way to do it. A lovable dragon in Backflip’s style that has high breeding and cloning percentages, doesn’t cost too much event currency, and is available for more than 7 days. Shadowflash stole the spotlight for a while but didn’t overtake the event. He’s a good addition to the game, and it was really nice seeing a dragon in Backflip’s style again.
