Tickles certainly has the power to tickle you literally everywhere.
Tickle's description reminds me of Parasect - a pocket monster recorded to be fully controlled by a parasitic fungus on its back. Perhaps something similar has happened with this dragon - for all I know, maybe the parasitic infection is caused by a subspecies of the same fungi!
Tickles is based on the 'zombie fungus', Cordyceps fungus. It has recently received a lot of attention from the HBO series The Last Of Us, adapted from a video game of the same name. Pokémon’s Parasect is likely based on Cordyceps as well.
In the post-apocalyptic world of The Last Of Us, a mutated Cordyceps fungus infects humanity, turning the human hosts into screaming shroom monsters. But in real life, the fungus infects insects, taking over their bodies and controlling their brains. Here’s a fascinating video from Attenborough’s Planet Earth. There are thousands of different types of Cordyceps fungus, and when they emerge from their host they look quite different.
Tickles is the perfect Halloween dragon and nightmare tinder — with the most deceptive of names!
Yikes after watching the Planet Earth segment on cordyseps and hearing about the HBO series, I doubt if I will ever use cordyseps in making the Spring Tonic my acupuncturist gave me a recipe for. Now I wondering exactly what all is in that “tonic”. I could wake up some morning feeling not quite like myself, look into the mirror and see a zombie looking back at me.

I started DragonVale as a collector, became a decorator, and then added being a Visual Storyteller. For co-op friending my ID is GKVale # 4024
I think I’m doing something wrong with quotes, it looks like an edit of someone’s post rather than a comment on their post??
I've fixed it for you. Sometimes if you back space, you end up in the comment instead of quoting. If you click on the BBCode tab (bottom left), your words need to be outside the [/quote] box.
I did the thing. One of my alts had zero twin Scourge and Macabre. So I took a risk and sold my Scourge. 🫣 It wasn’t a good feeling lol. It took I think 3 days to get it. And thank goodness, she came traited! 🙌 So I gave it a shot with Macabre. Which is extra painful because to buy that one back is over 10k ec. Bleck. But yesterday I GOT TRAITED MACABRE! So today that alt will finally be going for Wendigo. It’ll only take a few more years to work my way up to traited Tickles at this rate. As to Barbarous and Charlatan, that account has both in twin form, so I’m not eager to sell. One I’ll probably select from the daily reward, the other from Runics at Xmas.
Silly for an Alt, but I do try to play it halfway well, so I’m very happy I was able to get both Scourge and Macabre traited, finally! And quickly! Thanks for increasing their odds, Deca!
Now if only my Main could manage a traited Fortified. He’s certainly fortified himself against my Rift breeding attempts.

From what I understand, Cordyceps is a common fungus that has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine. It’s supposed to have potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. And it can be purchased at drugstores and markets as a supplement. Good for humans, but not so good for insects.

I did this too with my alts. Each alt had two Macabre dragons. I sold both to get the better percentage in the Rift, and I did get Macabre with a trait! It took a couple of days. And I was able to breed Hydnellum with a trait too, so I could get Tickles.
I started using the Runic Breeding Caves for the Four Horsemen dragons last year so my alts have 2-3 of the twin Rift Horsemen. It’s a great strategy that players talked about on the forum. With the new breeding percentages for the Horsemen, my alts are finally caught up. I totally agree with you that alts need to be successful too and have a good working Rift with traited dragons. That way they can better help your main park.
I came here searching for support for having sold my first Macabre breed because it wasn't a traited one... Took a look at the latest posts, I guess I'm not the only one
You have a lot of support here! I hope you were able to breed a traited Macabre!
I don't mean to be pushy, but have DECA given any updates on roughly when compensation will be coming for those affected by the bug? One of my friends was affected and doesn't currently have enough EC to get Fortified, which they were hoping to get. Thank you ☺️

After finally being able to obtain a traited Fury last Friday, I thought it would be fun to track my attempts towards a Hyperion for both myself and anyone who wishes to read. Below is my experience:
Total attempts per day: 22 (23 on a day I wasn't paying attention!) Breeds with a trait: 70% Breeds with lower odds than Hyperion: 4.7% Unique Drain fails: 46 Most popular fail: Garden Total breeding attempts needed for a traited Hyperion: 85! Non-traited Hyperion fails: 0
I also started tracking my stats towards an Iden, but luckily it only took 6 attempts. Funis I got in one. It was a good day in the rift yesterday!

I know Redditors have been anxiously awaiting compensation. Luflic just posted an update on the Deca Announcements thread.

Three additional Double Days have been added to Candy Bash X!
• Friday, 27 October • Monday, 30 October • Friday, 3 November
The Double Days were included to help players who were locked out of the game due to the loading bug. There will be additional compensation. Deca is still working on the amounts and distribution.

At the next daily reset, Fortified will dance out of the Vale in its trademark two-step, hip-hop, foxtrot. Be sure you have the live version of Whitbee’s Castle in your Vale, so you’re ready for Halloween. Breed Fortified and its pedestal today!

Sorry if this has been mentioned. Just saw in News on the Social tab that Egg of Mystery is available for next 6 days and 14 hours with a note that we can get dragons we may have missed in previous events. This confuses me. I thought all old dragons were available in Egg of Mystery. Does this mean they are increasing chances on old event dragons for next week?

I was also confused on the announcement as well. I did not know if EOMs were featuring recent event dragons, or if the "in case you missed them" egg bundles are returning for a week.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.

The notification is for new limited items in the Market. There are event mystery eggs for Valeice Getaway, Eggciting Egg Hunt, Into the Wild, Country Roads, and Spectacular Spectacle. It costs 1,300 - 2,000 gems for one random egg from the event (open the event mystery egg description to see which dragons are in the egg). So, if you have thousands of gems that you’re willing to gamble for an event dragon that you may or may not have, these eggs are for you (I don’t imagine many players will fit this profile).
Please be aware there are errors with the Into the Wild and Country Roads mystery eggs. Aperture, Burrow, Razortail, and Khamsin are in the eggs. These are permanent hybrids that are cheaper to buy individually in the Market than the event mystery eggs (plus, they're super easy to breed). Deca will remove them tomorrow. In the meantime, do not purchase the Into the Wild and Country Roads mystery eggs.

Aww this is such a nice goodbye to Fortified! I love the pics of him with the bat and the dance lol.
I just logged into one of my alt parks, which is currently level 28, and noticed that for some reason the Love Dragon now requires an unlock level of 31 like a rift-exclusive. Wrath, however, is available to purchase at the park's current level.
Is this some sort of bug?
I had the same question and asked support. From their reply, it seems like it was intentional, and the person who replied to me was going to pass on my feedback that it would be better unlocked at an earlier level. 🤞
All Hallow’s Eve was upon the Vale, but Whitbee’s creature was still a broken mess. Whitbee and Glumi looked at the remnants from the previous dragons, the grey matter, machina parts, funny bones, and slumbering strength. 'If only there were more time', lamented Whitbee. Glumi had a Samhain spell tucked in her pocket. It was reserved for emergencies, but she had never seen a Halloween deadline as urgent as this. She pulled out the candy corn dust and cast it upon the dizzying array of dragon leftovers. They rose, rotated, swung, and spun. It was a complicated orchestra that weaved and hummed, never to be repeated. 'You’re patching the pieces together like a Frankenstein?' asked a startled Whitbee. 'It’s a Dragonstein!' exclaimed Lumi. As the All Hallow’s Eve dragon emerged, Whitbee recognised the form. 'It is EXTERREAN! I never thought it was real. It is a fable that we tell the wizzlings so they’ll behave. But Exterrean does exist — it is parts of all the dragons! And it is the perfect Halloween creature!' Whitbee and Glumi stared at Exterrean in astonishment. The dragon looked back at them for a crisp moment, then launched into the exhilarating night to greet All Hallow’s Eve.
Exterrean is in the co-op piecing it all together. HAPPY KOALAWEEN TO ALL!

Will this be the last new dragon?
