A Rift-bred, traited INFINITUM… is this even possible? Or are my efforts futile? Did I miss something that said “No traited version possible” I deplete my etherium every day trying, trying, trying, and failing, failing, failing. 😩
It is possible, your efforts are not futile, although your dragons may be tired now. 😉 I bred a traited Infinitum Using Level 20 Cyclone and Wick.

Of course, this won’t be helpful for players who can’t load the game, unless the bug is fixed soon. But it is good that the extension was made early this time, so players who can open DV will not purchase Tickles on Thursday, thinking it’ll expire in a couple of hours.

I might regret this… but I sold my scourge. I really want it in the rift…
I sold a level 20 Scourge to get a rifted version. Five days of rift breeds (interrupted by Tickles). There was a thought, if it took this long, to get the pedestal first, but I'm sure I will be needing the rifted Scourge soon. Going to buy the regular Scourge. I've had enough frustration.

I tried since the beginning of the event for a traited Scourge breeding up to 20k E daily, except for the days the new dragons came. Monday I made the decision to sell my regular Scourge and twin Scourge. I had the traited Scourge on the third try. I have since bred a regular but haven’t popped a twin as of yet. Only one friend with it up in the COOP. But lots of time in the event left to get the blue fire back.

Whitbee glanced up from his work, 'There have been setbacks, but as long as the structure of the creature is stable, it should stand tall and strong. I have the skeleton so far and FORTIFIED will bring strength and galvanise the creature like a citadel!' Glumi looked less gloomy, 'It will be mighty like your castle walls!' Whitbee and Glumi turned to Fortified, who was fast asleep in the corner on a bed of feather pillows. 'Unfortunately, Fortified requires 20 hours of sleep and will probably miss All Hallow’s Eve altogether,' said Whitbee. Glumi’s gloomy doom returned.
Fortified is shoring up the co-op with flying buttresses and floating trusses. Koala strong to all!

Hmmmm. I've been breeding for a traited scourge too. I hate to sell off my twin, but perhaps it will become necessary. I'll be so annoyed if I do sell and still don't get a rifted version! Such decisions!

I passed on Greymatter and Machina, didn't even try to breed them. But this guy? I love him, and I must have him! I'll get him even if I have to spend 19,100 EC. But trying to get traited Gatren so I can breed for him in the rift. Already working on him in the Epic Breeding Island.

OK… so many of you like Fortress I’m trying to give her a second chance. I do like the way she hops around like a jumping spider.

Fortified the Fortress does grow on you. I really wasn't sure about it either - a castle 'pretending' to be a dragon. But the animation is spectacular and I love how it has bats in the attic, which appear to try and escape. 😉
I thought Deca may have made it too big, but it fits in with the rest of the dragons. And it has a great lumbering walk, you can almost feel the ground shake. 😊
Perhaps not my favourite dragon from the event but a good addition.
I finally managed to breed a Fortified dragon, which ended up having an automatic name of "Furrball".
Considering that this dragon isn't much more than a sentient castle wall, it is quite ironic for it to be named Furrball. Yet it is also so silly that I am willing to keep it that way.

Beyond just another brick in the wall, Crocuta1228, Fly, Oomagooma, Protti, and Worms are the parkitects of the Vale and the foundation of the DragonVale community!

Tickles was tickled pink about his extended stay. But in less than 24 hours, he will crawl back underground to resume his nap. Breed or buy Tickles and his pedestal by the next daily reset, and he’ll tickle your fancy forevermore.

Whitbee’s Castle has unfulfilled potential (in my mind). I’m trying to figure out if Fortified has any. Adlerist’s comment about a “castle doing its best” is a nice way to put it since I do rather feel sorry for it.
Next day addendum: I am feeling friendlier toward Fortified since my wild guesses in the Spoiler Contest got me a flying ghost and 100 gems!🥰
