The DragonCash limit for the Spooky Habitat has been raised from 125,000 to 500,000!
Thank you, Calli and the Facebook folks for suggesting a DC cap raise.
Let’s go over all the upgrades to the Spooky Habitat
• Plant element added — now all your Halloween dragons can live together in spooky harmony! • Habitat cap raised from 10 to lucky 13! • DC limit raised to 5000 — so you don’t have to collect from the habitat every two minutes!
This makes the Spooky Habitat a highlight of the event and a much-desired item from the event market.
Eldritch finally had a breeding percentage upgrade!
Eldritch and the Four Horsemen had increases in their breeding percentages:
• Eldritch: 4% (was .2%) • Barbarous: 4% if you don’t own it; 1% if you own it • Charlatan: 4% if you don’t own it; 1% if you own it • Macabre: 4% if you don’t own it; 1% if you own it • Scourge: 4% if you don’t own it; 1% if you own it
All five dragons have the same single co-op cloning percentage: 1.5% Double co-cloning percentage (breeding two of the same): 10%
It has been two years! I have asked Deca to raise Eldritch’s breeding percentage for the last two Halloweens. At last, it’s here! Thank you, Deca Games!
An enormous thank you to all the players who supported an increase in these percentages. There are too many to list because it’s every player who attempted to breed Eldritch, but you know who you are. Cheers!
This is very BIG news. I'm looking forward to putting all my new spooky dragons together in a Spooky Habitat (3/3 will go in so far.)
Thank you Deca for raising the breeding percentages of Eldritch and the Four Horsemen. This will make them more achievable for players to breed and then possibly breed dragons that require these as parents.

All I have to say are three words:
THANK YOU DECA!!!
The only other note I have is that you left off two zeroes on your statement about the new DC cap - I notice that 5,000 was the number put instead of 500,000.
Well, I got the amount correct in the announcement (highlighted in orange). I honestly don’t think anyone is going to think the DC increase went from 125,000 to 5000, since that’s a significant decrease.

Thank you! Thank you! I was going to ask if you could get macabre’s percentage changed because it and all its grandchildren are needed in my rift and I have tried and tried. Thank you so much! Although I think the rift *might* still suffer from the already owning it, but according to the compendium it was .75 before. Do you know if the rift rate is affected by owning it in the vale?
I believe it does count if you own the dragon in the Vale. But some players have been able to breed dragons like Charlatan multiple times in the Rift. You may want to try it. I suppose you could sell the Vale version, and breed it in the Rift at 4%.

You’re not allowed to make typos, mate! 😂
Lol I’m kidding!
Hey thanks so much for persevering with the percentage changes, until it was finally done, adlerist! This is literally game-changing! I’ve been using the RBCs to claim the twin and traited versions of Eldritch and the horsemen in all my parks. Now I don’t have to!

I know that I got my traited Eldritch from the RBCs and pretty sure I also got several of the horsemen. It was next to impossible to breed them in the Rift.

I will be trying for Scourge in the rift hopefully sooner rather than later. If it takes me a few days and I haven't seen it, I will defintely consider selling my Vale version! It will be much easier to either buy or claim as the final gift if needed.
I have been trying to breed Brood in the rift since the beginning of the event. Unfortunately it just doesn’t want to appear.😵💫😵💫😵💫
I never bred Brood in the Rift when it was released last year. I had to claim the traited version from the Runic Breeding Caves. Not to say you’ll have the same results, but only that I know the Brood sinking ship feeling and can relate.
Worms is having trouble breeding Brood in the Rift too. Multiple koalas are on their way to both of your parks!

I would love to be going for a traited Brood right now, but first I need a Dracabra. I have been trying 20x a day the past three days. I've gotten all the possible anniversaries, but no Dracabra. I am looking forward to them being gone tomorrow!

Thank you for the koala caffine, adlerist. I finally got my adorable little Eww baby. And right before the first limited is released too, so perfect timing. 🐨☕🐨☕🐨
A great big thank you to whoever had their Eww up in co-op. I'm sorry, I didn't catch who it was, and by the time I received the egg they had switched to a different dragon. Wish I caught who it was. Just know that you are much appreciated and I'm sending much love as well. 💕

Whitbee retreated to the cellar of his castle to work on his grandest project of all — a creature to welcome and celebrate All Hallows’ Eve! The creature will be composed of four different dragons, like a gigantic costume. Wizzlings will have a delightful fright! Whitbee had the creature’s skeleton ready: ribs, spine, and skull. He started on the brain so it would think spooky and act hauntingly. Inside the skull, Whitbee placed GREYMATTER, but the dragon awoke and took his brain with him. 'Greymatter, I need your sensibility and central nervous system for the All Hallows’ Eve creature'. Greymatter looked unimpressed as he meandered out the door, 'Not now, I’m late for a date with Darkmatter'. Whitbee rolled his eyes and tossed aside the remnant grey matter the dragon left behind.
Greymatter is in the co-op with all the big brain ideas. Koala smarts to all!

Dude, that dragon's spittin' up parts everywhere! What the heck?
Lol but in all seriousness, maybe the next song I suggest for the jukebox should be Creature With The Atom Brain. Seems appropriate, don't you think?
According to Greymatter’s description, he loves to eat candy corn, like you and your dragon avatar! Although, in the announcement pop-up, it looks like he devours a Sarjin Pepper.
I love Greymatter’s animation! When he spits out his brain, he freezes, until it returns back to his head. Very realistic.

My park now displays an annoying message on startup asking if I want to upgrade to the latest version of DV. Upon checking the App Store I discover that I am already running the latest version of DV. I am absolutely certain the Apple iOS API includes a method or function to inquire about the currently installed version and that this method or function needs to be called BEFORE displaying a message about upgrading and that the version numbers being compared need to be correct on both sides of the equation. My two greymatters - what’s left of it.

4.29.1 was released on Monday, and 4.29.2 was released on Wednesday. If 4.29.2 is not showing in the App Store, go to your account profile and refresh to force all the new app updates to appear. Once you've updated to 4.29.2, the message will disappear.

This is the way. I updated to 4.29.2. It’s there, just refresh. There was probably a bug with 4.29.1 so they had to release 4.29.2 quickly, and the message is to inform players to update now since there’s a problem with 4.29.1. The message might be annoying, but it’s supposed to serve as a helpful warning.

Thanks. I did press the update button the first time I got the message on DV start but nothing happened because DragonVale already showed as updated in the App Store. Forcing a refresh in the App Store offered the latest update and I was able to upgrade to the latest version thereby eliminating the message on DV startup. Thanks for the suggestion. There should have been two separate upgrades offered for DV in the App Store, not just the one I saw.
I finally acquired GATREN with a trait, but a traited BROOD continues to elude me. I’ve spent a week trying to get it.
