Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on November 8th. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.

1. 4 Quite imaginative. 2. 4 I think the spots or some streaks around the brain could have worked better but at least it’s not overtraited. 3. 4 Good for what it is. 4. 1 That price is appalling; I wish I could rate 0. This is a first limited! Players who still want to breed other dragons from this event likely won’t be using the Donation Boards as much as they might do otherwise, so it’s not a very nice EC mechanic for DECA to use when they were clearly planning on making the dragons way too expensive. 5. 5 Theme-wise it’s fairly clear. 6. 5 The design is really good! The colour scheme works well. 7. 2 The combo is not so good, especially with Eldritch being a required “ancestor”. Since this is the first event where Eldritch had a reasonable chance of being a result of a combo, it shouldn’t have been required in so many new release trees so soon — especially not for the combo of the first limited. There are also a lot of really long fail times, which counteract the short incubation time for Greymatter. 8. 3 A cool dragon but my liking of it is lessened by its combo and price. Comments: Another great egg, I like how it’s simple but pretty. DECA seems to be actively trying to make the Halloween event really hard. I can sort of see a possible thinking behind that (?), in that Halloween is spooky, but that's not a good reason to make an event difficult with hard combos, low odds, too many dragons (including some evolutions), and way too expensive prices. And please don't put a DW during Halloween in the future. There is too much choice to begin with, especially since it will usually be starting around the anniversary. We don't need a DW increasing choice and decreasing odds even further.
Animation: 4.5/5 Overall, the dragon's animation is quite good. I am just a tad unsettled by it spitting up brains all over the place.
Trait: 3/5 Although the trait looks great on the dragon's brain and horn, it does not fit quite right on the stomach.
Size: 4/5 Greymatter is a *wee* bit thicc. In simple words, I would prefer him to be a bit smaller.
Price: 1/5 The prices this event are just absurd. It would takes about 2 whole weeks of regular play just to rack up the EC needed to buy this dragon.
Theme: 5/5 DECA did a great job combining something cute with something disturbing.
Design: 4.5/5 I enjoy the slightly more simplistic look to this dragon. The only dislike I have are in the proportions - the dragon is a *wee* bit of a chonk.
Combo: 1/5 I feel like BROOD was added purely to make players have to buy the dragon. The long chain of dragons required to breed a Brood Dragon, as well as requiring an Eldritch (triple thanks for raising the breeding odds for it!), made the breeding combo so difficult that even veteran players like myself could not obtain the dragon. On top of that, Brood doesn't even fit - just an unwelcome addition.
Preference: 2.5/5 Although there are a few aspects I do enjoy, Greymatter is not all too appealing for me. It will certainly be one of the dragons that go straight to the fountain of youth, once I obtain it.
Comments: I do not know which I hate more: the absurdly high prices, or the extremely difficult breeding combos. I just really, really hope that DECA does not do this again. It is getting quickly out of hand.

Comments/feedback for Deca: cute animation, snacking on sarjin pepper till it spits out its brain..🤣. The breeding combo is painful, with Brood being a new dragon from last year, and the 7 elements leading to a number of long fails.

7. How would you rate Greymatter’s breeding combo (ZOMBIE + BROOD) 3 and I have to ask, did they make rift breeding odds painfully low? I feel like I wasted a week's worth of rift breeds when there are other dragons I could have tried for and probably gotten. The only positive thing is that at least Dragons Week didn't start until Greymatter was gone, that would have been REALLY frustrating.

Comments/feedback for Deca : Really like Greymatter’s ponderous walk and using ‘the force’ to get the sarjin peppers into his mouth. Not so sure about the animation of losing his brains and freezing until he stinks them back inside. I would love to rate the rift trait, but despite breeding three in the Rift during the week, none of them had a trait! Nice design and the colours complement each other well. Brood and Zombie contribute seven elements to the breeding combo. This makes it a very difficult dragon to breed in a week with more than ten 24+ hours fails in the mix. Brood was released last year for 7 days and also 7 days in Dragons Week in February. And it has a complicated parentage requiring Dacrabra, Gatren, Lyan, Decay, Oni and Eldritch before it is possible to try breeding for Brood.

1. Animation 5/5. a lot of love and care was put into this, and it's easy to see.
2. Rift trait 2/5. while the brain trait is nice, the splotches of trait on the stomach of the dragon look gross, and not in a cute way.
