Thank you so much for supporting DragonVale by submitting your feedback. It is immensely helpful, as it provides the Deca DV Team with player responses and recommendations for the dragon designs. Here’s a repost of some friendly reminders to ensure all ratings are accurate and counted.
1. You can add comments to your ratings, but please double-check and be sure you provided a number to rate the dragon.
2. If the following is submitted:
1. 5 2. 4 3. 3 4. 5 5. 4 6. 5 7. 5
But there are 8 questions (or if 8 ratings are submitted, and there are only 7 questions), the ratings will not count because it’s impossible to tell which rating goes to which category. Using the dragon’s Rate a Dragon template will help avoid this issue, but it’s not a requirement.
3. Please use a number between 1-5 to rate the dragons. Numbers outside this range will be discarded; it will not be calculated in the ratings average.
4. If more than one number is submitted, the rating will not be included.
5. If you change your mind or warm up to a dragon, you can edit your comments or ratings. But if you update your ratings, please inform OboeKade so he can ensure it is accurately recorded. You must be a member to edit your post because guest profiles are not saved.
6. Deca Games asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on. Please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
7. The Rate a Dragon threads will be locked on November 8th, when the event concludes. If you need more time, please message Adlerist prior to the deadline.
Many thanks to adlerist , ladyj , MinyaZ , OboeKade , and Worms for all their work on the Rate a Dragon project! And a huge thank you to everybody for taking the time and providing your feedback on the new dragons. It is greatly appreciated by all!

Please rate the Shackle dragon on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = worst, 5 = best). If a rating below 1 or above 5 is given, or if more than one number is provided, the rating will not count.

The post below is a template you can copy/paste into your reply so it’s easier to rate the dragon. Please be sure to use the template assigned to the dragon, as the questions may vary.
SHACKLE 1. 3 Its animation makes me think it’s meant to be an overly energetic dog, though I’m not sure why that would be the case. 2. 4 Size is okay given what it is. 3. 1 Please stop giving dragons such high prices. 4. 5 The relation to the theme isn’t very clear based on just the design but the description makes it clearer. 5. 4 I think the design works well, though for me personally it doesn’t scream “I must have this dragon right now!” in the way that Eww or Magma do, though that’s probably mostly just because I’m not a massive fan of spooky things/Halloween. 6. 2 In terms of combo, I can see the reasoning behind Kage but it’s not a fair dragon to use. Until very recently Eldritch has been infamous for having abysmal odds and Wrath is an evolution dragon. Given Kage was a limited last year, it’s very, very highly likely that a player won’t have got it yet. And while by the time this dragon is breedable, Kage will have been around for a whole event, it’s still not very fair. And there are so many long fail times! 7. 3 All in all a pretty cool dragon but I probably wouldn’t have gotten it if I weren’t hoping to get red fire and its cloning odds weren’t good. Comments: I like its egg.
Animation: 4.5/5 Not much to complain about here; I enjoy the way the chains move with the dragon. I also agree with metaphoricalrobin in the way that Shackle's bouncy personality makes it seem like a really big dog.
Size: 3.5/5 The dragon is a wee bit too small.
Price: 1/5 The prices this event are just absurd. It would take about a whole week of regular play just to rack up the EC needed to buy this dragon.
Theme: 4/5 It is supposed to be a beast which was restrained and banished by a higher power. For obvious reasons, it would certainly be intimidating to see such a creature be rescued from its prison.
Combo: 1/5 Thou disgust me with this breeding combo. Although there is only one required parent dragon, that dragon is KAGE, one of the hardest dragons to breed in the game. With a combo featuring an evolution dragon and Eldritch, a (previously) elusive dragon, along with abysmal breeding odds, Kage is quite the burden. AND, it is also new, being released just last year. No wonder this dragon was banished in the first place - its breeding combo is one of the worst I've ever seen!
Preference: 1.5/5 I am not all too fond of this dragon, and in my opinion is one of the worse ones released recently. The baby is not any better; which is unfortunate meaning that I'll be stuck with a dragon I dislike no matter if I use the Fountain of Youth.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.
4. How well does Shackle fit the theme of the event: 5
5. Design details: 4, I am not so sure about those restraints (I am assuming they are broken restraints) around its body
6. How would you rate Shackle’s breeding combo (KAGE + metal + dark): 3
7. How much do you like Shackle: 4
Comments / feedback for Deca: the breeding combo makes sense with Kage, but it is a new dragon from the last event, and was difficult to breed, needing Eldritch and Wrath. New players may not have either of these dragons, let alone a Kage. Even for seasoned players, it was difficult to breed a traited Kage.
4. How well does Shackle fit the theme of the event : 5
5. Design details : 5
6. How would you rate Shackle’s breeding combo (KAGE + metal + dark) : 2
7. How much do you like Shackle : 4.5
Comments / feedback for Deca : Baby Shackle is so cute, but feed him and he becomes a menacing monster prowling the habitat. Shackle’s bouncing is like an excited puppy that has broken free of its chain, but unfortunately the shackles have stuck to him. The ‘pointing’ animation is especially dog like it would be better if it could last longer than a fleeting second. Great design and colours. Kage was only released last Halloween for a week and has appeared in Dragons Week earlier this year. That is not long enough for players to have bred him. He also requires an evolve dragon in his combo. Not cool.
1. Animation 4/5. mostly great, but the one where it does a little dance seems uncharacteristically happy?
2. Size (if you don’t own Shackle, please check a friend’s park) 5/5. fine.
3. Price (13,100 Candy) 1/5. too much for an early dragon.
4. How well does Shackle fit the theme of the event 2/5. i don't see what's exactly... spooky about it?
5. Design details 1/5. this dragon doesn't look at all like it's "shackled", in any way. it looks more like a frog crashed through a cast-iron fence.
6. How would you rate Shackle’s breeding combo (KAGE + metal + dark) 1/5. kage? really?
7. How much do you like Shackle (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 1/5. not at all a fan of the design, and the price and combo don't make me interested in coming around on it.
1. 4/5 Creepily good animation 2. 4/5 A little large 3. 3/5 A lot expensive 4. 5/5 More eww than Eww 5. 4/5 It’s pretty nightmarish so a good design. Those teeth 🤢 6. 3/5 Again, makes sense on paper but Kage? C’mon 7. 3/5 Personally not a fan but I do think it’s a good Halloween fit

Comments / feedback for Deca Not gonna lie, I really do not care for some of the new apocalypse dragons that much (except greymatter, he's cool)
