Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on November 8th. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.

TICKLES 1. 3 I’m not a fan but that’s because I don’t like spooky things. I can see how a Halloween-loving person would adore this. However, the images that pop up on its antennae are too cartoonish for the dragon and ruin the creepy vibe; they should be in the same art style. 2. 3 I'm torn. It feels like it's not enough but if anything else had been traited it would feel like too much. 3. 4 Okay for an epic but if it had been rare I’d have liked it to be smaller. 4. 1 But I think 0 should be allowed for price this event... 😂😭 5. 5 The design alone makes it obvious, and the description relates it to this specific event. 6. 3 Same comment as animation — I don’t like it, but I know others will love it. 7. 1 With Hydnellum only being released last year (and being stupidly expensive itself), Macabre not having the best of odds until this year, and Tickles being stupidly expensive, this is not an okay combo. The only positive thing about it is that the tree isn’t as long as Eww’s and that there aren’t an abundance of long fail times but that’s not enough to rescue it. With that said, Hydnellum is a related dragon. I just don’t think it should have been used in a combo the year after it was released, especially since it was the final limited last year. 8. 1 It would have been 3 if the price was more reasonable. As I say, I don’t like it, but others will. Comments: Stop. It. With. These. PRICES! The only reason I can think of for why DECA is doing this is to encourage EC purchases. It won’t work, DECA — certainly not if you don’t make the real money costs for EC much more reasonable. Maybe there will be some whales who oblige because they can afford to and are desperate for that dopamine hit, but most people either can’t afford the terrible real-money-to-EC ratios or just don’t want to play pay-to-play games. If you keep going down this route you will lose players. DV is one of the last games I know of that has been running for a long time but hasn’t become forcibly pay-to-play yet; please don’t take that away from it, DECA. There are SO many dragons that can result from Tickles’ combo that have the same time, including Hydnellum. Please start using different times. For Tickles it could have been 23 or 25 hours instead of 24. It’s not as “neat” as a day but it would certainly be nice, especially for when people are trying to breed/clone these dragons in RBCs (when the icon trick cannot be used), or when people are trying to get twins.

Comments/feedback for Deca: scary looking with all the “stuff” attached to its tentacles. It is kind of gross when it looks to me that it was eating something from one of the tentacles. 🤢.. But I think the egg is pretty. Just a minor rant about all those 24 hr fails leading to false hopes☹️

My rating of breeding combo gives a nod to players who do not have the required dragons at the start of the week.
8. How much do you like Tickles (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 2 I can appreciate the design as very appropriate to the event and still not like it except as being easy to hide. Maybe if I make it a baby, I’ll like it better. I’ll try that.

Animation: 2/5 Thou has no personality. Give it some character!
Trait: 4.5/5 Although subtle, the trait looks extremely good. Yet at the same time, I tend to enjoy more subtle traits in general.
Size: 1/5 Too small. Wayyyy too small.
Price: 1/5 The prices this event are just absurd. It would take about three whole weeks of regular play just to rack up the EC needed to buy this dragon.
Theme: 5/5 This is the most terrifying dragon ever released into DV. Looks like something out of a horror movie - perfect for Into the Screamhouse.
Design: 5/5 I can tell that a lot of effort was incorporated into this dragon. The fact that it is based off of the Moon Presence is also pretty cool in my opinion.
Combo: 1/5 HYDNELLUM + MACABRE might be a bit fitting as the dragon is ruled by a species of parasitic mushroom (hydnellum is based off of a mushroom), although it is extremely difficult to obtain the parents. MACABRE is a must-have dragon, since Hydnellum requires a Wendigo, which circled back and requires a Macabre Dragon. Considering the long and difficult chain, as well as the fact that Hydnellum was only released last year, I can confidently say: thy despise this breeding combo.
Preference: 2/5 Although there is a lot of effort to this dragon, it is just way too small, and way too unsettling, for me to thoroughly enjoy. (Edit: score decreased by 0.5 after seeing the dragon's size for the first time).

Comments/feedback for Deca : Tickles really fits the Halloween theme, very spooky looking. Not sure why Whitbee’s head appears on one of its tentacles. Is it to indicate it was thinking about Whitbee? Outrageous price, just ridiculous. Same with the breeding combo, there is too much inbreeding happening. Hydnellum requires Wendigo to breed, which requires Macabre to breed. Both dragons are hard to breed. Hydnellum could have been used with Cave or Subterranean. The contributing elements would be the same and it would still be a challenging combo.

1. Animation 3.5/5, fine ig? The animations with Whitbee's head and a brain appearing on one of the tentacles are the highlights of this honestly, the other animations feel a little stiff

Comments: Tickle's is nicely drawn. Its colours are good, detail isn't too overly complex and I really like the subtle traiting. I wish it was bigger. Mine is in the same habitat as Greymatter and it's lost behind Greymatter an awful lot. The one tentacle that pops out the brain and Whitbee's head makes absolutely no sense to me and seems very out of character. But then, the dragon doesn't really have any other character. Some of the other dragons this event have had some amazing animations. I'm not sure why this one didn't get the same love. I really like the concept behind this dragon and I learned a little biology. Hydnellum makes a whole lotta sense as a parent now. I'm still not thrilled it was used, given its breeding ancestry, but at least it fits the bill theme-wise. Macabre is ok, but only because Deca increased the breeding odds for Macabre. However, people with twin Macabres are hard-pressed to delete them in order to TRY for a traited Macabre. A compromise would have been to wait and introduce Tickles NEXT year, giving people this event to get ahead with the new Macabre odds (and resulting Wendigo and Hydnellum breeding).
The price for this one was ridiculous. No.
