Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on November 8th. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.
Please take a minute to rate the Whitbee’s Candy Bash X: Into the Screamhouse dragons from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your feedback on this thread or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your thoughts, and making this game even better with each dragon.

Please rate the Exterrean dragon on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = worst, 5 = best). If a rating below 1 or above 5 is given, or if more than one number is provided, the rating will not count.

1. 3 The... pincer-horns (can’t think of a better word) are very stiff during the animation, apart from when they go back and forth, but other than that it’s good. 2. 1 After going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth for a while, I finally found it. (It didn’t help that mine was metal trait so it blends in.) Just... no. The problem is that this dragon is over-detailed so putting a large amount of trait anywhere would ruin it, but it could have worked with multiple small traited areas. The red marks on its wings could have been traited as well, and parts of the pincer-horns, and maybe the little claw feet and the tail (even that would have been subtle). But as it is, this dragon has basically no trait whatsoever. 3. 4 Okay for an epic. 4. 1 but I really do mean 0 this time around. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Especially after the bug. 5. 4 It’s not 5 because not even the description relates it to the specific event, just Halloween in general. (Though to be fair, it is related with that price — perfectly continuing that terrifying theme of this event.) 6. 5 Absolutely love it, which I never thought I’d say about a Halloween dragon. In my opinion, this is a perfect blend of “spooky but not gross”. It totally fits the Halloween vibe but doesn’t gross me out like Hydnellum and Tickles do. I don’t particularly like the pincer-horn things because they stick out like a sore thumb (maybe that’s fitting for this dragon though?) but they don’t take away from my overall liking of this dragon. Very good job, DECA! 7. 3 Amalgamate is great. Scourge shouldn’t really have been used given the fact its odds are effectively 1% since most people will likely want to try both in the main park and the Rift. I looked through the event to see dragons that would be a suitable second parent since I couldn’t think of any... I think Etch would have worked incredibly well here. Maybe Nox (they have a similar sort of design, at least in the baby form), and it could have been a Rift-exclusive (that would at least make up for the lack of trait). Acid could also work well (it’s not part of the event but it’s permanent anyway), and that could have given it its relation to this specific event. Epic dragons don’t always have to require an epic parent/element — look at Apocalpyse itself, for example. 8. 3 It would be 5, but I will never forget this was the first dragon to cost over 20k and that will always cause me to see this dragon negatively. Not cool. Especially not when you had enough time to change its price after the bug. Comments: The prices. Just... Stop. Please.
5. How well does Exterrean fit the theme of the event: 5
6. Rate Exterrean’s design: 5
7. How would you rate Exterrean’s breeding combo (AMALGAMATE + SCOURGE): 3, the combo is not making a lot of sense for me. Yes, maybe Amalgamate because of their synced thinking = hivemind, but why Scourge?
8. How much do you like Exterrean: 3.5
Comments/feedback for Deca: not too sure about this one. Looks like a centipede to me. And what is that green stuff that it was throwing up?🤮🤷♀️
Animation: 3/5 Overall, the dragon has a good personality, but the animation itself could be of a better quality.
Trait: 1/5 Where is it? Does the dragon in the video even have a trait? (It does but I cannot see it).
Size: Cannot rate this one right now 😕
Price: 1/5 The prices this event are absurd. It would take a whole month to gather enough EC needed to buy the dragon. On top of this, Extraterran is the most expensive dragon ever released in DV event history.
Theme: 5/5 No explanation necessary.
Design: 4/5 Although the concept is awesome, there is a bit too much going on.
Combo: 1.5/5 Scourge is not my favorite parent, and doesn't even fit. As much as it would be more difficult, I would have preferred AMALGAMATE + HYPERION.
Preference: 2/5 Originally I was going to rate this a 4, but -2 points for everything except for the design itself being less than optimal.

2. Rift trait 1 First look; What trait? Where? Third or fourth look; Oh …thought I misplaced some eerie fog.
3. Size (if you don’t own Exterrean, please check a friend’s park) 4
4. Price (20,300 Candy) 1
5. How well does Exterrean fit the theme of the event 5
6. Rate Exterrean’s design 3
7. How would you rate Exterrean’s breeding combo (AMALGAMATE + SCOURGE) 3
8. How much do you like Exterrean (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 3
Comments/feedback for Deca Like the baby better than the adult. Prices, long work hours, no vacation, no sick days …have taken a toll on the way I play the game. Going low key.
1. Animation: 3/5 Not too much going on, but pretty good.
2. Rift trait: 4/5 I like it subtle like this, though this is a little bit underdone.
3. Size (if you don’t own Exterrean, please check a friend’s park): 4/5 Decent size.
4. Price (20,300 Candy): 1/5. Terrible. I'm sorry, we're just not going to be able to afford these prices. 15,000-18,000 is doable, but over 19k and it's pushing being able to gather that much candy, or even buy extra.
5. How well does Exterrean fit the theme of the event: 5/5
6. Rate Exterrean’s design: 5/5 Good concept, well executed!
7. How would you rate Exterrean’s breeding combo (AMALGAMATE + SCOURGE): 5/5
8. How much do you like Exterrean (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!): 5/5
Comments/feedback for Deca:
I love this dragon, however I didn't even try for it, not even co-op. I think the price just turned me off, to be honest.
1. 4/5 Can’t get too excited about it but good enough 2. 1/5 Needs way more colour. A wasted opportunity 3. 5/5 No complaints with the size 4. 1/5 Many, many complaints with the price. Just no 5. 5/5 Spookily good fit 6. 4/5 Great design, just a bit drab colour wise & doesn’t stand out well in its habitat 7. 5/5 The combination works for me 8. 4/5 Really like it but definitely needed more colour
5. How well does Exterrean fit the theme of the event : 5
6. Rate Exterrean’s design : 4.5
7. How would you rate Exterrean’s breeding combo (AMALGAMATE + SCOURGE) : 3
8. How much do you like Exterrean : 4
Comments/feedback for Deca : Exterrean doesn’t have a lot of animation, but he doesn’t need it. He is suitably scary and menacing with his mouthful of teeth, roaring and lunging forward animation. Not a fan of the dragons that spit whether it is spitting out brains or green bile. I’m all for a trait that isn’t overpowering, but Exterrean’s trait is so subtle it is almost invisible. More is needed. In the large picture of Exterrean it is clear that he has four eyes (as does the baby). However, in game his head is so small and detailed it is impossible to see any eyes at all. Amalgamate is a fitting parent and not too difficult to breed. Scourge seems to be an unnecessary ‘lets make it harder’ addition. Although the breeding odds were increased (thank you) Scourge isn’t the easiest dragon to breed and requires a Misfortune dragon which is challenging to breed. It is not needed to have an apocalypse dragon in the breeding combo to create another apocalypse dragon.
3. Size (if you don’t own Exterrean, please check a friend’s park) 5/5 nothing to complain here
4. Price (20,300 Candy) 1/5 please stop im begging
5. How well does Exterrean fit the theme of the event 5/5 based alien guy
6. Rate Exterrean’s design 5/5 i love creepy aliens so much, reminds me of the classic xenomorph
7. How would you rate Exterrean’s breeding combo (AMALGAMATE + SCOURGE) 4/5 idk odds but thematically it's fine
8. How much do you like Exterrean (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 4/5 i absolutely love this dragon but the price and trait really brings the score down
1. Animation: 3/5 2. Rift trait: 2/5 3. Size: 5/5 4. Price (20,300 Candy): 1/5 5. Theme: 4/5 6. Rate Exterrean’s design: 5/5 7. Breeding combo (AMALGAMATE + SCOURGE): 2/5 8. How much do you like Exterrean (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!): 3/5
Comments:
Points lost because I was so hoping this dragon would actually walk on all those little feet, at least for a little bit. But no. They're just there in spirit. The rest is fine, but not memorable. The traiting is incredibly minimal and so fine as to be invisible with anything but the brightest trait. I like the way it lines areas of the dragon, but it's just too fine. Maybe the foot claw things, or the wing bones could have been traited. Sizing is perfect, including the head size, which I often have trouble with on these detailed dragons. Well done! Thematically, it doesn't really work for this particular event, which seems focused on Whitbee's fumblings, but it works for Halloween overall. My actual Price rating is -5/5. Unprecedented, and not in a good way. Shocking and yet not. I think we've all been watching the prices escalate event after event and hoping it wouldn't get this far. And here we are. The icing on the cake was the response to that AMA question about price inflation. What a joke. The ludicrous breeding combo was bettered with Scourge's increased (sort of) breeding odds. I want to thank our reps and Deca for working to make the Horsemen more accessible. I still rated the Breeding Combo low because I was essentially forced to delete dragons I'd bred or paid for in the past in order to have the privilege of using the higher odds (with no guarantee of succeeding).
