No more breeding for me today either... rainbow last night and just now I believe my first ruby! Guess I won't be the last one... happy to give that gem to someone else!

It was a little over a day, I think 30 hours? Took me a minute to realize it. I'm happy I'll at least have one ruby.

So we're going to make this an ongoing competition, so have split this into it's own thread. Myke will be looking after it and changing the OP for each new Dragon. Will let him explain more.
This might be broken because you can actually have two Ruby Dragons but make it look like you have none. Then on the last day you can say look I have none. All you will see is Chrome ad Scorch breeding in both caves. The scandalous person could say they are Coppers. But then when you incubate the eggs ad someone checks your island and you have two Ruby eggs, you will look like a tool so this might work.

Hopefully we do not have ppl in here like that!! And for the time that I have been with this group of ppl I would say thankfully we do not!!! All we ask is to just be honest with us and all is good!!! Bc this ruby is turning out to be a pain in the ___!!!!!!

I suppose in any contest there is the possibility that someone might try to take advantage of those willing to wager a gem. That hasn't been my experience with our wonderful members, and I wouldn't expect it in the future. We're talking a handful of gems here, so not worth trying to cheat to get. They would have to hide that Ruby forever to avoid the risk of getting caught. In the long run they would actually lose more gems than they would receive in the contest.

Ok this is really getting to be stupid!!! It has never ever taken me this long to get a freaken dragon!! Not even the rainbow!!!! There has got to be some end to this madness!!!! For the last 17 days I have been none stop breeding in at least one of the two caves and only took a break to get the new dragons that came out (that took less then a day) !!! So if I take just one cave I have tried at least 5 times a day that puts it at 85 tries!!! (and yes i have burned alot of gems speeding things up) I am not even counting the rbc !!!!!! This is becoming plain stupid!!!!! !!!!!!!I WANT A RUBY!!!!!!! Wizards are you listening?? !!!!!! I WANT A RUBY !!!!!!!!

This is awesome (frustration of not having bred a Ruby aside)! 12 gems to be had (well 11 really, not counting the gem you would send yourself).
Be aware, everyone, that there will be an I HATE (but would really like to have) THE PERIDOT DRAGON competition for August. I'll be taking sign-ups as soon as this present competition is decided.
Tricia, it appears the (refuted) flood gate theory is in effect! Let's finish off this comp today and get a Gold dragon while we're at it!
