I understand the temptation to use two dragons designed by the same artist in a breeding combo for a new dragon by that same artist. Especially when the artist has a very distinct style. Everfrost fits, and even though it has the fire element, Ignaqtus does not fit because, as a hybrid, the fire element is its main components. It’s a fire/water dragon in its description and design. Ice or Longcicle would’ve been better parents. But I appreciate that extra elements were not added with Ignaqtus.

Icecarade reminds me of the glass animal figurines I used to collect as a child. The legs would taper off into points; there were no hoofs or paws since they were quite small, so they didn't have a lot of detail.

The design and colours are very pleasing. Icecarade is a wonderful addition to the winter Vale!

4/5 That’s one way to avoid drawing feet lol. The lack of feet, or hoofs, is a little strange. But it does work OK with the design. However, it made me realize that this artist rarely draws dragons’ feet/hoofs/paws.

2.5/5 I don’t think Ignaqtus works well in the breeding combo because of the fire element.

Icecarade is a beautiful dragon! The artist has such a recognizable style. One thing that I see a lot of players complaining about in other DV communities is the inconsistency in the dragon designs. I know that DECA wants to have their artist bring their own style, but I also see why some players prefer uniformity, like Backflip’s dragons. It was very difficult to tell which artist created which dragons. In just this event we have dragons as diverse as Icecarade and Shaper and Grandeur. They could easily be from three different games.

Ignaqtus is a Fire and Water dragon, wouldn’t that make Icecarade melt? Icecarade looks like it’s made from icicles, so Longsicle seems like the perfect parent. Everfrost is really difficult for new players to breed. It has Dazzling and Starshine in the combo, two dragons with the worst odds.

This is a terrific dragon. I think the breeding combo could’ve used more thought, but most of the new breeding combos needed more work.
