Heart Haven

Love is in the air and the home with Heart Haven. Not only is this sanctuary heart-shaped and cosy, but the prize-winning roses from the Flower Festival bloom in its gardens all year long. Heart Haven is the centrepiece of the celebration, the delightful destination, and the heart of Valentines. Simply rate all the Flower Festival dragons before the event concludes on 13 March, and you'll have access to floral bouquets and hearty sweets from season to season. There’s no place like home.

Since we have completed two years of Rate a Dragon, there are now two previous Valentine's awards to offer. Instead of Heart Haven, you can choose the Dreamcloud from last year’s Lovely Doubly, or if you prefer dragons over dreams, the Love Dragon from Sweet Dreams. So many options! After you’re done rating the Flower Festival dragons, message me, and the Dreamcloud or the Love Dragon will be added to your profile instead.

1. You must be a Forum member to receive an award because guest profiles are not retained.

2. Awards will display on your Profile page and mini profile. To see the awards, you’ll need to view the Forum in its desktop version since the mobile version does not support many features, including the full mini profile.

Comments / feedback for Deca: Spite uses Love’s animation, but it works because spite is kind of the opposite of love. I really like baby Spite, but the adult form isn’t very appealing to me.

Thine cast judgment upon thee Spite Dragon:

Animation: 1/5 Spite reuses Love's animation.

Size: 5/5 Size is about right.

Price: 5/5 Surprisingly cheap for recent event dragons.

Theme: 4/5 Overall, Spite fits the theme of the event pretty well; although it is certainly not a flower.

Design: 2.5/5 Spite is yet another reskin, this time of Love. The only issue is that considering Wrath, makes Spite feel redundant in a way.

Combo: 4.5/5 The combo is simple and easy. The only issue I see is how the Metal element is not transferred over to Spite from Thorn.

Preference: 2.5/5 Another DECA reskin dragon, although this time I am not all that fond of Spite.

I understand why Deca recycles animations. If they’re short-staffed or pressed for time, it can be a lifesaver. It’s certainly a practice that Backflip employed. But it looks like Deca just discovered this shortcut because over the last three events, there have been dragons that borrow animations, and the frequency has steadily increased with each event. After the first two weeks of the Flower Festival, ALL the new dragons, two in the event market (Spite/Love, Floristry/Carnival) and one new limited (Fluffydoodle/Delight) reused animations. If Deca can limit this to 1-2 dragons per event, it won’t look so obvious, and there won’t be complaints from Redditors about laziness or unoriginality.

Love already has an opposite dragon — Wrath. Wrath is evolved from Love and is supposed to represent the opposite/dark side. The Vale didn’t really need another Love opposite with Spite. But by using Love’s animation, there’s a direct connection between Love and Spite as opposing dragons.

Spite could’ve benefited from a lot of thorns in its design. It’s already suggested in the breeding combo. More vines, brambles, and sharp thorns would’ve blended well with the event’s flower theme.

When Spite closes his eyes and they completely vanish — oh my god. It will never stop freaking me out. I absolutely love it!

Comments / feedback for Deca : Baby Spite is so cute. Spite’s legs look they are on ‘sliders’ that are tacked onto the outside of the body rather than legs attached to the body. Really like the wing design. Spite could have done with more thorns/brambles, maybe even a rose or two as it steals them. Great breeding combo with two easily obtained dragons. Spite complements Ire and Scorn. Ire would have made a good parent and Spite would have made a great Aura dragon. (Far better than the Fluffy one) Bramble could have been the other parent to keep the dark element. Overall, a nice addition to the game.
