Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on March 15th (deadline has been extended!). At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.

Price (16,000 Roses) 3 the earlier prices were very kind and there were only two clone-onlies so it's not less, but with Loveydovey possibly also being 16k if a player didn't get enough Loveys and Helianthus and especially Rubrum also being fairly expensive, it's not amazing. If the earlier prices hadn't been cheap the score would be 1

6. Rate Blossom’s design 4 I like individual parts of the concept and design but when it all comes together it's incredibly cluttered. I think it would have benefited from a slightly more focused (not sure of a better word) design. But I do like it overall
7. How would you rate Blossom’s breeding combo (DIVI + SAKURA) 2 there are so many flower-related dragons, including Rose, which could have been chosen in place of Divi. Divi and Rosebud both have really awful odds so please either change their odds or don't use either of them in future combos. I do however appreciate that Blossom itself has decent odds
8. How much do you like Blossom (1 = hate it, 5 = love it) 4 design is pretty good, animation and combo chance is decent, price and Divi parent not so much

BLOSSOM DRAGON
1. Animation 3: already seen
2. Rift trait 3: a little bit dull, I would have seen the petals of the wings sparkling

4. Price (16,000 Roses) 2/5- lower it by ~3k and I will like it better.
5. How well does Blossom fit the theme of the event 5/5- flower dragon for flower event. Uncreative, but it works well.
6. Rate Blossom’s design 4/5- It's cool, but kind of looks like it's made of muscular system.
7. How would you rate Blossom’s breeding combo (DIVI + SAKURA) 3/5- only because it was a pain to breed due to not having Divi at first.
8. How much do you like Blossom (1 = hate it, 5 = love it) 4/5- I like blossom. I think it's the 3rd best dragon to be introduced in the event after Helianthus and Rubrum.
The petals moving around its body are super cool. But its movements are very stiff for a dragon with its level of detail. It makes the segments of its body incredibly easy to see and makes it look unfinished. Its personality does come through well from its animations, though.
2. Rift trait - 1
The spots where the traits are placed are too small and because of the business of the design none of the traits look like they belong on the dragon. Not even air or fire which would go the best with the dragon's color scheme, look good on this one.
3. Size - 4
Blossom is a perfectly adequate size for an epic dragon. Maybe a tad bit too big, but nothing crazy.
4. Price (16,000 Roses) - 4
I had no issue breeding this dragon so the price wasn't a problem. It is a bit too high even for a final event dragon. I'd prefer if the max was 12 or 13k.
5. How well does Blossom fit the theme of the event - 5
Dragonvale has been using a flower theme to represent Valentine's day as far back as 2013 with the Rose dragon and even 2012 since the Love dragon uses the Flower dragon as part of its breeding combo. I think it fits well.
6. Rate Blossom’s design - 1
Far too busy. Looking at the high quality art of it, it looks amazing, but in game... someone on the subreddit put it well when they said it looked like mincemeat. Especially racing with it, it does not look appealing.
7. How would you rate Blossom’s breeding combo (DIVI + SAKURA) - 3
It's a fine breeding combo. The only issue is Divi was only just released last year and has incredibly low breeding odds and it requires the Rosebud dragon to be bred who also has incredibly low breeding odds. I wasn't able to even get Divi in the Rift this year but I luckily already had it in the Vale so I was able to breed the Blossom dragon pretty early on. But I do think this dragon was more or less inaccessible for more casual players.

Its overdesigned appearance really bogs it down for me. Once again, its art style does not fit the look of the game and it is hard to really tell what's even going on with it as a dragon.

Comments/feedback for Deca : I like the idea that Blossom is created from a mass of swirling petals. But it has resulted in a dragon with a lot of small, hard to see detail. Baby Blossom has a much simpler form which would have been nice to have passed on to the adult – especially the larger face. Another gorgeous egg. A difficult breeding combo. Sakura is OK and suits Blossom, but Divi is a difficult dragon to breed with a low breeding percentage and a combo that has six elements. (Buttercup and Rosebud).

Comments/feedback for Deca. Quite ornate and intricate, but I like Blossom's concept and colouring. The fire traited version is super, the trait placement contrasts really well with the original colouring.

Comments/feedback for Deca I really like this dragon, especially the baby version. It might benefit from a little less detail for the adult version, which is harder to see than the baby, but I hope they keep coming up with this kind of awesome dragon!
Trait: 2.5/5 Although the placement isn't necessarily bad, Blossom could use a little more trait.
Size: 4.5/5 A little large for my preferences, but such an overdetailed dragon that it has to be that way.
Price: 4/5 It's a tad expensive, but at the same time, not unbearable.
Theme: 5/5 No explanation is necessary.
Design: 1.5/5 Blossom is way too overdetailed. You can hardly see what's going on. And, it looks more a little like minced meat than a dragon.
Combo: 3/5 The parents itself aren't too bad, but with Divi being a release from last year makes it a challenge to some players.
Preference: 2.5/5 Although a great dragon at heart, Blossom is much too overdetailed, and the downsides outweigh the benefits.
