Spring has sprung, and that means picnic season is in full swing. Not only can you enjoy your lunch with the best seats in the house at a splendid Picnic Table, but four of the greatest wizards in all the land will be joining you. These magical magicians may pop up and quickly disappear in the Vale, but on your profile they will be permanently affixed to ensure year-round enchantment. Simply rate all the Bountiful Picnic dragons before the event concludes on 8 May, and you will have access to the most magical, delectable egg salad sandwiches.
Since we have completed two years of Rate a Dragon, there are now two previous spring awards to offer. Instead of the Picnic Table, you can choose the Cherry Tree from last year’s A Thawsome Spring, or if you prefer dragons over trees, the Clover Dragon from Luck of the Vale. So many options! After you’re done rating the Bountiful Picnic dragons, message me, and the Cherry Tree or the Clover Dragon will be added to your profile instead.
AWARD RULES
1. You must be a Forum member to receive an award because guest profiles are not retained.
2. Awards will display on your Profile page and mini profile. To see the awards, you’ll need to view the Forum in its desktop version since the mobile version does not support many features, including the full mini profile.
3. Awards will be permanent, but if you do not want them or would like them removed, just let me know.
4. If you prefer to not post publicly, you can message me your dragon ratings before the event concludes, and you will still receive the award.
5. Please be aware that awards will be added to your profile up to 12 days after the event concludes, depending on how busy the next event becomes, bug reports, schedules, and real life. Thank you for your patience.

1. Animation - 3 - more reused animations so I won't rate 5 but I do like the fire-throwing. I don't know much about the animal this dragon was based on but this dragon absolutely should be able to curl up into a ball and roll around, that would have made me rate 5 for cuteness

3. Price (13,500 Eggs) - 2.5 - I'd rate 1 if it weren't for the fact this has 10% Co-Op cloning odds
4. How well does Pangolian fit the theme of the event - 3 - spring is associated with new life so I guess anything based on an animal gets to be related to that theme, but again, not sure of picnic relation, besides the fact animals eat food I guess 🤷♀️

6. How would you rate Pangolian’s breeding combo (BRAMBLE + metal + earth) - 4.5 - not sure of metal relation but I certainly won't complain about a combo that doesn't require limited dragons. It does kinda feel like metal was added in so that the Rainbows could be a possibility though, and it means that Bronze and Chitin can be a result too. In general I'd like it if Deca could avoid using the metal element in combos unless it makes sense or is a hidden element of a required epic dragon, because most of the time it adds a lot of high-incubation-time dragons
7. How much do you like Pangolian (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) - 4 - I can see why others would like it but it's not my kind of thing
Comments/feedback for Deca: I agree that all animations should be included in the Dragonarium animation. I guess the fire-throwing wasn't included due to it going over a long distance but it's not much different to including props in the Dragonarium's animation. Given this dragon throws fire and is called a fire-breathing dragon in its description, its metal requirement could have been replaced with fire. That wouldn't have removed the Rainbow possibilities but would have meant Chitin and Bronze weren't issues.

PANGOLIAN DRAGON
1. Animation: 3.5, quite ordinary
2. Size (if you don’t own Pangolian, please check a friend’s park) 5 : Nothing to say. ( the real "Pangolin is not a big animal so it fits")
3. Price (13,500 Eggs) 1: Tooooo expansive! It is the first of the list!
4. How well does Pangolian fit the theme of the event 5: the real fellow eats ants, termites, and is a pretty good crumb catcher! So after your picnic with your Pangolian, you can put away your tablecloth, it's clean!

6. How would you rate Pangolian’s breeding combo (BRAMBLE + metal + earth) 5: Easy to get, and perhs due to its armour, metal element fits well....

I had the same thought about it dancing and the Macarena. 🤣
Animation: 1/5 Abraxas' animation does not fit this dragon whatsoever. With the lightning removed, Pangolian is embarrassing itself with its arms' animation.
Size: 5/5 Overall, Pangolian's size is fitting to my standards.
Price: 2/5 13,500 is a lot to pay to buy a starter. Especially for a rare dragon, it is much more worthwhile to attempt the 10% co-op odds.
Theme: 2/5 I do not really see the connection of Pangolian to the picnic/outdoor theme of the event.
Design: 1/5 Pangolian is a redesign of Abraxas, which I despise for two big reasons:
1: Abraxas is one of my favorite dragons, which really did not need a redesign in the first place. 2: A pangolin dragon has been requested by the community for a long time, it should have been created with care rather than being a redesign of an already existent dragon.
Combo: 5/5 The combo is simple and easy to acquire by all players.
Preference: 1.5/5 Pangolian is a huge disappointment. I was hoping for a pangolin dragon and had extremely high hopes and standards for it. Pangolian is simply a reskin of one of my personal favorite dragons, which ruins it for me in terms of both my standards and due to my liking for Abraxas. On top of that, it has proven to be, by far, the most difficult starter to co-op of the three, and my experience trying to clone it has further decreased my fondness for the dragon.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.

Comments/feedback for Deca : The fireballs make much more sense in Pangolian’s animation. It looks strange without then in the Dragonarium like he was dancing – very awkwardly. Pangolin means roller – a missed opportunity not making rolling part of Pangolian’s animation. Very expensive for a starting dragon. Not sure how it fits in the Spring/Picnic theme. Great breeding combo, not too difficult for most players to obtain.
