Really enjoy Melovine’s animation. Reminds me of Neoteric, which is one of my all time favorites!

Animation: 4/5 Could use a bit more personality.

Trait: 2/5 There is simply not enough. I have a hard time seeing what parts of the dragon are traited, since the details which do have the trait are really tiny.

Size: 4.5/5 Melovine could be just a *teeny* bit smaller.

Price: 4/5 Overall the price is high yet bearable.

Theme: 5/5 No explanation is necessary.

Design: 5/5 I especially enjoy the concept behind Melovine.

Combo: 3.5/5 Although it is simple to attain, Clairvoyant really does not fit all too well. I would rather have gourd as a parent, even if it is outside of this event.

Preference: 3.5/5 Although the concept is neat, Melovine is going to be a dragon in which I am going to forget about entirely.

The animation is perfection. I love the pumpermelon that Melovine interacts with and Deca's attention to DV's treats by putting pumpermelons in the spotlight.

It appears that Melovine was scheduled as the first limited but was switched with Mosser, and their prices were forgotten and not swapped. That’s not a problem, but it makes the price between Melovine and the next limited (Barkskin) a huge jump that players won’t appreciate and Mosser’s price tag a little high for the first limited release.

I don’t understand Clairvoyant in Melovine’s breeding combo. They both hold an object, but Clairvoyant never releases its ball; it’s glued to the dragon’s paws. And Melovine is not clairvoyant. Plumpkin would’ve been the ideal parent, but it’s in the harvest event. This begs the question, 'Wouldn’t Melovine be a better fit for the harvest event?'

Melovine is another dragon that players will either love or hate. But there is a lot to love with Melovine, like his fairy wings, vine-curled tail, and pumpermelon body. He is very unusual and a wonderful DragonVale treat, literally a pumpermelon DV treat!

The breeding combo doesn’t fit the dragon at all. Clairvoyant is so random!

I love the animation, it doesn’t matter if it’s been used before, DECA made it fit perfectly; it looks like it belongs with Melovine. I really like the pumpermelon body on this dragon!
