First of all, that animation... whoever did that... AMAZING JOB! Someone's a Monty Python fan! I was so happy when he started hopping around. Just so perfect!
Darkarm's a pretty generic looking dragon, but because of the medieval theme and Darkarm's genericness being very 'typical European dragon', it kind of works. I'm glad it isn't a strange anthropomorphic version of the Black Knight, that's for sure, but I think it still could have had a few more traits (besides colour) that represented the Black Knight. For instance, I'd have loved it if he'd had a long slit eye, kind of like Jackpot's, to represent the helmet. I also wish he was bigger and the traiting is a little lackluster. Really happy the price was good though. Yay!
I had to do a (not so) deep dive into Arthurian legend to discover the original Black Knight was a supernatural being, summoned by a knight. huh. Deca causes me to learn something new yet again. That explains the Apocalypse element, I guess. I'd been very confused, because Monty Python's Black Knight is only epic in his will to fight... and lack of dying.
Overall, I wish Darkarm was a little less generic and had a physical design element that mirrored a knight. Dragons really shine when they have character though, and in this case, it's definitely all in the animations. Brilliant work on that front.
eta: I forgot to mention how much I love Darkarm's egg!!! 5/5 for egg design. Looked really nice with the traiting sheen too.

Mind-blowing animation and such a hysterical and original way to pay homage to Monty Python and the Holy Grail while keeping with the King Arthur theme. Brilliant!
Darkarm could be a little bigger, but it's not the biggest deal.
This was not an easy dragon to breed in the Vale or the Rift. It has five elements in the breed combo, and its breeding percentage is not high enough to absorb all those breeding fails. Nightmare is an unusual parent. It doesn't fit the Dark Knight at all. Meanwhile, the Dungeon Dragon is screaming from the medieval dungeon. What a perfect dragon for the breeding combo and for this event! Dungeon + Darcowl would’ve been sublime because Darcowl brings the much-needed metal/dark elements, and Dungeon brings the much-needed fire/dark elements for a Dark Knight-inspired dragon.

The animation was surprising! I was not expecting the arms to fall off, and then it made me laugh with the reference. Love Darkarm's name! This is a solid dragon. I like how Darkarm is a standard dragon because that is the type of dragon we think of during medieval times when dragon and knight stories are really prominent. It’s the perfect event theme for DragonVale!
Nightmare is in a lot of breeding combos. It doesn’t fit with Darkarm. Dungeon was made for this breeding combo! What a missed opportunity.
