Eggy Hatchy is a mini-game that occasionally appears during events to help players earn more event currency by merging eggs and completing goals to clear a board. The game has changed over the years with new additions and versions. But it looks like Eggy has found a comfortable format that it hasn’t deviated from in a while, so now seems like a good time to provide an updated Eggy Hatchy tutorial.
Unfortunately, there are no clear instructions for Eggy Hatchy in the game, so new players don’t know where to begin, and players who need a refresher have to relearn the game. Hopefully, the following step-by-step instructions will explain how to play Eggy and provide some useful tips.

To access Eggy Hatchy, there is an Eggy Hatchy Portal in the Vale’s sky near the Galaxy habitats. When you tap it, the 'Eggs!' button will show, and the Eggy ticket counter will display in the upper right corner.
Tap the Eggs! button to start playing. There are three towers. In the image below, the first tower is called Basic Dancing. It contains three stages, and the boards are smaller and easier to complete. The second tower is Advanced Dancing and it also has three stages, but the boards are full-sized and more challenging. The third tower, Spiral of Singing, has ten stages all containing full-sized boards.
The Basic and Advanced towers expire at the game’s daily reset (14:00 UTC) and are replaced with new towers, so be sure to complete them on time. There are timers above each tower to help you keep track. The mega 10-level tower expires in seven days. After you complete the daily towers, slowly chip away at the weekly tower. The first stage of each tower is unlocked, and the upper stages are unlocked when enough points are acquired by completed Eggy Hatchy boards.
As of the writing of this guide, players will receive event currency for each stage they complete and bonus currency for completing each tower. The amount of currency earned through the weekly tower is increased each week.
TICKETS
Each Eggy Hatchy play costs a ticket. One ticket regenerates every 30 minutes for a maximum of 5 tickets. So be sure to return to the game frequently. A countdown timer to the next free ticket is displayed under the ticket balance. Players can also buy Eggy tickets from the Market. If you purchase tickets, the counter will exceed 5.
Don’t forget to watch an ad for a free daily Eggy Hatchy ticket! To access the Eggy section of the Market quickly, tap the Eggy Hatchy Portal then tap the ticket counter in the upper right corner of the screen. The Market’s Treasure section will open, scroll to the Sponsor Ticket to play the advert.
PRO TIP: Eggy Hatchy tickets do not reset or expire with the game’s daily reset. You can use this to your advantage if you’ve completed all the towers. Wait until the ticket counter is at 5, then watch the ad for a free ticket, so the counter is at 6. When the next daily reset occurs with new towers, you’ll have 6 Eggy attempts ready and a jump start to an egg-tastic day!

When you tap on one of the stages in the Eggy Hatchy tower, a board will open, filled with very familiar-looking eggs. The left side of the board lists the Goals. You will need to complete the goals to finish the board/stage. We’ll use this easy board as an example.
Eggs Goal: In the above screenshot, the Eggs Goal is 3. You will need to bank 3 eggs. The round badge with a 2 indicates the Level Goal is 2, and the fire banner indicates the Element Goal is fire. This means, the 3 eggs you bank must be level 2 eggs or higher (merged with 2 or more eggs) and have the fire element.
The eggs on the board all have a 1 on them, indicating that they are a level 1 egg. If two of the eggs are merged, the resulting egg will be a level 2 egg.
Points Goal: When you bank eggs, you receive points for the eggs. Eggs have different point values based on whether the egg is epic, rare, hybrid, twin, etc. When you bank an egg, it’ll appear on the right side of the board with the egg’s points. The Points Goal is 29,000, which means the eggs banked need to total 29,000 points or more.
Players must meet the Egg, Level, Point, and Element Goals to complete the board.

To merge two eggs, I selected the Flower egg by tapping it and the Nightshade egg by tapping it, then pressed the Merge button in the lower right corner to confirm.
I ended up with a Smoulderbrush egg. This meets the goal. It’s a level 2 egg (merged from two level 1 eggs) and has the fire element. So, I banked the egg. To bank an egg, tap the egg so it’s highlighted, then select the Bank button.
The right side of the board lists all the eggs you banked and the points they earned so you can be sure you’re on track to fulfil the goals.
MERGING TWO OF THE SAME EGGS
If you merge two of the same eggs, the resulting egg will have one additional level. For example, Tree (1) + Tree (1) = Tree (3). This becomes very valuable when the goal requires eggs to have 3-5 levels. So be on the lookout for duplicates!
CHALLENGING BOARDS
There are a variety of different Eggy Hatchy boards from easy to difficult. Here’s a difficult board that occurs fairly frequently. Notice that the eggs are all worth 2 levels instead of one (each egg has a 2 on it). To reach the required goal of a level 5 egg, you don’t need to merge 5 eggs, only 3 eggs (for a total of 6 levels). If you move the Watch egg by merging it with the Acid or Ice egg, you can merge the duplicate Mountain eggs. Mountain (2) + Mountain (2) with the additional level for merging the same egg will result in a Mountain (5) egg. This will meet the level and earth element goals.
REDO BUTTON
Make a mistake and merge the wrong egg? Do not despair. Just tap the Redo button, and you’ll be given an ad to watch. When the ad is over, your last move will be undone.
Players are given 5 Redos every day at the game’s reset. If you don’t use them, you lose them. The Redo total never exceeds 5.
Redo can be a lifesaver if you only need one egg to complete a super difficult board, and your final merge changes the egg to the wrong element (this is a common occurrence). Reversing the merge will give you another chance, and hopefully, this time, the element ends in your favour so you can finish the board. (If not, tap Redo again!)
IMPORTANT: Sometimes the Redo feature does not work, and ads do not play. There are many possible reasons for this, including but not limited to, devices with 4GB RAM or less, a slow processor, a large park, a slow internet connection, long game sessions, etc. Force closing your game, restarting, and then playing Eggy Hatchy first before engaging in any activities in your park can help ensure the Redo ad will play, but it is not a guarantee.

Special bonuses called Power-Ups can be found under the eggs on the boards. Power-Ups can double the point value or level of an egg, allowing players to reach the goals and complete the board.
Twin Power-Ups
After banking the Smoulderbrush egg, a Twin Power-Up was revealed!
If you merge an egg across a Twin Power-Up, the resulting egg will be a twin, worth double the points.
Merging the Dungeon egg with the Smoke egg resulted in a twin Watch egg worth 2,316 points. Since it met the goal of a level 2 egg and the element, I banked it. Once an egg is twinned, it will not lose its twin status, even if it’s merged with another egg.
Food Power-Ups
Similar to the Twin Power-Up, there can be Food Power-Ups hiding under the eggs. If you drag an egg across the treats, it will double the resulting egg’s level. Merging the Moss egg with the Watch egg, through a Food Power-Up…
… resulted in a level 4 Surprise egg!

• Eggy Hatchy follows the game’s breeding rules, so dragons with high breeding percentages will show more frequently. This also means that luck is involved.
• If you don’t clear a board, move on to the next one. Do not try the same board over and over. It will be frustrating and discouraging. Wasting five tickets on one board will infuriate anyone, so always try a different board and return to the challenging one later.
• Since Power-Ups can be hidden under eggs, start your merges around the middle of the board. If a Power Up appears, you have a better chance of using it.
• If you need to merge 3 or more eggs, and the element goal is plant, start with eggs that don’t have the plant element. And work your way towards an egg that has plant, so the last merge (or last couple of merges) will be with an egg with the plant element. Hopefully, the egg will inherit or retain the plant element after the last merge. This will also remove the eggs without plant that can’t help, and reserve the eggs with plant for the final critical merges.
• Once you’ve completed a tower, you can replay the stages, but you won’t receive any more event currency.
• Since the mega weekly tower is released every Thursday at the daily reset, players only have four days to complete the final tower because events always conclude on a Monday.
• Please be aware that Eggy Hatchy tends to add a lot of data to the game, so lagging, crashes, ads not playing, loading issues, etc, are usually more prevalent with Eggy Hatchy. Once Eggy departs with the event, your game should return to its former state.
You now have all the Eggy knowledge to conquer the game. Much luck and many eggs!
