The forever imaginative Neovally created the Sipho Dragon for Deca Games’ Depths of the Ocean Dragons Community Design Contest. Sipho and its baby stole everybody’s hearts with the siphonophore inspiration and colonial magic. Nobody could resist, and several months later, Deca brought Sipho to life in the Vale!

4. Price (13,000 Doubloons) 3.5 it's not a horrible price for a second limited, especially given good cloning odds and a decent combo, but after QYL's excessively high price, a lot of casual/newer players might not have been able to afford this after only a week

Comments/feedback for Deca The only thing bringing this dragon down is its price, and even that's only because QYL was unreasonably priced.
Thank you for changing the Lazuli parent to Bubble. It's great when Deca listens to feedback. Hopefully excessively difficult combos (imo 6/7+ elements and/or extremely-hard-to-breed parents) will be avoided from the start in future, especially since some players who look at the upcoming combos are trying for parent dragons from the start of the event. Deca has been given lots of feedback regarding combos over the years so they should be aware of what players generally consider to be unfairly difficult.
This is an absolutely gorgeous dragon. Definitely among my top 20, possibly top 10 or even top 5. I do like the original a lot, but imo the in-game version is even better (obviously nothing much changed, but the subtle differences in colour scheme take it from great to amazing for me). Congrats to Neovally (you are an awesome artist), and thank you very much to Deca for adding this lovely design to the game.

Nice rift placement. Sipho could be a bit bigger. Thank you for changing the breeding combo to something more attainable. A great addition to the Vale.

1. Animation: 2/5, Very generic and rigid, but I like how the small organisms of Sipho seem to fly off of it and reconnect in a lot of the animations. It really reminds you this dragon is actually made up of lots of smaller parts.
2. Rift trait: 4/5, I like how it travels through the "veins" of the body.
3. Size: 3/5, Very small. This might be in reference to the fact it's made out of many much smaller creatures?

6. Rate Sipho’s design: 2/5, I felt much more positive about this dragon before I saw what the concept art looked like, and now I am extremely dissapointed with the version we got. So many interesting design aspects were lost in the transfer, like the frills in the neck resembling seaweed rather than formless blobs, the continuous vein-like pattern moving through the body in a way that made sense, the translucency, the super beautiful segmented wings, and especially the colour scheme. It feels like Deca edited it severely to make it sillier and chaotic; the original was much more harmonious and gentle on the eyes. Even the face was changed to look goofier, which I wouldn't mind at all if it was on an independent design. The wing shape is so much more generic, which I can only assume was to save time on animation so it all moves as a rigid, unnatural block with no segments or follow-through. The body shape is now uninteresting and has clashing colours with the underbelly. It's not like Deca is usually concerned with keeping the dragons a consistent cartoonish/goofy style or bright colour scheme (see dragons like Hydnellum or Brood for extreme examples), so I have no idea why the original was edited so heavily.

8. How much do you like Sipho: 2/5, I absolutely love the idea of Deca using community-designed dragons, but I feel like they honestly butchered a beautiful design. The least they could do is alter the colour scheme to be closer to the intended palette. If they use another community design, I hope they take more care in recreating it faithfully.

The animation is limited. It only lasts 17 seconds, and Sipho repeats moves in that short time. But I like the 'glitter' that surrounds him, taking Sipho to the ethereal status he deserves.
This is a phenomenal design by Neovally! Sipho was instantly revered on Discord with reactions galore. Inviting siphonophores into the Vale as a dragon was a stunningly brilliant concept and perfectly executed to the tens.
Bubble was a nice change for the breeding combo. Cheers!
Deca’s version of Sipho is terrific because it follows the original design closely. Thank you for not deviating too much from Neovally's Sipho! The baby is an adorably plush little nugget, and the 'bell' on his collar makes him look like the ideal pet. This is one of those dragons that you need many, like a siphonophore colony of them on a water-themed island. SiphoVale.

First off, a GIGANTIC CONGRATULATIONS to Neo for getting their dragon put in-game. Sipho is just precious. I have 5 (mainly because I was trying to twin mine for a traited one and couldn't part with them). There are so many beautiful little details, which is why I'm annoyed that Deca made Sipho so small. It's absurd. But, I'm happy for Neo that Deca didn't change the dragon too much from the original. I know there are some superficial differences, like the mane not being on the front and the feet changing, but I think overall they cleaned it up nicely. I really like the accentuation of the body lines and the face is still very close to the original. The colours are beautiful.
Even more than the beauty of Sipho, I absolutely ADORE the swimming animations. The body movements are so smooth and just *chef's kiss*. I can watch Sipho the way I'd watch the fish in my irl aquarium. Very calming and soothing.
