Animation: 5/5 It's a unique animation with bonus additional frogs, one of the better I have seen.

Size: 4/5 The size increase greatly helped the dragon. Originally it was far too small.

Price: 3.5/5 Slightly on the pricey side for a starter with a 1% co-op clone rate.

Theme: 3.5/5 I can see the correlation to wizard school and the references to Harry Potter, it would have been a much better addition to Whitbee's Candy Bash.

Design: 1.5/5 Although the idea of a basilisk is interesting, the head shape and color palette of Hex is among the worst I've seen.

Combo: 4.5/5 Two permanents which are pretty simple to obtain makes Hex somewhat easy to breed - largest downside being the excess elements from Apocalypse.

Preference: 1/5 In terms of my dragon design preferences, Hex is a dragon which pretty much bundles everything I don't like into one dragon. Yet another apocalypse which further grows the need for a giant habitat, Hex's body style, size (before the increase), and especially the color choices puts it in the bottom ten for me. Even the added frogs won't save it...

Comments: Please DECA, slow down on adding more apocalypse dragons until we get a giant habitat. 26 dragons without a giant habitat is just absurd.

Comments:

Hex has got to have a face only a mother could love. I'm happy to see Deca branching out from their traditional face shapes. Thanks for making him MASSIVE. I love it. The wings popping out from nowhere is great. I really like the wings. The animation makes this dragon though. It was a good idea to give it a little fun, considering the dragon itself can't move limbs. That licking the frog animation is gold. Unsure why it had to have an apocalypse dragon parent to be an apocalypse dragon, but at least Deca chose the easiest, most-likely-that-everybody-will-have-it apocalypse dragon.

Comments/feedback for Deca

While it would’ve been great if Hex uncoiled a little, or even just moved its tail more, I get that it’s a lot of work. The red-backed poison frogs are easily the highlight of the animation. They are spectacular and even make Hex more likeable. I don’t fully understand why Hex would lick a poisonous frog, but hey, whatever floats your boat and trips your mind, Hex! The freezing animation, as a result of the frog licking, reminds me of Zero’s icy effect.

Hex’s description mentions exchange students, which is the first time in this event that any dragon or its description has acknowledged the event theme. But the description is a nonsensical poem with rhyming words. It doesn’t have anything to do with the theme, just a warning to not get bitten in the jungle.

Thank you for increasing Hex’s size. He was a tiny tot, like someone put a shrinking spell on him. Cheers for breaking the spell!

Comments/feedback for Deca: The shape seems a bit primitive, but I was delighted by the red frogs and green wings, super contrast to the purple dragon.

Thanks for increasing Hex’s size!
I love the frogs in the animation! Are there 7 frogs on purpose for luck?
Hex is a great concept, but his limited animation/mobility and mostly one color makes him less interesting than his adorable frogs.
