Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons into the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and relevant to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on November 27th. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.
Please take a minute to rate the Nights of Frights dragons from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your feedback on this thread or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your thoughts, and making this game even better with each dragon.

1. Animation 3? The falling bit of animation is terrible. It jumps out, turns into a still pose as it face plants, then rewinds back into the pot which looks really bad. Almost to the point that it looks in-progress still. It hoping around in the pot also doesn't look great. But running around outside of it isn't bad
2. Rift trait 1. I didn't notice it was traited the first several times I watched the loop, and when I did finally spot it the trait just looks like it has some taped on fruit loops.
3. Size (if you don’t own Candycorn, please check a friend’s park) 4. It's an ok size.
4. Price (16,500 Candy) 1. Would be a 0 if I could, Halloween is already chock full of dragons, and those dragons tend to be very expensive already, so for a dragon with a sub par design to be so expensive is abysmal. It's totally unnecessary to have a ~17k lead weight dropped onto us in addition.
5. How well does Candycorn fit the theme of the event 4? It's candy corn, it's a halloween candy
6. Rate Candycorn’s design 2,I think the puffed cheeks is supposed to look like its eating candycorn but it just looks like it's always about to hurl. The rest of it isn't good either. If I was showed that without being told to the name I wouldn't get candy corn at all. Even the spikes that are supposed to be the namesake hardly stick out
7. How would you rate Candycorn’s breeding combo (AMBROSIA + hidden) 1. Would be another 0 if possible. Ambrosia means more dragons that in an already bloated halloween market, and the hidden element just hurts players, because there are two hiddens in halloween and the elements provided do more harm then good for breeding candycorn. Hidden feels more like a justification for spawning the pot because there weren't any other ideas for animations. With the light element coming out of no where it should have just been teozenite + light element, it would add fewer dragons into the market when Halloween REALLY doesn't need more bloat, and it would remove the (seemingly) spiteful Hidden element.
8. How much do you like Candycorn (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 1. The nicest thing I can say about candy corn is that I'm glad it was only around for a week.

CANDYCORN DRAGON
1. Animation 5 ( and more if I could!) I think I must have been a candy corn in a past life. or I would have liked to be.... spending my time in a bath of candy! my dream (and even more that of my dentist...)
2. Rift trait 4: not very visible
3. Size (if you don’t own Candycorn, please check a friend’s park) 5 ( but if you want, dear Deca, you can enlarge the size of the cauldron 😋😇)
4. Price (16,500 Candy) 2: there are still two dragons left to find.
5. How well does Candycorn fit the theme of the event 5 ( or 10!!!)
6. Rate Candycorn’s design 5
7. How would you rate Candycorn’s breeding combo (AMBROSIA + hidden) 5 : difficult to get in my rift, but it is a hidden dragon, Basket was a good choice at last.
8. How much do you like Candycorn (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 10 ( oh sorry 5!)
Comments/feedback for Deca: it is a so cute dragon for this event which is full of fear and scary figures! Thanks a lot!
1. Animation 2 - as a hidden dragon, I have higher standards for creative animation than the regular dragons. If he wasn't a hidden dragon this would be a solid 4 animation. Kinda hoped he'd turn into a giant candycorn somehow. Or something related to trick-or-treating? Like maybe you got a pile of candycorn in your jack-o-lantern while trick-or-treating but SURPRISE it's actually clumped together to form a dragon!!
2. Rift trait 4 - not obvious at all but I prefer it that way personally
3. Size (if you don’t own Candycorn, please check a friend’s park) 5
4. Price (16,500 Candy) 2 - oh god that's steep
5. How well does Candycorn fit the theme of the event 5
6. Rate Candycorn’s design 3 - I think the smaller size in-game actually does it some favours because looking at the enlarged image provided here it doesn't look that great. The candycorn spikes are really the only thing its got going for it.
7. How would you rate Candycorn’s breeding combo (AMBROSIA + hidden) 4 - Ambrosia wasn't difficult to get in the rift for me and I had quite a few hidden dragons in there from the camping event. Though I ultimately got him through co-op I probably could have gotten him in the rift as well.
8. How much do you like Candycorn (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 3 - could be cuter and could be more creative
4. Price (16,500 Candy): 2.5, it is expensive. With actual breeding odds down to 2.76% and social cloning odds at 1%, it is not that easy to breed.
5. How well does Candycorn fit the theme of the event: 5
6. Rate Candycorn’s design: 5
7. How would you rate Candycorn’s breeding combo (AMBROSIA + hidden): 4
8. How much do you like Candycorn: 4
Comments/feedback for Deca: Of course you need Candycorns for Halloween. But why Ambrosia as a parent? Trick or Ortreat would be so much better. While I like the animation of it hiding inside the cauldron, I don’t think it is a “Hidden” dragon. The way I see the intent of the hidden element is for dragons to be “hidden” in a different form, not hiding in something.
1. 5/5 Fun animation 2. 1/5 There’s a rift trait?? 3. 4/5 A bit big especially as it comes with baggage 4. 2/5 Another scary price but fits the theme I guess 5. 5/5 Definitely fits the theme (but candy corn is very American I think? We don’t have it in the UK. Not a complaint, just an observation) 6. 4/5 Good colours, fun pot but a little cartoony 7. 4/5 Why Ambrosia? 8. 4/5 I like a dragon that brings along something extra
5. How well does Candycorn fit the theme of the event: 5
6. Rate Candycorn’s design: 4
7. How would you rate Candycorn’s breeding combo (AMBROSIA + hidden): 2
8. How much do you like Candycorn: 3
Comments/feedback for Deca: I like the colours, they suit Candycorn perfectly. The animation is good, throwing candy corn around is cute. I’m not surprised it falls over - those little wings struggle to keep it in the air. 😂 Perfect fit for the event. But what happened to its Rift trait? This is beyond subtle to almost non-existent. Despite breeding all week in the Rift, one park was unable to breed a Candycorn with a trait – but managed two in the Rift without a trait. Most frustrating. The breeding percentage was reduced too far due to the number of elements that the breeding combo contributed. Why was Ambrosia (and Delight) dragged into the event for the breeding combo, when Ortreat would be the perfect parent for Candycorn? Candycorn’s egg even looks like Ortreat’s egg. Ortreat was sitting there waiting to be selected. Candycorn doesn’t fit the expected Hidden dragon element. Hidden dragons are supposed to ‘morph’ into something else, not hide in a cauldron (or basket). Check Morphimagus or Vidalia for some great examples. Candycorn could have morphed into a larger candy corn in the cauldron. I feel like we’ve had this conversation before.

1. Animation 4/5
2. Rift trait 2/5, since the trait is mostly on the bottom half of its body you wouldn't be able to tell where it is initially because of it moving around in a cauldron lol
3. Size (if you don’t own Candycorn, please check a friend’s park) 5/5
4. Price (16,500 Candy) 2/5
5. How well does Candycorn fit the theme of the event 5/5
6. Rate Candycorn’s design 5/5
7. How would you rate Candycorn’s breeding combo (AMBROSIA + hidden) 3/5, not ortreat instead?
8. How much do you like Candycorn (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 4/5
Comments/feedback for Deca What a fun little dragon! My only issue is that the egg design should be changed because it looks too similar to ortreat's, would be better to avoid the confusion
