I usually go straight to the general thread but happened on this today so thought I'd respond too, although my names aren't nearly as interesting as a lot who've responded here. I'm not very good at thinking up creative names.
My forum username is from my pretty much defunct blog, karma and musings, which became my twitter id, karma_musings, but the forum wouldn't allow the underscore, so it's all just run on
My gcid is actually a corruption of my initials with a favorite number, gkkk04, b/c karma_musings is just too long! - but it got messed up in Game Center when I tried to restart DV on my phone, changing from playing on my ipod; GC wouldn't accept the 04 so I used 01 instead.
RoPhFi is an abbreviated version of a longer username which evolved from two other usernames when I got tired of separating them. Anyways, there used to be Rogue Outcast and PheonixWing (e before the o because I had awful spelling) and for a while I was PW a lot. Then, since I came up with those in...the sixth and eight grades or so, I decided to blend them and wound up with Rogue Phoenix Fire (my spelling improved!) but somehow that was taken, so I took the first to letters of each word for the cgid and decided to be consistent on the forum. And Rogue was because I liked the x-men. So yeah, I respond to a multitude of names. Rogue, Phe, Pw, Phoenix, etc. Now whatever people come up with from these letters xD

Peachwhip came to me by way of a joke by friends when I was younger. Hopefully I don't offend anyone, but Peach came from a certain body part and Whip came because of my love for Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty trilogy. Really enjoy reading how others came up with their GCID.
My GCID is onefingertypist. It is from my yahoo user name. I choose that name because it is how i type, with one finger! It was better than the other suggestion based off of how I type, which was "hunt_n_pecker". I said no because I could just imagine the messages I would be getting from that one.

My GCID: stkychic I have this name because I started slinging BBQ at a great joint in Rochester NY called sticky lips ( featured on man vs. food nation; NASCAR episode). Anyways, all us waitresses called ourselves the sticky chicks. When I tried to make that my user name for various places I found that others had already taken it so I modified it slightly and there you have it. Stkychic. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Pun intended, lol.

If I'm not daydreaming, I'm zoning. I tend to get "lost" a lot. All the stupid dashes are because someone else had the nerve to take my name. ;D
The 5150 isn't from Van Halen which a lot of people assume, it's because my loving mother, debstoy, threatened to 51/50 me at the mental health place she worked when I was 14 as a joke. It was Hil-Ar-Ious! ;D

That was the number on the form needing to be completed enabling the hold so it wasn't lawful imprisonment. Had to be very specific on why this was necessary. I said she was a teenager.
