Hello past-and-future participants of the I HATE competition. Please help me change the rules for future I HATE competitions.
I would like to get a sense from the community whether they would prefer the rules for this competition to insist that using two breeding is mandatory, or if just using 1 breeding site is mandatory.
I'm happy to accommodate the majority.
In either case, participants are always permitted to withdraw from the competition if something new and shiny comes out that they would rather focus on, as long as they promise to still give a gem to the ultimate winner.
Thanks for your valuable feedback.
See my clarification below, please.

Clarification.
ScarletIce made a good point to me by PM. What if you don't have the parents to breed the gem dragon? Or you only have 1 set of parents. Are you disqualified? NOOO!!! Breeding the parents as a first step to breeding the gem dragons is to use your breeding sites for the competition.
So please vote accordingly.
And apologies AGAIN for confusing y'all!

Wow I just assumed it was required to use both sites, which is why I never entered the comp. I didn't want to tie up my sites every month just trying to be breed these guys, especially now at the rate new ones are being released. I am so happy to see this post and looking forward to the results.

With so many dragons released I believe it is fair to have one cave going if you choose

only 1 cave, very hard to get any progress on the shrines if you cant breed panlongs in one of the caves

IMHO I say one cave. Reasons being if you don't have the parents needed. Also if you are in a position like I have been since I started playing the game I am always trying for multiples because I am so far behind on getting what I am trying to get. I do believe however if you do have the EBI you should be using it trying for the I hate dragons because the odds are better than that NBC.

Requiring both caves would eliminate players who have not leveled high enough to have the EBI.
If they chose to enter it would be with the understanding they are committing that cave to the gem dragon until bred, or would have to drop out if they want to change to another dragon.

Hi Shelle, as I clarified above, not having 2 sets of parents is not disqualifying. Using your second site to work on getting the second set of parents is in-bounds.

I also vote 1 cave.
And I believe that either cave should be suitable! In my case I have received my last 2 or 3 gem dragons in the regular updated breeding cave and not the breeding island.
There are just too many new dragons and you are never apprised up front as to which ones will be sticking around and which ones are limited.
Just my humble opinion. 😉

I'm OK with either however the contest will most likely last longer if it's just one cave required.

Ok when myke and I started this a couple months ago between the two of us it was pretty easy and really it should stay that way... Now we both used the ebc at all times. And the rbc when we could. As long as u have one of each of the parents at the start of the comp you should be allowed to join.. And as long as you are breeding nonstop in at least one cave you should be able to compete. Now it should be up to the person if they choose to use gems to speed up ( I know I do) but that should be a personal choice.. As long as u r honest and keep breeding this should be very easy, fun, and very frustrating!! And most of us are impatient enough to use both caves the first few days.. Myself included!!!!

I was probably not paying attention well enough when I read your post. I have the grandkids for a a few days and they are running me ragged. lol I can hardly think straight the last couple of days.

I didn't join the I hate peridot comp but would love to join the September one. Requiring one cave or two would be fine with me.
Is the September signup coming soon? And is it open to new players?
