Although after updating, I currently am unable to gift gems , but I'm sure they'll get that sorted out soon. (guessing those of us having problems accessing the friend list, are all still running pre iOS 5 update)

Half the fun of this competition is visiting each others' parks and then coming here to taunt and tease each other.
And what if you win? You'll need everyone to be a DragonVale friend if you want them to send you a gem.

I just burned up the gamecenter server sending out friend requests. Someone very kindly sent me a gem, but there's no need to do that until I actually win the competition
September 1 is almost here. I'm clearing out my caves in preparation for sapphire. So bring it on!

I just saw tommyb has a peridot egg in the nursery! Way to go Tommyb! Persistence pays off.
