With the new month, comes a new installment of POTM. It works like this:
You find a post you like and you nominate it for Post of the Month. You do this by quoting the post and adding the comment "Post of the Month" or if you think you can pull it off, simply "POTM". A Mod will move your POTM Reply to this thread. Conversely you can right click on the "Link to Post" at the bottom of each post and Copy Link Location. Then post in this thread with "Post of the Month" (or "POTM" if you think you can), right click in the thread and Paste.
You cannot nominate your own post ... I mean c'mon ... that's just really lame ... no matter how cool/funny/clever/poignant you think you were.
Each post can only be nominated once. The first person to do so gets the nod.
On September 1st (or thereabouts, I mean, we're all working folks here, well most of us) we'll make a Poll with all the nominated threads and everyone here will be invited to vote for their favourite thread. You'll have about a week to vote.
So about the 7th of October we'll have a winner, or more accurately, two, because the original poster AND the person who nominated them wins. What do you win? Gems of course. The mods will give a gem to both of the people that win the poll.
So, to sum up. - Make good posts. - Nominate good posts. - Vote for posts. - Profit.
In a totally ridiculous admission, my gym got Wi-Fi and I may or may not have been on the treadmill trying to breed Sapphire...okay, I was, and I like to think I was in training for Dragon Races.
No offense, Tommy, but this is music to my ears. Bodes well for those of us on the right side of the side bet. (btw, I didn't have a rain and had to look it up as well, hopefully my first one is almost finished breeding)
For anyone asking about the failure to look at friends list glitch, yes it is still a problem. Tried everything recommended anywhere (including some sort of hybrid Bavarian Rain dance with an inclusion of numerous and varied yogurt cups...don't ask, clean up is still ongoing and will probably end some time after I finally get a sapphire), to no avail. ---thus I cannot distribute lucky gems to help anyone achieve a successful sapphire breeding until some resolution has been reached
Finally, congrats to all those unlucky individuals who have already lost this competition! Pay attention to the board to see how real professionals (like Tommy and lostgirl) execute their game plans for this competition to perfection. Plenty of tips available for how not to breed successfully.

I've got to admit I'm intrigued about the yogurt flavors you chose.
Just checking out Tommy's park. He's still trying to breed a rain before he can get started. Lol. And you entered the speed breeding contest? How did that work for you? Snicker.
Well they say one must travel over the mountains and bear the rains that follow with only the survivors of all that nature throws at you being able to lay hands on the "Sapphire"
So thus far I have traversed many mountains, each time reaching the summit saying to myself yes this is it and alas I found myself knee deep in mud, blindly moving through ice and snow. Its as though my head is in a fog or I'm shipwrecked on an iceberg. Yet I keep hoping that with every mountain I climb I will see the rainbow or better yet its pot of Sapphire at its feet. Maybe it was the frozen fingers or brain freeze, maybe the vodka that snapped my resolve and alas me spent all me Gems, Yep 268 hard earned Gems flew out me sack and still no Sapphire.
With my last 8 Gems I move on, one small step after another, fingers frozen, face blue, I keep moving in the hopes of finding the Sapphire.
My personal opinion: I would focus on breeding two Blue Moon dragons. You only have a day and bit left. Then you can breed your display egg any time you want by breeding the two BMs together.
If you only breed 1 and display 1, and then you meet a really attractive girl who thinks that the BM dragons are the most gorgeoustest on the whole planet and would marry you if you could make her an island full of BM dragons, you'll be out of luck.
But it's up to you and your requirements. If you are fully satisfied with 1 dragon and 1 display egg, then stop there and get back to breeding other stuff.
The 2 sapphires have now joined their 3 friends on the island. However, among all this blueness I'm failing, since I'm really pursuing Rainbows and jealous of those getting them as fails! Meanwhile I'm now intrigued as to how many Sapphires I can accumulate, even two Peridot were too much strain on my nerves!
Stop grumbling Tommy, I'm still sending those gems out to TRY & spread the luck around! I'm planning to hire out my dragons to give breeding lessons.

Now I understand why your dragons are so slow to produce. You got lucky getting a Sapphire, in the future you might want to limit their access to the library.
Even worse... what if evil dwarves are getting the xp? What if they are taking that xp and building an evil army of littlekins whose aim it is to punch every tallkin square on the shinbone and then gnaw at their feet? What if this has already begun and there is nothing, or very little that we can do about it? I think I can see them in the bushes outside my house ... starring at me ... slobbering ... hungry for my feet ... RUN!
Floodgates won't be open till Noah has finished the ark. He's constantly having to expand it to hold two of each new Dragons BFS keep releasing, so there's a bit of a holding pattern on opening the floodgates, atm.
My theory is that BFS wait for Fletch to post what he thinks the combination will be and then they do the complete opposite. I'm going to wait for Fletch to proclaim before I make my prediction.
Anyone find the combo for the Milk Dragon yet? Cuz I just woke up, and in my dream we were still trying to figure it out. So cute all black and white, chubby like a baby!
So is this the cut off point? Am I playing too much DV? Or do my worlds just collide in my dreams... I did wake up to breastfeed my babe after all. Oh my lol, maybe when I go back to sleep there will be an accompanying cookie dragon!!
