Well, i make my life easy, before putting a dragon in the arena, i look at the trophees received, ie of course the list of gold trophees and I just put exactly the same dragon which already won gold for that element, it works 99.9 % of times and i get a gold reward.
Hey Viviane! I use the same game play as you do. This strategy always nets me Gold.
Glad it works for you too and for Shirley. Why change winning dragons and try with another and risk a silver or even a bronze medal lol
Risking, my friends, is the most accomplishing way to win =D
You might want to start a list, using your highest level dragon for each competition. Some people don't repeat the most recent used dragons, others use what ever dragon has won the most golds. Neither is "right", just what works for them.
You also have to take into consideration you are committing that dragon to 24 hours of exile, and cannot be used for breeding.
My 5 yr old gson was so excited when he could buy the coliseum. Then he didn't have the correct dragon, so decided to use whatever, was thrilled that he got a bronze medal. He had been watching some of the Olympics with us, so he knew getting any medal was to be celebrated! He was as proud as if he had competed himself!
Playing with the grandkiddie adds an entirely new dimension to the game. I may feel some of her disappointments as keenly as she does. Some of her successes are as exciting as my own.
Before I took over her park for the summer (no Internet where she spent the summer), she had been struggling mightily to breed a Panlong. When I told her by phone that I had bred six or seven, she squealed, " Oh, Granny! Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!" I could imagine her jumping up and down with the phone in her hand. It may have been the best conversation I had with her all summer.

My dragons love sharing the party wealth with new friends, but all the gems are spoken for. New friends are welcome, but no gems are left to shar

My grandson and I laugh because he always gets gold! He pays no attention to the levels but does match the elements. I, on the other hand, rarely get gold ..... (maybe 1out of 5), I match elements and run with the highest level I can. I haven't seen any correlation to level at all.......

Once again BFS sits and laughs at us as we think we know what we don't.
