I have an iPad 2, 16. I didn't get the wifi. Actually my husband got this for me for my birthday and put a lot of thought into and decided not to get the wifi cuz it costs more and your locked into a cellular provider and a data plan. We got a mifi from Verizon which will run up to 5 devices at a time. The mifi was free with a two year data plan that probably is as much as an iPad data plan but we can use a laptop, nook, the daughters kindle and iPad at the same time. No worries about Internet. Works for us.
Wifi is minimum, Debs. It's either wifi or 3g/cellular. 3g/cellular requires a cellphone provider and all that jazz. Wifi is the base model and it can't do cellular, only, ha ha, wifi.

Oh right. Lol. I was thinking cellular. Of course I would have to have wifi. Smacking my forehead. Duhhhhhhhhh!

Ipad2 32g with wifi. I use my iPhone 4S as a hotspot when I want to use my iPad away from home, but I wish I had got the 64g one, as I store a lot of photos on the iPad.

I have an IPad2 16g and it was given to me last Christmas by my daughter's friend who is like a daughter to me. She had it engraved on the back, "The World's Best Mom!!." I was shocked when I received it, yes I cried like a big baby. One of the best parts of having it is Dragonvale, yeah. Janet
I have a2 with 64GB and 3G. Now I'm wondering if I can just use my iPhone and cancel the 3G. Does it take any extra equipment to work as a wifi hot spot?
I have the "New iPad" 4G 64 Gig and am so glad that I bought this one. I have movies on there for the kids when we travel together etc and tons of music as well as music video's. I also have the unlimited 4G on it. Thankfully it was grandfathered in because they only offered unlimited for approx the first month they released the first iPad. Guess it was really bogging down servers.

My iPhone is a 3GS and I have unlimited. But when the youngest granddaughter was born I was streaming music and letting the boys watch Netflix. My usage got up to about 2 gig and the phone company messages me telling me I'm in the top 5 % users and if it continued they would slow my access down. How's that for unlimited? Heard some guy in So. California sued and funny thing I was never actually limited. Now the boys watch Netflix on the iPad.
I have the 32g with wifi/4g and it is plenty for me. Don't have music or watch movies on it, but lots of pics. So far have used 13.1g, 14.9g still available.

I have an iPad 2 with 16 G just wifi. It is my only apple device, my cell phone is a simple Nokia 6300. My desktop is Windows ( I like playing other games)
I have an Ipad 3 with 32 G and wifi. Have given the former one (ipad 2) to my brother in law. I have no Iphone, doubt I will ever have one as I hate phoning; have a PC and a laptop. No Macs and I do not plan to have one ever.

Wow. That is crazy. Are you using AT & T? That is BS. I don't use mine that much so I have not been up against that problem yet. Even on road trips it seemed to do ok. I am sure they do that on the unlimited units though..they problem just slow it down and who is to know the difference if you are out and about and not sure if the service is great in that area or not.
I have a 32gb without 3G and that's more then enough (still around 10 gb empty). The only thing to consider next time is to go for 3g built in ( not for home, where wifi and terrestrial adsl might give you a much better response time ). In our family we have all different types ipad 1/2/3 , but out of the four (for 5 family members :-O ) 3 are 32gb and noone complained about it yet.
We can't be all heroes, because somebody has to sit on the curb and clap when they pass by.

I have the new iPad, 64gb. Didn't really need the size but someone else was paying and I didn't want the constant temptation and cost of 3G. My cell is a lovely flip top that I got last year and is seriously outdated already, my laptop is Windows 7
