I'm finding microscope to be a challenge. It's been on my goal list for several days and I believe only bot I don't have. I've tried several of the combos- repair/science, science/X-ray and repair/X-ray.

Well for microscope i just used the plain basic science and repair bots.
Had much more troubles for magnet (grav and science) and last one i finally hatching, x ray which i got with microscope and science.

Don't hate on me - think I just got one, first try with Science + Repair. Will find out in 5 h, less if I get any boosts. Hint, hint.

I guess I need to do some venting or whining or something because I still have the spray bot as a goal and need to find a combo for Astro with that as a fail so I get rid of it. LOL! Now, getting the Astro would be nice because then I could try and breed other things. I kept getting caterpillar, carrier and beat or rock bots as fails....oh and lots of Frankens. I nearly danced for joy when I got an Aloe!!! First new bot in quite some time. LOL!

For Spray (N/R) with a chance of Astro, I would probably go with Safety + Flower (assuming you don't have science yet). You also could go with Safety + Aloe, since we think any pair of hybrids can give the Astro.

Thanks Darian. I'll try that. I'm still level 13 so no science yet. Okay, we'll I don't have a safety. I just checked. I only did the one allowed breed with Repair to get a hybrid and got welder. Using welder for Asto Breeding I got Trainer and Aloe.

I try and make sure I have 4 elements when I breed for Astro. Right now I'm using aloe and carrier. I have a4 hour time so not sure what that will yield.

Welder and Safety are equivalent, but if you are sticking with four elements you can avoid caterpillars by making sure you don't have both mining and nature at the same time. So if you want Spray, use Aloe + Beat/Franken/Hammer.

Spamming for Astro...
Just noticed that the Gizmo sandbox at 2084.org has had the Astro function taken down. Reason was that it is possible that any combination can result in Astro. Welder/Safety seems to have only three permeations (welder 1hr/ safety 2hrs/ astro 48hrs).

Shame I spent all those gems on Rock/Safety.....oh well!

Edit: Just realised this is kind of old news...nvm.

We're not sure about using Pure elements just yet, but it certainly seems that any 2 hybrids can make an Astro.

Yeah it might make astro for some but for me and Liquid it doesn't seem to be there. Hmmmm. Maybe we need to make a bet. I bet a crystal Liquid gets one before me. Any takers?

Well it would only work if someone was betting against you to pay the crystal. But we seem to be betting the same thing. And I just read in another thread Liquid got his crystal tonight sow we win. Lol. Not sure what be we did.

While grinding for an Astro using Weld and Safety, I was being too clever and tried to scroll both sides of the breeding station at once. Misclicked the breed button and ended up with stupid caterpillar....ARGHHH...and still no Astro!
