So how do you actually do it? I asked in the tips thread but the answers got lost in the many pages. I have three silver now, do I concentrate on one shrine at a time? Or I have loads of bloom dragons do I level those up? Where do I store them? Trace

Post in here so Fletch can see. He will need to know what dragons you do not have a pair of I think. Also post how many of 50 towards each shrine that you have completed so far.

Hi Trace,
If you provide me with how many elements you have for each shrine so far, I can provide a way of getting your shrines in a pretty efficient way. Going for Gold is a bit different to going for Silver, because there's a lot more time involved in earning the coins you need to grow the food. But if Gold is something you think you will aim for down the track, then I would recommend putting that strategy in place and just working towards that. The Silvers will come as a matter of course.
Hibernation Cave upgraded to hold 100 is very important, so that you can store these dragons. Even at max capacity, you will have to sell some of them after you've leveled them up for your shrine.

Also levels and shrines. And if you have two Sandstorms. I take it you are still early 20's? When I started silver in December I went Poison (Fire/Plant) Sandstorm (Air/Earth) Storm (Cold/Lightning) Water (Water
Of course the game has changed. The only dragons I would recommend storing are Panlong and Blooms. Long breeding multiple elements.

Hardcore! You know I was a very avid wow gamer for 6 years. My hubby and I played way too much - we were Addicted. I'm talking about 10 hours a day every day, and whole weekends lost to the game. It was a problem. We went cold turkey Christmas before last. I really don't want to get too riled up with strategy, commitment and thinking I have to do x y and z. Can the shrine thing be done in a casual way? I'm in no rush. I'm level 25 have two friends I get gems from, I don't buy gems or use any real money. Sometimes I'm good at collecting the dc. I love breeding the most. I don't have any rare dragons only the blooms. I got my first sun egg the other day and my little two year old sold it while it was in the hatchery. Using up half of my gems. Cry. Tracey

I saw that post with your two year old. Cry, cry indeed.
Your approach to the game is identical to mine. I don't spend any money on the gems, and only exchange gems with my immediate family. I only check the game a couple of times during the day to collect coins and put something in the Breeding Caves and I'm more about having my islands look good then optimising them to collect coins. I'm certainly in no rush. But I realise that because I'm taking things so slowly, it's important that each step I take be towards my goal. I've got the list of dragons I need to make Gold Shrines in my sig, and each time I achieve one, I decrease the number required.
So I can set something similar up for you to help you get to a destination in the least number of steps. How often you take those steps is up to you.
Conversely, just keep playing the way you are and don't worry about the Shrines. There is no advantage to having them, they are just something to try and achieve during the game. Breeding Blooms and Panlongs will help achieve more of the shrines quicker, because they have 3 and 4 elements in them. But if you just want to grow the dragons you like and feed them up to Silver up those shrines, well that's entirely up to you. There is no right or wrong way to play. That's the great thing about this game.

oh dear I'm terribly sorry about that Tracy ....kids eh .....my two year old tries but always gets caught luckily !!! though I do dread the day I wake to an empty park lmao x x x vicky x
The food you've spent so far is negligible to what you're going to spend to get to Gold. But a plan for getting your Silvers as quick as (which negates Pans for their 36 hour breeding time)
28 Earth 35 Water 35 Air 25 Fire 16 Plant 17 Cold 43 Metal
17 Lichen will get rid of Plant Cold quite quickly, but if you want to plan ahead for your Gold Shrines, you could make these Blooms and feed them straight up to Level 15.
8 Iron, 5 Brass, 15 Chrome and 15 Rust get rid of your Metal and tidy up the numbers of the others. You've got a couple more Rust and Chrome than you need for Gold, but it's not too bad.
20 Earth 20 Water 20 Air 20 Fire
Now 20 Blazing and 20 Mud will finish off your shrines to Silver a lot faster than 20 panlongs and earning the food will be no problems. If you are looking towards Golds in the future, then 20 Panlongs here will be a much better, but slower, start. So
The other important thing is to make sure you've upgraded you Hibernation Cave twice so that it holds 100 dragons and you can store some of these. Once they've reached Level 15 you're right to sell them (I'm assuming you have bought all 8 shrines), but you'll have spent a bit on them at that point, so it wouldn't hurt to keep the ones you can, especially Bloom and Panlong ... assuming you go down that path.
Thank you so much, Fletch! It is so good to have a plan of attack. Have been troubled as to which dragons to keep and level up, and which to sell. Have saved and upgraded the HC and have quite a few dragons in there that can now be fed and sold.
Appreciate your time and expertise, it is very valuable info. Thank you again!
Could you please help me? I have gotten all my silver shrines. I am not too sure on how to go about getting the gold shrines the best way. Here are my numbers so far:
Habitat Type Count Level 2 Rainbow 2 All (10) 2 Leap Year 2 All (10) 3 Sun 3 All (10) 2 Moon 2 All (10) 2 Fire 8 4 Love (15), 1 Scorch, 1 Fire, 1 Firefly and 1 Flower (13) 1 Air 4 2 Fog and 1 Air (13), 1 Sonic (12) 1 Lightning 4 3 Bloom (15), 1 Cactus (13) 1 Plant 4 2 Lichen and 1 Plant (13), 1 Reindeer (12) 1 Metal 4 2 Magnetic (12), 1 Chrome (14), 1 Metal (10) 6 Cold 18 6 BlueFire and 10 Frostfire (15), 1 Cold (13), 1 Ice (11) 6 Earth 18 10 Panlong (15), 1 Tree, 3 Clover, 1 Mud (13), 1 Iron (12), 1 Earth (14) and 1 Iron (10) 2 Water 8 1 Iceberg and 1 Fog (13), 3 Iceberg, 2 Fog and 1 Water (12) ------------------------------- 29 Total 77 ==================
Shrine Level 10 Level 15 Fire 106 29/50 Cold 96 19/50 Earth 98 10/50 Air 66 10/50 Water 66 10/50 Lightning 104 7/50 Plant 63 7/50 Metal 50 0/50
117 dragons @ 1492 hours or 62 days. About 2 dragons a day in one breeding cave. You need about 32 million a day to pay for the food you need to level them up.
My suggestion is to breed Mag/Irons in one cave (or possibly Rusts if you can't check every 4 hours during the day) and use the other for breeding your required dragons. If your DC earnings per day are much different to the 32 million needed for food, you can either breed for cash in both caves or breed required dragons in both caves. Also don't work on one type, but mix them up. Breed a Panlong (put in about 6 or 7 at night) then when it comes out put a short one in that morning. That will give you 2 dragons in 2 days. Then repeat the process.
Thanks so much for working out so quickly, Fletch.
Can I also ask :-
1. Do I feed whatever dragons I have (in the park and HC) up to 15? Or do I sell off those that I don't need now?
2. Which habitats should I sell off and buy to accommodate all those required dragons?
Thanks again.
Any that are on the list I provided you can feed up. Don't bother about feeding the others. Because feed required doubles each level, any Level 13 dragon has only had a quarter of the feed required to get to Level 15. Feeding them the other 3/4 of the food is a waste. To achieve shrines anyway. If you like them and want to keep them you can do what you want with them, obviously. Generally you should keep 2 of all dragons, especially the rare and limited dragons so you can breed more of them at any point you need to. More than that is up to your personal preference.
The addition of the HC have made things so much easier to shuffle dragons around and achieve your shrines. Even so, you won't have room to keep all the dragons I've listed. So quite a few of them you will be breeding, feeding and selling. My advice is to keep the park the way you want it, and get rid of the dragons you don't need.
Thanks Fletch for posting this. I really like this thread. I remember I completed the 7 Silver Shrines before the Hibernation Cave and ended up using a lot of treats and selling dragons since I didn't have space for them.
The only Silver Shrine I don't have is Metal because I thought that if I really wanted to I could already level up all the other dragon except for 1 (Metal) to level 15 and it would make sense to wait and just store the Metal dragons in the Hibernation Cave to get Silver and then continue up to Gold.
Personally I haven't thought much about the Gold Shrines for me because I dread having to use all the money on treats to do so. I also am not a fan of the orbs so I don't really level my dragons past level 10 for now.

Again, this is a really good and useful thread.
Thank you sir, and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here.
Everything works out with the dragons you've laid out for me, except it leaves 16 Waters. What have I missed?
Thanks! Poppy
Originally we only had 23 Waters down which was covered by 19 Rusts and 4 Panlongs. Not sure how we got up to 29 now ... Also my Metal numbers were wrong in the original calculations, so that will be a problem as well. So
