Thanks, ElektronX! I have the same problem - usually the one I'm currently working on becomes my favorite! They are regular colored pencils - Prismacolor brand. I love gradients and blending - the soft cores of the Prismacolors make it pretty easy to do while still getting vivid color.

Love the spring one!  Of course, daffodils are my favorite flower.

These aren't technically DV dragons, but they were inspired by DV. Specifically, I'm not enamored with DV's butterfly dragon so I decided to create my own, plus the seasonal dragons made me think of creating mine in different seasonal "habitats". Enjoy!

The first one I created was Dragondala Summer- young dragons enjoying the warm days amid the morning glories. I skipped around a bit. Dragondala Spring was next, with Mama dragons encouraging the hatchlings emerging from their eggs amid the daffodils. Then romance blossoms along with the glorious fall mums in Dragondala Fall. And finally, the couples cozy up to keep each other warm in Dragondala Winter. I think they chose the holly bush because the spikes on the leaves mimic their wings. Maybe butterfly dragons are color blind and thought they would be hidden among the leaves?

I have to vote for summer myself! Love the colors, the flowers, the dragons. And I'm glad the images linked out to the gallery - the close-up view showed such vivid detail! I was truly impressed when I saw up close Thanks for sharing!!!

(BTW, schools closed all across the region here due to dangerous wind chills... summer was almost a given for choice  )

Euroknuter, I can understand the choice. The wing wind (laughing at my tablet changing wind to wing!) has been nonstop here for at least 3 days! Thankfully, not a lot of snow yet, but still not fun going outside!

I would like to POTM this, but I heard a rumor that your drawings were now off limits. If it is true, just know that I did it in spirit. I love the pictures, and I know how you feel. For me snowflake 3 was the problem. By the way, I am going to see if we can hang this over the mantel in the billionaire club's library so that I can see it from my corner. Truly amazing, ElektronX. It's great to have such a wonderful artist among us. I love all your drawings. 
And I hear you have a knack for getting upcoming dragons right. The names, the elements... I really would love if you were to draw dragons for BFS to release on Dragonvale. The game would get even better that it is.

Lemmy, this is gorgeous! All of those scales are amazing and the night breath is very cool I can only imagine how long it took to scale him. Great job!
